## Pricing

from $2.49 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keywords to check, one per line, e.g. web scraping api. Commas stay inside a keyword. Each keyword gives one row per search engine.

## `targetDomain` (type: `string`):

Your domain, e.g. apify.com (a full URL is fine; www. is ignored). Subdomains count as matches: docs.apify.com ranks for apify.com.

## `competitorDomains` (type: `array`):

Other domains whose best position is reported in the same row (competitorRanks), e.g. scrapingbee.com.

## `searchEngine` (type: `string`):

Google pages come through Apify's GOOGLE_SERP proxy; Bing through the residential proxy in the chosen country. 'both' gives one row per engine for each keyword.

## `countryCode` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country of the search, e.g. us, gb, de, in. Google gets it as gl=; Bing gets a residential IP in that country.

## `languageCode` (type: `string`):

Interface / results language, e.g. en, de, fr, es (Google hl=, Bing Accept-Language).

## `googleDomain` (type: `string`):

Google domain to search, e.g. google.com, google.co.uk, google.de.

## `depth` (type: `integer`):

How many organic results to scan per keyword and engine. The Actor follows the engine's own next page (Google start=, Bing's Next link) until this many results, the last page, or the domain is found (see below). Google shows 7-10 results a page.

## `stopWhenFound` (type: `boolean`):

Stop paging a keyword once the target domain appears (cheaper). Turn off to scan the full depth and list every position of the domain (otherPositions) and of the competitors.

## `maxKeywords` (type: `integer`):

Safety cap on the number of keywords checked in one run.

## `includeCompetitors` (type: `boolean`):

Add the top 10 organic results (rank, domain, URL, title) to every row.

## `detectAIOverview` (type: `boolean`):

Report whether Google showed an AI Overview, its cited sources, and whether your domain is cited. Parsed from the results page; no extra request or charge.

## `baselineRanks` (type: `array`):

Earlier ranks to compare with, e.g. \[{"keyword": "web scraping api", "rank": 7, "searchEngine": "google"}]. Overrides the saved history for those keywords. rank null = not ranked.

## `trackHistory` (type: `boolean`):

Save each keyword's rank in a named key-value store and report previousRank, rankChange and movement on the next run (schedule the Actor to build a ranking history).

## `historyStoreName` (type: `string`):

Named key-value store that keeps the rank history (letters, digits and dashes). Use one name per project.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Used for Bing pages and as fallback for Google link resolution. Residential is the default; when no country is set here, the Country code above is used. Google results pages always use Apify's GOOGLE_SERP proxy.
