## Pricing

from $2.49 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Yahoo Finance Scraper — quotes, company data, price history and news

The Yahoo Finance Scraper reads Yahoo Finance for stocks, ETFs, indices, crypto, forex and futures: live quotes with company data (profile, financials, key statistics), daily or intraday price history, the latest news per ticker (optionally with full article text) and Yahoo's predefined screeners such as day gainers and most actives. No login.

#### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `mode` | `quotes` (default), `history`, `news`, `screener` |
| `tickers` | `AAPL`, `BRK-B`, `^GSPC`, `BTC-USD`, `EURUSD=X`, `GC=F`, `7203.T` or quote links |
| `summaryModules` | quotes: extra modules, e.g. `assetProfile`, `financialData`, `defaultKeyStatistics`, `summaryDetail`, `earnings`, `incomeStatementHistory` |
| `historyInterval`, `historyRange`, `startDate`, `endDate` | history: bar size (1m ... 3mo) and period |
| `includeArticleText` | news: also read the article text on finance.yahoo.com |
| `screenerIds` | screener: `day_gainers`, `day_losers`, `most_actives`, ... |
| `maxItems` | Rows per ticker (history, news) or per screener (default 100) |

#### Output

| Mode | One row per | Main fields |
|---|---|---|
| quotes / screener | symbol | symbol, shortName, regularMarketPrice, change %, volume, marketCap, trailingPE, forwardPE, EPS, dividend yield, 52-week range, averages, earnings date, analyst rating, `quote` (all 86 fields), `summary` (modules) |
| history | price bar | symbol, date, datetime, open, high, low, close, adjClose, volume, dividend, split, interval, currency |
| news | article | title, publisher, link, publishedAt, relatedTickers, thumbnailUrl, author, articleText |

#### Measured (2026-10-03, local, see TEST_REPORT.md)

- 3 quotes with 4 modules in 5 s. 250 screener rows in 6 s.
- 7,411 one-minute bars for AAPL in 30 s (whole 30-day window). 106 weekly bars for 2 symbols in 3 s.
- 8 news items with full text in 10 s.

#### Limits

- Yahoo keeps 1-minute bars for the last 30 days (8 days per request; the Actor walks the windows), 5/15/90-minute bars for the last 60 days and 1-hour bars for the last 730 days (measured from Yahoo's own answers); longer requests are shortened with a warning. Daily and longer bars cover the full history.
- Yahoo returns about 46 news items per ticker at most; articles hosted on publisher sites keep only headline and link.
- Quotes are what Yahoo shows (some exchanges delayed); unofficial endpoints.

#### Example

```json
{"mode": "history", "tickers": ["AAPL", "MSFT"], "historyInterval": "1d", "historyRange": "1y", "maxItems": 300}
```

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

quotes = one row per ticker with price, change, volume, market cap, P/E ... plus the quoteSummary modules you pick; history = one row per price bar (daily or intraday); news = the latest Yahoo Finance news for each ticker; screener = Yahoo's predefined screeners (day gainers, most actives ...).

## `tickers` (type: `array`):

Yahoo Finance symbols or quote links: AAPL, MSFT, BRK-B, ^GSPC (index), BTC-USD (crypto), EURUSD=X (forex), GC=F (futures), 7203.T (Tokyo), https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/.

## `summaryModules` (type: `array`):

Extra company data per ticker, one request per ticker: assetProfile (sector, industry, employees, officers, website, address), financialData (margins, cash, debt, analyst targets), defaultKeyStatistics, summaryDetail, price, calendarEvents, earnings, recommendationTrend, incomeStatementHistory, balanceSheetHistory, cashflowStatementHistory, majorHoldersBreakdown, insiderHolders, upgradeDowngradeHistory. Empty = quote only.

## `historyInterval` (type: `string`):

Daily, weekly or monthly bars cover the full history. Intraday bars are limited by Yahoo (1m: last 30 days, read in 8-day windows; 2m-90m: last 60 days).

## `historyRange` (type: `string`):

How far back, used when no start date is given. max = the whole listing history.

## `startDate` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Overrides the period.

## `endDate` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Empty = today.

## `includeArticleText` (type: `boolean`):

Also open each finance.yahoo.com article and return its text and author (one extra request per article). Articles hosted on publisher sites keep only the headline and link.

## `screenerIds` (type: `array`):

Yahoo predefined screeners, e.g. day_gainers, day_losers, most_actives, undervalued_growth_stocks, growth_technology_stocks, aggressive_small_caps, small_cap_gainers, most_shorted_stocks, undervalued_large_caps.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

history: newest bars kept per ticker; news: articles per ticker (Yahoo returns about 46 at most); screener: rows per screener. quotes mode always returns one row per ticker.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential proxy in the US is the default: EU exits get Yahoo's cookie-consent page instead of data.
