## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## VK Community Posts Scraper & New-Post Monitor (No Login)

**Scrape the wall of any public VK (vk.com) community - group, public page or event - with no login, no cookies and no VK API token.** Paste community URLs or short names and get one flat row per post: text, publish time, likes, reposts, views, photos, videos, clips and links, with the post URL and ID.

Turn on **monitoring mode** and schedule it: the first run remembers the newest post of each community, and every later run returns **only the posts published since the last run**. A community with nothing new costs one small check instead of rows.

Typical uses:

- **Monitor VK communities for new posts** - brands, media, competitors, official pages - and send them to a sheet, Slack or your database every hour or day.
- **Export VK public page posts to CSV, Excel or JSON** for research, media monitoring and engagement reports.
- **Track engagement** (likes, reposts, views) of a community's posts over time.

### What you get per post

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `postId`, `postUrl` | VK post ID (`-22822305_1729393`) and its public URL (`https://vk.com/wall-22822305_1729393`) |
| `text`, `textLength`, `hashtags` | Full post text (the "Show more" part included, emoji kept) and the hashtags in it |
| `publishedAt` | Publish time in UTC (VK shows Moscow time to the minute; it is converted) |
| `publishedDate`, `publishedAtPrecision`, `publishedText` | Date of the post in Moscow time, how precise the time is (`minute`, `day`, `approximate`) and the date exactly as VK displays it |
| `likesCount`, `repostsCount` | Likes (reactions) and reposts (shares), exact |
| `viewsAtLeast`, `viewsShown`, `viewsCount` | Views as VK displays them (`7.9K`), as a number (`7900`), and the exact count when VK shows it exactly (below 1,000) |
| `attachmentTypes`, `attachments`, `attachmentsCount` | Photos, videos, clips, documents, audio, polls, articles, products, each with its vk.com URL |
| `photoUrls` | Direct image URLs of the photos in the post |
| `linkUrls` | Outbound links in the post (VK's redirect removed) |
| `postedBy`, `coAuthorPostId` | `community` or `co-author` (a post published jointly with another community, with the other community's post ID) |
| `communityId`, `communityName`, `communityUrl` | Which community the post is on |
| `change`, `isFirstCheck`, `previousCheckedAt` | Monitoring mode: `first-check` or `new-post`, and when the previous check ran |
| `input`, `pageUrl`, `scrapedAt` | The line you gave, the page that was read and when |

Example row (made up for this README):

```json
{
  "communityName": "Example Community",
  "postId": "-123456_7890",
  "postUrl": "https://vk.com/wall-123456_7890",
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-10T20:50:00.000Z",
  "publishedAtPrecision": "minute",
  "text": "Our new release is out today. Thank you for testing it with us! #release",
  "hashtags": ["release"],
  "likesCount": 72,
  "repostsCount": 6,
  "viewsAtLeast": 7900,
  "viewsShown": "7.9K",
  "attachmentTypes": ["photo"],
  "postedBy": "community",
  "change": "new-post"
}
```

### How to use it

1. Put one community per line in **VK communities**: `https://vk.com/team`, `team`, `club22822305` or `public22822305`.
2. Set **Maximum posts per community** (default 20, up to 1,000).
3. For a feed of new posts, switch on **Monitoring mode** and add a schedule (for example every hour). The first run returns the latest posts; later runs return only new ones, oldest first.

| Input field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `communities` | One community per line: URL, short name or `club…` / `public…` number |
| `maxPostsPerCommunity` | Latest posts per community (1-1,000, default 20); first monitoring run only |
| `monitoringMode` | Return only posts published since the last run |
| `resetMonitoringState` | Forget what monitoring remembers and start again |

```json
{
  "communities": ["https://vk.com/habr", "https://vk.com/tproger"],
  "maxPostsPerCommunity": 10,
  "monitoringMode": false
}
```

Call it from your code, Make, n8n or Zapier through the Apify API, and export results as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or RSS.

### Why this Actor

- **No VK account, no token, no cookies.** It reads what VK shows to any logged-out visitor of the community page.
- **Only new posts in monitoring mode**, remembered per community by post number, so a renamed community keeps its history.
- **You pay only for posts returned.** Unknown names, personal profiles, empty walls and runs with nothing new come back as explained rows that are not charged.
- **Honest numbers.** Likes and reposts are exact; views keep both VK's display and its numeric value; times are converted from Moscow time to UTC; values VK does not show are left empty, never guessed.
- **Privacy by design.** Personal VK profiles are never read, and no member names or IDs are added as columns.

### Pricing

Pay per event:

- `post-returned` - one post row.
- `community-checked` - monitoring mode only: a community that was checked and had nothing new.

The first monitoring run is a normal run (you pay for the posts it returns); there is no start fee. Set a maximum total charge on the run and the Actor stops before going over it, telling you in a row which communities were not read.

### Uncharged rows (status)

| status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `personal-page-not-supported` | The line is a personal profile (`id1`, a person's short name). Personal pages are not read. |
| `not-found` | VK shows no public community under this name to logged-out visitors (unknown name, or a page for logged-in users only). |
| `no-posts` | The community was read and its wall shows no post to logged-out visitors. |
| `no-new-posts` | Monitoring mode: nothing new in any community since the last run. |
| `invalid-input`, `duplicate-input` | The line could not be read as a VK community, or was given twice. |
| `blocked`, `unreadable`, `robots-disallowed`, `community-mismatch` | VK refused or answered with something else, or the path is disallowed by VK's robots.txt; nothing is guessed. |
| `page-limit`, `budget-reached`, `not-read` | The run stopped at its page limit or your maximum total charge; the row says what was not read. |

### Good to know

- The wall is read as VK's mobile site shows it to logged-out visitors: the community's own posts, newest first, 10 per page.
- Comment counts are shown by VK only to logged-in users, so they are not part of the rows.
- VK displays views rounded down (`7.9K` means 7,900 to 7,999). `viewsAtLeast` is that lower bound; `viewsCount` is filled only when VK shows the exact number.
- Posts from earlier years are dated by VK with the day only, so `publishedAt` is empty for them and `publishedDate` holds the day (`publishedAtPrecision: "day"`). Very fresh posts shown as "5 minutes ago" are `approximate`.
- A pinned post appears at the top of VK's wall even when it is old; the Actor orders posts by their VK post number, so a "latest N" run returns the N newest posts.
- Closed and private communities show nothing to logged-out visitors and come back as `no-posts` or `not-found`.
- Pages are fetched at most once every 1.5 seconds, and VK's robots.txt is read and followed on every run.
- Monitoring stores one small record per community in a named key-value store of your account. Avoid two schedules monitoring the same community at the same time.

### Legal

This Actor is unofficial and is not affiliated with or endorsed by VK. It reads only public information that VK shows to any logged-out visitor, does not log in and does not read personal profiles. You are responsible for how you use the data, including VK's terms and the data protection laws that apply to you.

# Actor input Schema

## `communities` (type: `array`):

One public VK community per line: a URL (https://vk.com/team), a short name (team) or a community number (club22822305, public22822305). Groups, public pages and events are read. Personal profiles (id1 or a person's short name) are not read and come back as an uncharged row. When empty, nothing is read.

## `maxPostsPerCommunity` (type: `integer`):

How many of the latest wall posts to return for each community (1-1000). In monitoring mode this applies to the first run only: later runs return every new post.

## `monitoringMode` (type: `boolean`):

The first run returns the latest posts and remembers the newest one per community. Later runs return only posts published after that, oldest first. A community with nothing new costs one community-checked event instead of rows.

## `resetMonitoringState` (type: `boolean`):

Clears the remembered newest post of every community before this run, so the run counts as a first run again. Leave off for normal monitoring.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "communities": [
    "https://vk.com/habr",
    "https://vk.com/tproger"
  ],
  "maxPostsPerCommunity": 10,
  "monitoringMode": false,
  "resetMonitoringState": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per public VK community wall post: post URL and ID, text, hashtags, publish date (Moscow time converted to UTC), likes, reposts, views, attachment types and URLs, photo URLs, outbound links and, in monitoring mode, whether it is a first check or a new post. Personal pages, unknown names, pages disallowed by robots.txt and runs with nothing new come back as their own rows and are not charged.
