## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Booking.com Hotels Scraper: Many Destinations, Prices & Reviews

![Booking.com Hotels Scraper: many destinations and dates per run, with pay-per-event pricing shown as a hotel guest folio](https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/sLF3M6U2onEQzj6hL/records/banner.png?signature=TnACxmouKpRxvtxEr7zS)

Search Booking.com for **many destinations and dates in one run** and get every
property as a dataset item: the price for your stay, taxes and fees, stars,
review score, address and coordinates, room, free cancellation and the
Booking.com link.

### Why this scraper

- **Many searches per run.** List searches (destination + dates + guests), or
  give a list of destinations for the same dates.
- **The price for your stay**, for your guests and dates, in your currency,
  with taxes and fees as a separate field.
- **Fast and light.** Plain HTTP, no browser: 600 properties from 3 cities in
  under a minute, at 256 MB.
- **Clean results.** Booking.com reshuffles its ranking while you page; the
  scraper drops repeats so every property appears once per search.
- **Pay only for results.** A search that finds nothing costs nothing.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Searches** | One search per entry (examples below). Dates and guests default to the run-wide values. |
| **Destinations** | Many destinations on the same check-in / check-out. |
| **Check-in / Check-out** | Default dates (stays up to 90 nights). |
| **Adults, Rooms, Children's ages** | Default guests for every search. |
| **Currency, Language** | e.g. `USD`, `EUR`; `en-us`, `de`, `fr`. |
| **Max properties per search / in total** | Caps your cost. Booking.com shows at most about 1,000 properties per search. |
| **Proxy** | Keep the default (Apify residential). |

A destination is anything you'd type in Booking.com's search box: a city,
region, district, landmark or hotel name.

#### Example: several trips

```json
{
  "searches": [
    {"destination": "Paris", "checkin": "2026-11-10", "checkout": "2026-11-12"},
    {"destination": "Barcelona", "checkin": "2026-12-04", "checkout": "2026-12-07", "adults": 3},
    {"destination": "Shibuya, Tokyo", "checkin": "2027-01-15", "checkout": "2027-01-20", "childrenAges": [6]}
  ],
  "currency": "EUR",
  "maxItemsPerSearch": 100
}
```

#### Example: compare cities on the same dates

```json
{
  "destinations": ["Lisbon", "Porto", "Madrid", "Seville"],
  "checkin": "2026-11-20",
  "checkout": "2026-11-22",
  "maxItemsPerSearch": 50
}
```

### Output

One item per property, in Booking.com's order:

```json
{
  "id": 58976,
  "name": "Virgina",
  "url": "https://www.booking.com/hotel/fr/virgina.html",
  "price": 177.39,
  "priceFormatted": "$177.39",
  "currency": "USD",
  "priceBeforeDiscount": null,
  "taxesAndFees": 42.69,
  "nights": 2,
  "stars": 3,
  "reviewScore": 8.6,
  "reviewText": "Excellent",
  "reviewCount": 2600,
  "address": "66 rue du Père Corentin",
  "city": "Paris",
  "countryCode": "fr",
  "latitude": 48.8240116830422,
  "longitude": 2.32749536622578,
  "district": "14th arr., Paris",
  "distanceFromCenter": "2.5 miles from downtown",
  "publicTransport": "Porte d'Orléans station is within 150 yards",
  "roomName": "Standard Double Room",
  "freeCancellation": true,
  "noPrepayment": true,
  "onlyLeft": "We have 6 left at this price",
  "soldOut": false,
  "photo": "https://cf.bstatic.com/xdata/images/hotel/square600/587081003.jpg?k=...",
  "query": "Paris",
  "destinationId": -1456928,
  "destinationType": "CITY",
  "checkin": "2026-11-10",
  "checkout": "2026-11-12",
  "adults": 2,
  "rooms": 1,
  "searchUrl": "https://www.booking.com/searchresults.html?ss=Paris&...",
  "searchIndex": 0
}
```

`price` is the total for the stay (all nights, all rooms) before
`taxesAndFees`. Turn on **Include raw result** for Booking.com's full result
object.

### Pricing

Pay per event, platform usage included:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Run start | $0.005 |
| Search that returned properties | $0.002 per search |
| Property | $1.50 per 1,000 |

Examples:

| Run | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1 destination, 100 properties | $0.16 |
| 10 destinations, 100 each (1,000 properties) | $1.53 |
| 10 destinations, 1,000 each (10,000 properties) | $15.03 |

A search with no results is not charged, and the run stops at your spending
limit without charging for anything it didn't deliver.

### Tips

- **Prices depend on where the visitor is.** Booking.com shows different
  prices to different countries. To see what travellers from one country see,
  set that country in the proxy settings (Apify Proxy → country).
- **More than ~1,000 properties in one city?** Split the search: districts or
  neighbourhoods as separate destinations (e.g. "Le Marais, Paris").
- **Monitoring rates?** Schedule the same input daily and compare `price` by
  `id`.

### FAQ

**Which Booking.com site is used?** www.booking.com, in the language and
currency you choose.

**How fresh are the prices?** They are what Booking.com shows at the time of
the run, for your dates and guests.

**Can I run it on a schedule or through the API?** Yes, like any Apify Actor:
schedules, the Apify API, webhooks and integrations (Make, Zapier, Google
Sheets and others).

**Is it legal?** The Actor collects publicly shown listings and prices; it
doesn't log in or collect personal data. You are responsible for using the
data in line with Booking.com's terms and the laws that apply to you.
