## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Hyatt Hotels Scraper: Cash Rates & World of Hyatt Points

![Hyatt Hotels Scraper: cash rates and World of Hyatt points for many destinations, with pay-per-event pricing written on a hotel key-card sleeve](https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/xRMkq7SsrFRGjnLTg/records/banner.png?signature=EGDoAimQvSsQbTBQjvaj)

Search hyatt.com for **many destinations and dates in one run** and get every
Hyatt hotel with its **cash rate and its World of Hyatt points price**, side by
side, plus the award category, rating, address, coordinates and amenities.

### Why this scraper

- **Points next to cash.** Every hotel comes with the lowest public rate
  (before and after tax) and the standard points price for your dates, and
  **cents per point** so you can see where an award is worth it.
- **Many searches per run.** List searches (destination + dates + guests), or
  give a list of destinations for the same dates.
- **Straight from hyatt.com**, in the hotel's own currency, with the award
  category (1–8) and Hyatt's own ratings.
- **Pay only for results.** A search that finds no hotels costs nothing.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Searches** | One search per entry (examples below). Dates and guests default to the run-wide values. |
| **Destinations** | Many destinations on the same check-in / check-out. |
| **Check-in / Check-out** | Default dates (stays up to 30 nights). |
| **Rooms, Adults, Kids** | Default guests for every search. |
| **Only hotels with a rate** | Skip sold-out hotels and hotels without a rate for your dates. |
| **Max hotels per search / in total** | Caps your cost. |
| **Proxy** | Keep the default (Apify residential, US). |

A destination is what you'd type on hyatt.com: a city, region, country,
airport or landmark.

#### Example: award planning for a trip

```json
{
  "searches": [
    {"destination": "Maui", "checkin": "2026-12-18", "checkout": "2026-12-23", "adults": 2},
    {"destination": "Tokyo, Japan", "checkin": "2027-03-28", "checkout": "2027-04-02", "adults": 2}
  ],
  "onlyAvailable": true
}
```

#### Example: compare cities on the same dates

```json
{
  "destinations": ["New York", "Chicago", "Miami", "San Francisco", "Paris", "London"],
  "checkin": "2026-11-20",
  "checkout": "2026-11-22"
}
```

### Output

One item per hotel, in Hyatt's recommended order:

```json
{
  "spiritCode": "nyczt",
  "name": "Hyatt Place New York City / Times Square",
  "brand": "Hyatt Place",
  "url": "https://www.hyatt.com/shop/rooms/nyczt?checkinDate=2026-11-10&checkoutDate=2026-11-12&rooms=1&adults=2&kids=0&rate=Standard",
  "checkinTime": "03:00 PM",
  "description": "Modern hotel steps from Broadway; near Fifth Avenue shopping and Hudson Yards",
  "amenities": [
    "Business Services",
    "Digital Check-In",
    "Digital Key",
    "Fitness Center",
    "Free Breakfast"
  ],
  "image": "https://assets.hyatt.com/content/dam/hyatt/hyattdam/images/2020/06/26/...",
  "searchIndex": 0
}
```

- `rate`, `rateAfterTax` and `points` are **per night**, as hyatt.com shows
  them. `centsPerPoint` is `rateAfterTax` ÷ `points`, in US cents (USD rates
  only).
- `status` is `BOOKABLE`, `SOLD_OUT` or `TIMEOUT`; hotels without a rate
  have no `rate` or `points`.
- `category` is the World of Hyatt award category.

### Pricing

Pay per event, platform usage included:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Run start | $0.03 (at the default 1 GB) |
| Search that returned hotels | $0.005 per search |
| Hotel | $2.00 per 1,000 |

Examples:

| Run | Cost |
|---|---|
| 4 destinations (~120 hotels) | about $0.29 |
| 10 destinations (~300 hotels) | about $0.68 |

A search with no hotels is not charged, and the run stops at your spending
limit without charging for anything it didn't deliver.

### Tips

- **Keep the default residential proxy.** hyatt.com is protected by Kasada;
  the scraper opens it in a real browser once and then searches quickly.
- **Later runs start faster.** The browser session is kept in your own
  key-value store for about 20 minutes, so runs close together skip the
  browser step.
- **Monitoring award prices?** Schedule the same input daily and compare
  `points` or `centsPerPoint` by `spiritCode`.

### FAQ

**Which rates are these?** Hyatt's lowest public (Standard) rate and its
standard award price for your dates, as hyatt.com shows them before you log
in. Member, AAA or package rates are not included.

**How fresh are the prices?** They are what hyatt.com shows at the time of the
run, for your dates and guests.

**Can I run it on a schedule or through the API?** Yes, like any Apify Actor:
schedules, the Apify API, webhooks and integrations (Make, Zapier, Google
Sheets and others).

**Is it legal?** The Actor collects publicly shown hotel listings and prices;
it doesn't log in or collect personal data. You are responsible for using the
data in line with Hyatt's terms and the laws that apply to you.
