## Pricing

from $0.80 / 1,000 homes

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Redfin Scraper: homes for sale, prices and price drops

Get **homes for sale in any Redfin city, neighborhood or county** without an account: **price, beds, baths, square feet, price per square foot, lot, year built, HOA, days on market, status, address, map point, photo and link**.

**Filter by property type, price, beds and baths**, and run it on a schedule to see **new listings and price drops** at no extra cost.

Built for **real estate investors**, **agents watching a farm area**, **property data teams** and **market research**.

### What you get

| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Homes | `propertyId`, `listingId`, `mlsId`, `status`, `price`, `beds`, `baths`, `fullBaths`, `partialBaths`, `sqft`, `pricePerSqft`, `lotSqft`, `yearBuilt`, `hoaMonthly`, `propertyType`, `daysOnMarket`, `address`, `unit`, `city`, `state`, `zip`, `community`, `latitude`, `longitude`, `labels`, `keyFacts`, `tags`, `isNewConstruction`, `hasVirtualTour`, `photoCount`, `photo`, `url`, `region`, `rank` |
| Tracking, on every row | `previousPrice`, `priceChange`, `priceChangePercent`, `priceStatus` (`first-seen`, `unchanged`, `dropped`, `raised`, `no-price`), `firstSeenAt` |

### What people use it for

- **Deal finding:** new listings and price cuts in your target areas
- **Agent farm areas:** every listing in your neighborhoods, every morning
- **Market research:** prices per square foot by area and type
- **Property data:** clean listing data for models and dashboards
- **Price drops:** homes whose price fell since your last run

### How to use it

1. Open a **city, neighborhood or county** on redfin.com and copy its link.
2. Set **filters** if you want them.
3. Click **Start**. Schedule it daily for new listings and price drops.

### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Redfin links | `https://www.redfin.com/city/30818/TX/Austin` | City, neighborhood or county |
| Homes per area | `350` | Redfin's limit per area |
| Property types | all | House, condo, townhouse... |
| Price, beds, baths | empty | Optional filters |
| Track new listings and price drops | on | Free |

### Output

Each result is one row in the run's dataset (download it as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or read it through the API). An example row (values shortened):

```json
{
  "propertyId": 100000001,
  "mlsId": "1000001",
  "status": "Active",
  "price": 450000,
  "beds": 3,
  "baths": 2.0,
  "sqft": 1650,
  "pricePerSqft": 273,
  "lotSqft": 6500,
  "yearBuilt": 2004,
  "hoaMonthly": 40,
  "propertyType": "House",
  "daysOnMarket": 2,
  "address": "123 Sample St",
  "city": "Austin",
  "state": "TX",
  "zip": "78701",
  "latitude": 30.27,
  "longitude": -97.74,
  "photo": "https://ssl.cdn-redfin.com/photo/0/bigphoto/001/1000001_0.jpg",
  "url": "https://www.redfin.com/TX/Austin/123-Sample-St-78701/home/100000001",
  "priceStatus": "first-seen"
}
```

A record named `SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store says what each input returned, with any notes (for example an account that does not exist), what was charged and how much traffic the run used.

### Pricing

- **$0.001 per home**, plus **$0.001 per run**
- Areas Redfin does not recognise are free

What typical jobs cost at the list price:

| Job | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1,000 homes | $1 |
| 10 neighborhoods checked daily for a month | about $20 at 60 homes each |
| One city (350 homes) | about $0.35 |

On Apify's Scale and Business plans the per-event prices are lower (Store discounts). Set **Maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached: you never pay more than that.

### Tips

- Redfin returns at most 350 homes for one area: for a big city, add its neighborhood links.
- Schedule a daily run and filter on `priceStatus` = `dropped` for price cuts.
- Use `trackingName` to keep separate histories for separate watch lists.

### Use it through the API

**Python**

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("Niches/redfin-scraper").call(run_input={"regionUrls": ["https://www.redfin.com/city/30818/TX/Austin"], "maxResults": 350})
for row in client.dataset(run.default_dataset_id).iterate_items():
    print(row)
```

**JavaScript**

```js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' });
const run = await client.actor('Niches/redfin-scraper').call({"regionUrls": ["https://www.redfin.com/city/30818/TX/Austin"], "maxResults": 350});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

**HTTP (one call, results back)**

```bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/Niches~redfin-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"regionUrls": ["https://www.redfin.com/city/30818/TX/Austin"], "maxResults": 350}'
```

### Integrations and schedules

- **Schedules:** run it every hour, day or week from the Apify Console (Schedules) and keep a history of results.
- **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable:** connect it through Apify's integrations, or send each finished run to a **webhook**.
- **Datasets:** results stay in the run's dataset; export them or read them by API whenever you need them.

### Use it with AI agents (MCP)

Add Apify's MCP server with this Actor already pinned (`https://mcp.apify.com?tools=Niches/redfin-scraper`) to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client. The agent can find this Actor and run it for you: ask it for "3-bedroom houses for sale in Austin under $500,000 with price per square foot". AI agents can also pay for runs directly through Apify's agentic payments.

### Limits

- Homes for sale only (active, coming soon, pending).
- Redfin returns at most 350 homes for one area; a link Redfin does not recognise is reported and not charged.
- Listing agents are never named.
- If an address is refused the Actor tries another and never solves a check. Pages it could not read are listed in SUMMARY and not charged.

### FAQ

**How do new-listing and price-drop alerts work?**

Each run compares every row with your last run and adds `priceStatus` (`first-seen` for new ones, `dropped`, `raised`, `unchanged`), `previousPrice`, `priceChange` and `firstSeenAt`. It keeps one small key-value store in your Apify account and costs nothing extra. Schedule the Actor and filter on `priceStatus` = `first-seen` for new listings only. Turn it off with `trackPrices: false`.

**Do I need a Redfin account?**

No. It reads what any visitor sees.

**How do I cover a whole big city?**

Add its neighborhood links; each returns up to 350 homes.

**What does it cost to run?**

Only the events above; there is no monthly fee.
