## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Polymarket Liquidity Rewards Scraper & Market Making API

Polymarket pays about **$190,000 a day** in liquidity rewards (maker rewards) to people who keep buy and sell orders near a market's price. Each market has its own daily pool, and on a typical day thousands of pools have **nobody competing for them**.

This Actor scans every Polymarket rewards market in about a minute and tells you:

- how much each pool pays per day
- whether anyone is competing for it right now, using **Polymarket's own competition score** plus a check of the live order book
- the reward band (max spread), minimum order size, midpoint, best bid and best ask
- a **ready-made two-sided maker quote** (Buy YES / Buy NO limit prices at minimum size) and what it costs
- an estimated daily reward for that quote if the book stays as it is

No Polymarket account, wallet or API key needed. The Actor only reads public data and never places orders.

### Who it's for

- **Market makers** looking for liquidity reward pools worth quoting
- **Market making bots** that want an hourly feed of uncontested pools with prices ready to post
- **Traders** who want to earn Polymarket LP rewards on positions they would hold anyway
- **Analysts** studying Polymarket liquidity, incentives and order book depth

### Why this scanner

- **Uncontested flag.** Most reward lists show the pot. This one tells you which pots have no maker in the band right now, the ones a single quote can take in full.
- **Ready quotes.** Each pool comes with Buy YES / Buy NO prices inside the reward band, sized to the minimum, with the total cost.
- **Reward per dollar.** Results are ranked by estimated daily reward divided by the capital the quote needs.
- **Junk filtered out.** Live in-game markets closing within hours, books with no agreed price and extreme prices are skipped by default.

### How Polymarket's liquidity rewards work (short version)

- Each eligible market has a daily pool, a **max spread** (the reward band around the midpoint) and a **minimum order size**.
- Every minute, each maker's resting orders inside the band get a score: `((max spread − distance) / max spread)² × size`. Being close to the midpoint matters most.
- The pool is split by score. If nobody else is in the band, your quote takes the whole pool for that time.
- One-sided quotes count a third. Below 10% or above 90%, only two-sided quotes count.
- Payouts arrive daily at about midnight UTC. Days under $1 aren't paid.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Leave the defaults, or tick **Only pools nobody is competing for**.
3. Click **Start**. Results appear in about a minute as a table you can export to JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML.

#### Run it on a schedule

Rewards are paid per minute, so fresh data matters. Use Apify **Schedules** to run the scanner every hour and send results to Google Sheets, Slack, a webhook, Make, Zapier or n8n through Apify **Integrations**.

#### Call it from your bot (API)

Get the latest pools in one HTTP call:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/nikaido_thc~polymarket-liquidity-rewards-scanner/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"onlyUncontested": true, "minDailyReward": 20, "maxResults": 20}'
```

Python:

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("nikaido_thc/polymarket-liquidity-rewards-scanner").call(
    run_input={"onlyUncontested": True, "minDailyReward": 20, "maxResults": 20}
)
for pool in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(pool["dailyRewardUsd"], pool["question"], pool["suggestedQuote"])
```

#### Use it with AI agents

The Actor has full input and output schemas, so AI agents using the Apify MCP server can call it directly, for example: "find Polymarket reward pools over $50 a day that nobody is quoting".

### Input

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum daily reward | 10 | Skip pools paying less than this per day |
| Only pools nobody is competing for | off | Keep only uncontested pools |
| Maximum book width (cents) | 20 | Skip books with no agreed price (quoting there is a guess) |
| Exclude prices below 10% / above 90% | on | Near 0 or 1 only two-sided quotes earn |
| Minimum hours until the market ends | 24 | Skip live in-game markets that close within hours |
| Include suggested quotes | on | Add Buy YES / Buy NO prices, cost and estimated reward |
| Quote distance from midpoint (cents) | 1 | Closer earns more reward but fills more often |
| Sort by | reward per dollar | Or daily reward, or least competition |
| Maximum results | 200 | You pay per result |

### Output example

```json
{
  "question": "Will the Bank of Brazil make no change to the target rate?",
  "url": "https://polymarket.com/event/...",
  "dailyRewardUsd": 127,
  "minSizeShares": 20,
  "maxSpreadCents": 4.5,
  "midpoint": 0.5,
  "bookWidthCents": 18,
  "polymarketCompetitiveness": 0,
  "bookCompetitionScore": 0,
  "uncontested": true,
  "hoursLeft": 816.2,
  "suggestedQuote": { "buyYesPrice": 0.49, "buyNoPrice": 0.48, "shares": 20, "costUsd": 19.4, "distanceCents": 1.5 },
  "estimatedDailyRewardUsd": 127,
  "scannedAt": "2026-11-04T23:50:00+00:00"
}
```

Buying NO at a price is the same book position as selling YES at 1 minus that price, so a two-sided quote is two buy orders.

### Pricing

**$0.005 per pool returned** ($5 per 1,000). A full 200-pool run costs about $1; a run filtered to the top 20 uncontested pools costs about $0.10. You can cap the maximum charge per run, and the Actor stops at that limit. Apify's free plan includes monthly credit, enough for several hundred pools.

### FAQ

**How is "uncontested" decided?**
A pool is uncontested when Polymarket's own competition score for the market is 0 and no resting order in the live book is inside the reward band at the minimum size.

**How often should I run it?**
Competition changes through the day. Hourly is a good default for a bot; once a day is enough to spot recurring empty pools.

**Does it trade for me?**
No. It is read-only and needs no keys. You place the orders yourself or through your own bot.

**Is the estimated reward guaranteed?**
No. It assumes the book stays as it is all day. Other makers can arrive and take a share.

**Can I get only one market or category?**
Not yet. Open an issue with what you need.

### Things to know

- **Snapshot, not a promise.** The estimated reward assumes the book stays exactly as it is all day. Other makers can arrive at any time and take a share.
- **Fills can lose money.** Rewards are paid for resting orders; if someone trades against one side and the price keeps moving, that side loses.
- **Wide books are skipped by default** because a quote at the "midpoint" of a book with no agreed price is a guess that better-informed traders can hit.
- **Availability.** Polymarket restricts trading from some countries. Check Polymarket's terms for where you live.

# Actor input Schema

## `minDailyReward` (type: `integer`):

Only return pools paying at least this much per day. Polymarket doesn't pay out days under $1, so small pools shared with others often pay nothing.

## `onlyUncontested` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only pools where Polymarket's competition score is 0 and no order in the book scores for rewards.

## `maxBookWidthCents` (type: `integer`):

Skip markets whose best bid and best ask are further apart than this. Very wide books have no agreed price, so quoting there is a guess. 0 = no limit.

## `excludeExtremePrices` (type: `boolean`):

Near 0 or 1 Polymarket only rewards two-sided quotes.

## `minHoursLeft` (type: `integer`):

Skip markets ending sooner than this. Live in-game markets can show very large daily pools but close within hours. 0 = include everything.

## `includeQuotes` (type: `boolean`):

Add minimum-size Buy YES / Buy NO limit prices around the midpoint, with cost and an estimated daily reward if the book stays as it is.

## `quoteDistanceCents` (type: `integer`):

How far from the midpoint the suggested quotes sit. Closer earns more reward but fills more often.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

How results are ordered. Reward per dollar ranks by estimated daily reward divided by the cost of the suggested quote.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

You are charged per result returned.
