## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Arbeitsagentur Jobs Scraper – Jobs, Ausbildung & Salaries

Scrape **Germany's official job board – the Bundesagentur für Arbeit Jobsuche (arbeitsagentur.de)** – with more than **1 million job ads, apprenticeships (Ausbildung), internships and self-employment offers**. This Arbeitsagentur scraper uses the official Jobsuche API (no browser, no login, no proxy), so it's fast, cheap and reliable: about **1,000 jobs with full descriptions in ~10 seconds**.

You get title, employer, occupation, full address with **GPS coordinates**, **salary range**, working time, contract type, **remote / home office flag**, start date, external apply URL, the **full job description** plus **contact emails, phone numbers and contact person** extracted from the ad. Export to JSON, CSV, Excel or straight into your CRM.

### How to use

1. Enter one or more **keywords** (e.g. `Softwareentwickler`, `Pflegefachkraft`, `Elektriker`) and **locations** (city, ZIP or federal state) – or paste Arbeitsagentur search / job URLs.
2. Pick filters: offer type (Arbeit, **Ausbildung**, Praktikum, Selbständigkeit), contract, working time, home office, published within N days, employer, exclude temp agencies.
3. Set **Max jobs** and click **Start**. Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or via API.

```json
{
  "keywords": ["Softwareentwickler", "DevOps"],
  "locations": ["Berlin", "München"],
  "radius": 25,
  "offerType": "arbeit",
  "contractType": ["unbefristet"],
  "workingTime": ["vollzeit"],
  "publishedSinceDays": 7,
  "excludeTempAgencies": true,
  "includeDetails": true,
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

**Apprenticeships (Ausbildung) example:** `{"offerType": "ausbildung", "locations": ["Köln"], "radius": 50, "maxItems": 1000}`

Each keyword × location pair is a separate search; results are de-duplicated by reference number. The API returns at most 10,000 jobs per search – split large searches by location or filters to go further.

A `RUN_SUMMARY` record in the key-value store lists matches per search, pages, details fetched and any problems.

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$0.60 per 1,000 jobs** ($0.0006 per job) – full description and contact extraction included, no extra detail fee. Example: 1,000 jobs = **$0.60**; 10,000 jobs = $6. The only other charge is the tiny Apify actor-start event. Because it's pure HTTP on the official API, runs are very fast and use minimal compute.

### Use cases

- **Recruiting & staffing agencies:** find companies hiring for your specialties and get the contact person, email and phone.
- **Lead generation / B2B sales:** companies with many open positions are growing – sell HR tech, recruiting, relocation or training services.
- **Labour-market research:** salary ranges, remote share, demand per occupation and region with GPS coordinates.
- **Apprenticeship (Ausbildung) portals and schools:** pull all Ausbildung and dual-study offers per city.
- **Job boards & aggregators:** daily feed of new jobs (`publishedSinceDays: 1`) with external apply URLs.
- **Competitive intelligence:** monitor a competitor's hiring with the employer filter.

### Integrations

Use the results via the Apify API, webhooks, or integrations with **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack** and more. Schedule the actor daily to get a fresh feed.

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_API_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("ninhothedev/arbeitsagentur-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={
    "keywords": ["Elektriker"], "locations": ["Leipzig"], "maxItems": 200,
})
for job in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(job["title"], job["employer"], job["city"], job["salary_min"])
```

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' });
const run = await client.actor('ninhothedev/arbeitsagentur-jobs-scraper').call({ offerType: 'ausbildung', locations: ['Hamburg'] });
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

### FAQ

**Is it legal to scrape the Arbeitsagentur?** The actor reads publicly available job ads via the public Jobsuche API of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit. Contact data inside ads is personal data in some cases – process it in line with GDPR (legitimate interest, no spam).

**Do I need a proxy or API key?** No. The official API works without proxy; a proxy option exists only as a fallback.

**Why are some salaries or contacts empty?** Employers aren't required to publish salary or contact data. Ads imported from partner boards often only link to the external page (`external_url`).

**How many jobs can I get?** Up to 10,000 per search (API limit) and unlimited searches per run. Combine several locations/keywords for full coverage.

**How fresh is the data?** Live – every run queries the Arbeitsagentur directly. Use `publishedSinceDays` for incremental daily runs.

**Something broke?** Open an issue on the actor's Issues tab – we usually fix within 24 h.
