## Pricing

from $1.40 / 1,000 dekudeals price histories

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## DekuDeals Scraper — Nintendo eShop Price History

Scrape **DekuDeals** Nintendo Switch / eShop **price history** from public `/items/{slug}` pages: current price, MSRP, discount %, all-time low, and compressed eShop history points.

This is **not** wishlist alerts, stock bots, or Amazon historical prices (DekuDeals hides Amazon history in the UI). Paths under `/games/` are skipped — they return Cloudflare 403.

> **Proxy:** Apify **RESIDENTIAL** (US or EU) recommended if bare IPs get blocked. Prefer `/items/` + `/search` only.

***

### What this Actor does

| Step | Action |
|------|--------|
| 1 | Accept `query` and/or `itemUrls` (`/items/…`) / `itemSlugs` |
| 2 | Resolve search hits to `/items/` slugs (never `/games/`) |
| 3 | Parse embedded `price_history_data` JSON + current eShop prices |
| 4 | Compress daily series to price **change-points** (cap via `maxHistoryPoints`) |

***

### Input

| Field | Required | Description |
|-------|----------|-------------|
| `query` | One of | Keyword (e.g. `zelda`) |
| `itemUrls` | One of | `https://www.dekudeals.com/items/{slug}` |
| `itemSlugs` | One of | Slugs like `celeste` |
| `maxItems` | No | 1–50 (default 20) |
| `maxHistoryPoints` | No | 1–500 compressed points (default 120) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | No | Default RESIDENTIAL + US |

#### Example

```json
{
  "query": "zelda",
  "maxItems": 5,
  "maxHistoryPoints": 80,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": ["RESIDENTIAL"],
    "apifyProxyCountry": "US"
  }
}
```

***

### Output example

```json
{
  "itemSlug": "celeste",
  "title": "Celeste",
  "detailUrl": "https://www.dekudeals.com/items/celeste",
  "currentPrice": 4.99,
  "msrp": 19.99,
  "discountPct": 75,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "store": "Nintendo eShop",
  "platforms": ["switch"],
  "allTimeLowDigital": 4.99,
  "allTimeLowPhysical": 19.99,
  "isAllTimeLow": true,
  "priceHistory": [
    { "date": "2018-05-31", "digitalPrice": 19.99, "physicalPrice": null, "currency": "EUR", "store": "Nintendo eShop" },
    { "date": "2026-10-05", "digitalPrice": 4.99, "physicalPrice": null, "currency": "EUR", "store": "Nintendo eShop" }
  ],
  "historyPointCount": 3050,
  "historySource": "dekudeals",
  "query": "celeste",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-05T20:00:00Z",
  "error": false
}
```

`historyPointCount` is the raw daily series length before compression. `priceHistory` keeps change-points only (plus sampling if still over the cap).

### Notes

- Public deal/price pages only — no login / wishlist harvesting.
- Respect `robots.txt`: avoid URLs with `filter[`.
- Icon is an abstract cyan/red geometric mark inspired by Joy-Con colors — **not** the official DekuDeals logo (trademark-safe).

# Actor input Schema

## `query` (type: `string`):

DekuDeals search keyword (e.g. zelda, celeste). Resolves to /items/ slugs.

## `itemUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional https://www.dekudeals.com/items/{slug} URLs. /games/ URLs are skipped (Cloudflare 403).

## `itemSlugs` (type: `array`):

Optional DekuDeals item slugs (e.g. celeste).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Cap per run (1–50). One dataset row per game/item with embedded price history.

## `maxHistoryPoints` (type: `integer`):

Max compressed price-history change-points kept per item (1–500). Full daily series is compressed to price changes.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Recommended: Apify RESIDENTIAL (US or EU). /items/ often works without proxy; enable if Cloudflare blocks.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "query": "zelda",
  "maxItems": 20,
  "maxHistoryPoints": 120,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": [
      "RESIDENTIAL"
    ],
    "apifyProxyCountry": "US"
  }
}
