## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Fuel Price Change Monitor (France, Spain)

This Actor reads the official open-data fuel price feeds of France (donnees.roulez-eco.fr) and Spain (the Ministry's sedeaplicaciones.minetur.gob.es API) and returns one record per station, filtered by postcode prefix. It is built for fleet and retailer teams who run it on a schedule and want only the stations whose prices changed since the last run.

### What you get

Each result has these fields: `country`, `station_id`, `postcode`, `address`, `city`, `lat`, `lon`, `diesel_eur_l`, `sp95_e5_eur_l`, `e10_eur_l`, `sp98_eur_l`, `previous` (the earlier prices, null on a first sighting) and `first_seen` (true when the station was not in your previous run). A price is null when the station does not sell that fuel.

Example result:

```json
{
  "country": "FR",
  "station_id": "75016001",
  "postcode": "75016",
  "address": "1 Avenue du Général Sarrail",
  "city": "PARIS",
  "lat": 48.847,
  "lon": 2.256,
  "diesel_eur_l": 2.42,
  "sp95_e5_eur_l": null,
  "e10_eur_l": 2.22,
  "sp98_eur_l": 2.32,
  "previous": null,
  "first_seen": true
}
```

### Input

- **Countries** (`country`): which national feeds to read, FR and/or ES (empty: all).
- **Postcode starts with** (`postcode`): keep stations whose postcode starts with this (28 is Madrid in Spain and Eure-et-Loir in France; 75 is Paris; empty keeps all).
- **Only changes** (`onlyChanges`): on, each run returns only the records whose prices changed since your last run (the first run returns them all); off, every matching record with its previous values.
- **Max results** (`maxItems`): stop after this many results.

### Why this one

The best-used fuel Actor in the Store today, [johnvc/fuelprices](https://apify.com/johnvc/fuelprices), resells GasBuddy's US prices. This one covers Europe from the governments' own feeds: 9,811 French and 11,380 Spanish station records read in a single run, with the change-only mode returning just the stations that moved. In measured runs, postcode 75 gave 45 French stations, postcode 28 gave 892 Spanish stations, and postcode 13 across both countries gave 491 stations, with address, city, coordinates and postcode filled in every item.

### Legal

It reads the published open data of donnees.roulez-eco.fr and sedeaplicaciones.minetur.gob.es only: no logins, no paywalls, public non-personal data about fuel stations and prices. The program reads each site's robots.txt before it fetches anything there and obeys it. Use the data as the sources' terms allow (the French feed is under the Licence Ouverte).

# Actor input Schema

## `country` (type: `array`):

Which national feeds to read (empty: all). One or more of: FR, ES (empty: all).

## `postcode` (type: `string`):

Keep stations whose postcode starts with this (28 is Madrid in Spain, Eure-et-Loir in France; 75 Paris; empty keeps all).

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

On: each run returns only the records whose watched values changed since your last run (your first run returns them all). Off: every matching record, each with its previous values.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many results (keeps a run's cost predictable).

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "country": [
    "FR",
    "ES"
  ],
  "postcode": "28",
  "onlyChanges": true,
  "maxItems": 5000
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Every result as JSON; add ?format=csv, xlsx or jsonl for another format.

## `overview` (type: `string`):

The results with the fields the listing promises, in its order.
