## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**Career Page Jobs API**: get **every open job of a list of companies** in one clean table, straight from their applicant tracking system (ATS): **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Teamtailor and Personio**.

Paste company domains (`huggingface.co`), careers page URLs (`https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`) or ATS ids (`ashby:ramp`). The Actor detects which ATS each company uses, reads that ATS's **official public job board API or feed**, and returns standardized jobs plus a free **hiring signal** per company: open roles by department, remote / hybrid / onsite split, roles posted in the last 30 days.

Export to **JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets**, call it from the **Apify API**, schedule it, or let an **AI agent** use it through MCP. No login, no browser, no CAPTCHA tricks: the prefilled input finishes in about 10 seconds.

### Supported ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby jobs API and more)

| ATS | Accepted input examples | Source used |
|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `stripe.com`, `https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `greenhouse:stripe` | Greenhouse job board API (JSON) |
| Lever | `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `lever:palantir` (US and EU) | Lever postings API (JSON) |
| Ashby | `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`, `ashby:ramp` | Ashby posting API (JSON) |
| Workable | `huggingface.co`, `https://apply.workable.com/huggingface`, `workable:huggingface` | Workable public widget API (JSON) |
| Recruitee | `https://bunq.recruitee.com`, `recruitee:bunq` | Recruitee offers API (JSON) |
| SmartRecruiters | `https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup`, `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup` | SmartRecruiters postings API (JSON) |
| Teamtailor | `https://<company>.teamtailor.com`, `teamtailor:<company>`, custom careers domains | Teamtailor jobs RSS feed |
| Personio | `https://<company>.jobs.personio.de`, `personio:<company>` | Personio XML feed |

**How detection works**: for a domain or URL, the Actor loads the careers page (`/careers`, `/jobs`, homepage…) and looks for links or embeds pointing to one of these ATS. If none is found and `guessFromDomain` is on, it tries the domain name as a board id on each ATS (e.g. `ramp.com` → `ashby:ramp`). Duplicate inputs are processed once.

### What data does the Career Page Jobs API return?

**Jobs** (default dataset, one row per open job):

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `company`, `ats`, `atsCompanyId` | Hugging Face, `workable`, `huggingface` |
| `jobId`, `title` | 81B46579FE, Open-Source Machine Learning Engineer |
| `department`, `team` | Open Source |
| `location`, `remote`, `workplaceType` | Paris, France, `true`, `remote` / `hybrid` / `onsite` |
| `employmentType` | `full-time`, `part-time`, `contract`, `internship`… |
| `postedAt` | ISO 8601 date |
| `url` | Original job page (apply link) |
| `description` | Optional plain text, truncated to your length |

**Hiring signals** (separate `hiring-signals` dataset, one free row per company): `openJobs`, `byDepartment`, `byWorkplaceType`, `postedLast30Days`, `newestPostedAt`, and a `status` that tells you what happened to each input (`ok`, `ats_not_found`, `board_not_found`, `invalid_input`, `error`).

### How to use the Career Page Jobs API

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Paste your **companies**, one per line: domains, careers page URLs or `ats:boardId` ids.
3. Click **Start**. Download jobs from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel. The hiring signals link is in the run's `OUTPUT` record.

Input example:

```json
{
  "companies": ["ashby:ramp", "https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/stripe", "huggingface.co"],
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 100,
  "includeDescription": false
}
```

#### Input fields

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `companies` | 3 examples (prefilled) | Domains, careers page URLs or `ats:boardId` ids, one per line. |
| `maxJobsPerCompany` | 5 (prefilled) | Jobs returned and billed per company (0 = no cap). The hiring signal still counts every open job. |
| `includeDescription` | `false` | Add the job description as plain text. |
| `descriptionMaxLength` | 1000 | Cut descriptions at this length (0 = full text). |
| `includeHiringSignal` | `true` | One free summary row per company in the `hiring-signals` dataset. |
| `guessFromDomain` | `true` | Try the domain name as a board id when no ATS link is found. |
| `maxConcurrency` | 5 | Companies processed in parallel (1 to 5). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | none | Optional Apify Proxy. Usually not needed: these are public APIs. |

### Output example

Job row:

```json
{
  "company": "Hugging Face",
  "ats": "workable",
  "atsCompanyId": "huggingface",
  "jobId": "81B46579FE",
  "title": "Open-Source Machine Learning Engineer - EMEA Remote",
  "department": "Open Source",
  "team": null,
  "location": "Paris, Île-de-France, France",
  "remote": true,
  "workplaceType": "remote",
  "employmentType": "full-time",
  "postedAt": "2026-05-29T00:00:00.000Z",
  "url": "https://apply.workable.com/j/81B46579FE",
  "input": "huggingface.co",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-12T20:46:43.547Z"
}
```

Hiring signal row:

```json
{
  "recordType": "hiring_signal",
  "company": "Hugging Face",
  "ats": "workable",
  "status": "ok",
  "detectionMethod": "careers-page",
  "openJobs": 6,
  "departments": 4,
  "byDepartment": [
    { "department": "Open Source", "openJobs": 2 },
    { "department": "Product", "openJobs": 2 },
    { "department": "Science", "openJobs": 1 },
    { "department": "Wild Card", "openJobs": 1 }
  ],
  "byWorkplaceType": { "remote": 6, "hybrid": 0, "onsite": 0, "unknown": 0 },
  "postedLast30Days": 2,
  "newestPostedAt": "2026-09-21T00:00:00.000Z",
  "input": "huggingface.co"
}
```

Real records from a run on 2026-10-12. The run's `OUTPUT` record links both datasets and gives totals (companies found, not found, jobs).

### How much does it cost to scrape company career pages?

**$1 per 1,000 jobs.** You pay only for job rows; **hiring signal rows and companies with no jobs are free**, and compute is included.

| You get | You pay |
|---|---|
| Prefilled input (3 companies × 5 jobs) | $0.015 |
| 100 companies × up to 20 jobs | up to $2 |
| 1,000 jobs | $1 |

Use `maxJobsPerCompany` to control spend. The Actor also stops cleanly when your maximum charge per run is reached.

### How to monitor companies' new jobs every day

**Schedule** the Actor daily on your company list and compare `jobId`s or `postedLast30Days` between runs. Send results to **Google Sheets, Slack, Clay, HubSpot, Zapier, Make, n8n** or a **webhook** with Apify integrations.

### Use the Career Page Jobs API with AI agents (MCP)

Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients can call this Actor through the official Apify MCP server. Add `NORESPI/ats-jobs-by-company` to your Apify MCP configuration, then ask things like "which of these 50 companies are hiring data engineers right now?".

### Use cases

- **Sales prospecting and intent data**: spot companies hiring in Engineering, Sales or Data right now, and how fast.
- **Competitive intelligence**: track which departments and locations competitors hire for.
- **Job boards and niche aggregators**: fresh jobs straight from the source, with the original apply URL.
- **Recruiting and market research**: remote vs onsite policies, contract types and team growth across companies.
- **Investors**: headcount growth signals across a portfolio.

### Limits (stated up front)

- Only the 8 ATS listed above. **Workday, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, BambooHR** and in-house careers sites are not supported yet: those companies return `ats_not_found`.
- Detection relies on the careers page linking to the ATS, or the board id matching the domain. If a company uses another id (e.g. `acme-inc`), pass it as `greenhouse:acme-inc`.
- SmartRecruiters ids are case-sensitive (`BoschGroup` works, `boschgroup` may not).
- Data is exactly what the company publishes: some boards leave department, location or date empty (`null`). For Greenhouse, `postedAt` is the first publication date when available, otherwise the last update.
- Salary is not extracted in this version.

### Privacy and compliance

Only **public job postings published by companies** through the ATS vendors' public job board APIs and feeds. Email addresses, phone numbers and personal profile links (LinkedIn, Calendly, X/Twitter, Telegram, WhatsApp…) are removed from titles and descriptions, and a job whose link points to a personal profile gets `url: null`. Descriptions are the company's own text and may still mention an employee's name. Keep the original `url` when you republish jobs, and check each company's terms for your use case.

### FAQ

#### Do I need an API key or an account on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby?

No. These job board endpoints are public and keyless.

#### Is there a free Greenhouse or Lever jobs API?

Yes, each ATS has a public job board API, but each has its own format and you must know every company's board id. This Actor finds the ATS for you and returns one schema for all 8, for $1 per 1,000 jobs.

#### Why did a company return `ats_not_found`?

It probably uses an unsupported ATS, or a board id different from its domain. Open its careers page, copy the job board URL and paste that instead.

#### How fresh is the data?

Live: each run reads the job boards at run time.

#### Is a browser used?

No. HTTP only, which keeps runs fast and cheap.

#### Is this Actor affiliated with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or the other ATS vendors?

No. It is an independent tool that reads their public job board endpoints.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One company per line. Accepted: a domain (stripe.com), a careers page URL (https://www.acme.com/careers), an ATS board URL (https://jobs.lever.co/acme) or an explicit ATS id written as ats:id — greenhouse:stripe, lever:palantir, ashby:ramp, recruitee:bunq, workable:huggingface, smartrecruiters:BoschGroup (case-sensitive), teamtailor:career, personio:acme.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs returned (and billed) per company. 0 = no limit. The hiring signal always counts every open job the ATS lists, even above this cap (SmartRecruiters: first 1,000 jobs, or more if you raise this cap).

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds a plain-text description to each job. Slower and heavier on very large boards; on SmartRecruiters it costs one extra request per job.

## `descriptionMaxLength` (type: `integer`):

Description is cut at this length (on a word boundary). 0 = full text.

## `includeHiringSignal` (type: `boolean`):

Adds one free summary row per company (recordType = hiring_signal): open jobs total, open jobs per department, remote/hybrid/on-site split, jobs posted in the last 30 days. Companies that could not be resolved also get a row with the reason.

## `guessFromDomain` (type: `boolean`):

When no ATS link is found on the website, try the domain name as the board id on every supported ATS and keep the board with the most jobs. Such rows are marked detectionMethod = domain-guess: check them if the name is common.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

1 to 5.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Public ATS APIs normally work without proxy.
