## Pricing

from $10.00 / 1,000 auction lots

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## 🏁 The Market Classic Car Auctions Scraper - Prices & Results

Extract every lot from **The Market** (themarket.co.uk, by Bonhams), the UK online classic car auction, with about **5,750 lots** since 2016: **sold results, live auctions, coming soon and sealed bids**. For each lot you get the **sold price, top bid, number of bids, next minimum bid, buy now price, currency, reserve status (no reserve, met, close, not close), year, make, model, tagline, plate, steering, location, country and auction start and end times**. Turn on **Lot details** for **chassis number, engine, gearbox, fuel, colours, mileage, estimates, buyer fees, seller type, specialist review, the full condition report (background, exterior, interior, mechanical, history, verdict), key facts, photo and watcher counts, video, main photos and the full bid history**. Search with **15 filters**, sort 7 ways, or paste lot, list, search and make links, and run it on a schedule to get **only new lots**.

### 🎯 Who uses it?

#### 📈 Classic car valuation and price guide teams

Build price histories by make, model and year from every result on The Market, with top bids, reserve status, estimates and bid counts.

#### 🚗 Dealers, traders and collectors

Watch live auctions and coming soon lots, see how bidding went on cars like yours, and find cars that sold after the auction.

#### 🏦 Insurers, lenders and appraisers

Back agreed values with real sale prices, chassis numbers, mileage and detailed condition reports.

#### 📊 Market analysts and journalists

Track demand by make and era: bids per lot, watchers, no reserve share and prices across GBP, EUR, USD and CHF sales.

### ✨ What it does

- **The whole site.** About 5,700 past results, plus every live, coming soon and sealed bids lot. Every lot comes once.
- **15 filters.** Status, search words, make, model, model year range, price range, currency, car location, steering, no reserve only, minimum bids and auction end date range.
- **7 sorts.** End date (latest or oldest first), price high or low, model year new or old, most bids.
- **Lot details (add-on).** Each lot page is read for chassis, engine, mileage, estimates, the full condition report, key facts, video, photos, watchers and every bid with its time.
- **Or paste links.** Lot pages, the site's lists (results, live, coming soon, sealed, no reserve), searches and make pages like /auctions/porsche. Filters are not used with links.
- **Monitoring:** run it on a schedule with **Only new lots**, and each run saves only the lots you haven't received yet.

### 🏆 Why this scraper

- **Clean, flat, typed data.** Prices, years, bids and mileage are numbers, dates are ISO (UTC), yes/no fields are true or false. 60 fields, one row per lot.
- **Fast.** The whole archive (about 5,750 lots) in about a minute, 1,000 lots with lot details in under a minute.
- **Bid history without bidders.** Every bid amount and time, never who placed it.
- **Nothing to set up.** No proxy, no login.

### ⚙️ How the input is organised

| Section | What it's for |
| --- | --- |
| **Maximum results** | Always first, caps the whole run. Empty means no limit. |
| **What to scrape** | Status, search words, sort by and lot details (chassis, engine, mileage, estimates, condition reports, bid history). |
| **Filters** | Makes, models, model year from, model year to, minimum price, maximum price, currencies, car located in, steering, only without reserve, minimum bids, auction end from and auction end to. |
| **Monitoring** | Only new lots and monitor name. |
| **Links** | Links instead of the fields above. Filters are ignored with links. |

### 💰 Pricing

Pay-per-event: a one-time **$0.003** when the run starts, plus a price per lot saved to your dataset. **Lot details** is an add-on, charged per lot only when you turn it on. The price depends on your Apify plan tier:

| Plan | Per lot | Lot details | Per 1,000 lots | With lot details |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0.014 | +$0.006 | $14 | $20 |
| Bronze | $0.012 | +$0.005 | $12 | $17 |
| Silver | $0.011 | +$0.004 | $11 | $15 |
| Gold | $0.010 | +$0.003 | $10 | $13 |

Lots left out by filters are free. New Apify accounts start with $5 in free credit. On the Free plan, a run saves up to 10 lots.

### 🚀 Run it

1. Create a free Apify account with $5 in credit.
2. Open The Market Classic Car Auctions Scraper.
3. Pick a status, search words or filters (or keep it empty for every lot), then click **Start**.
4. Export the results as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML from the Dataset tab.

### 🤖 Use with AI agents (MCP)

Connect the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com) to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, then ask in plain words, for example: *"Get every Jaguar E Type sold on The Market, with price, bids and mileage"*. The agent runs this Actor and reads the results.

### 🔧 Troubleshooting

- **The log shows more lots than were saved.** The count in the log is the site's. Every filter is checked by the Actor, so fewer lots are kept.
- **Prices are in different currencies.** Each lot is in its sale's currency (`currency`): GBP, EUR, USD or CHF. The price filter and price sort use the number as it is, without converting.
- **Price means sold price or top bid.** `price` is only for sold lots. The price filter and sort use it, else the top bid (`highestBid`) for live and not sold lots.
- **A sold lot has no price.** The seller asked to hide it: `priceHidden` is true, and the top bid and bid history are left empty too.
- **Some fields are empty.** Older lots (2016 to 2021) often have no estimates, summary, specialist or start time. Coming soon lots have no bids yet. Sealed bids lots have no bid count. Mileage without a unit on the site has no `mileageUnit`.
- **Only up to 7 photos.** `galleryImages` holds the lot's main photos. The full gallery (often 300+) is loaded by the site's app only, so `photoCount` gives its size.

### ❓ FAQ

**How many lots are there?** About 5,750 as of October 2026: about 5,720 sold or not sold results, plus live, coming soon and sealed bids lots.

**Can I pick several makes or search words?** Yes. Any lot matching one of the values is kept, and duplicates are removed. "Mercedes" also finds Mercedes-Benz.

**What does soldAfterAuction mean?** The bidding ended below the reserve, but the car was sold afterwards. `price` is that later price, `highestBid` the top bid in the auction.

**Do I need a proxy?** No.

### 🛡️ Limits & responsible use

This Actor collects auction lots that The Market publishes on its website and keeps a moderate pace. It does not collect bidder, buyer or seller personal data: bid history has amounts and times only, and the specialist is only named. Use the data in line with The Market's terms and the law where you work.
