## Pricing

from $1.60 / 1,000 apps

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store App Details — In-App Purchases, Privacy Labels & Versions

Give it App Store links or app IDs and get one clean row per app and country: **in-app purchases with their prices, the privacy label (data used to track you / linked to you / not linked), the version history with release notes, the rating with its 5-to-1-star shares**, price, size, languages, and the **developer's other apps** and Apple's **"You might also like"** apps for competitor discovery. **$2 per 1,000 apps**, no login, no API key.

Run it again — or put it on a daily schedule — and every row also tells you **what changed since the last run**: a **new version**, **in-app purchases added, removed or repriced**, and **privacy-label changes**. The App Store only shows you today's page; this keeps the memory.

### What you get

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `name`, `subtitle`, `appId`, `bundleId`, `url`, `country` | the app, as listed in that country's App Store |
| `developer`, `developerId` | who publishes it |
| `price`, `currency`, `priceText`, `isFree` | price in that country (`priceText` is the text on the page, e.g. `$5.99`) |
| `rating`, `ratingPrecise`, `ratingCount` | the rating as the store shows it (one decimal), the same to two decimals, and how many ratings — `null` rating when nobody has rated the app yet |
| `ratingHistogram` | share of ratings by star, in percent: `{"1": 2.6, "2": 1, "3": 1.8, "4": 5.5, "5": 89.2}` — `null` when there are no ratings |
| `ageRating`, `category`, `chartPosition`, `chartCategory` | age rating and category in that storefront; the top-chart position when Apple shows one |
| `size`, `sizeBytes`, `minimumOs`, `minimumOsPlatform`, `languages` | file size, the lowest system version and which system it is for (`iOS`, or `macOS` for Mac-only apps), and the languages the app supports |
| `latestVersion`, `latestVersionDate`, `releaseNotes` | the current version and its "What's New" text |
| `versionHistory` | `[{version, date, notes}]`, newest first (up to 25) |
| `hasInAppPurchases`, `inAppPurchases`, `iapListMayBeCut` | `[{name, price}]` as listed on the page, and whether the list may be cut at Apple's limit of 10 |
| `privacy` | `{status, usedToTrackYou[], linkedToYou[], notLinkedToYou[]}` — the data categories the developer declared to Apple; `status` is `collected`, `not-collected`, `not-provided` or `unknown` |
| `moreByDeveloper`, `youMightAlsoLike` | `[{appId, name}]` — the developer's other apps, and similar apps Apple suggests |
| `releasedAt` | first release date |
| `newVersionSinceLastRun`, `previousVersion`, `previousObservedAt` | whether the version changed, and from what, since your previous run (`null` on the first run) |
| `iapAdded`, `iapRemoved`, `iapPriceChanged` | purchase names added or removed, and `[{name, from, to}]` for price changes (`null` on the first run) |
| `privacyChanged`, `privacyChanges` | `true`/`false`, and a list such as `+linkedToYou: Location` (`null` on the first run) |
| `ratingCountChange` | ratings added since the previous run |
| `type`, `input`, `observedAt` | `app` or `error`, the text you gave for this app, and when it was read |

### Use it for

- **Competitor watch** — schedule it daily for a set of rival apps and get alerted to a new release, a new subscription tier or a price change
- **Pricing and monetisation research** — every in-app purchase with its price, in any country, side by side
- **Privacy and compliance review** — who declares tracking, and which data categories, and when that changes
- **Finding competitors** — `youMightAlsoLike` and `moreByDeveloper` give you the neighbours of any app, ready to feed back in as new inputs

### Input

```json
{ "apps": ["https://apps.apple.com/us/app/notion-notes-tasks-ai/id1232780281", "389801252"], "countries": ["us", "gb"], "maxVersions": 25 }
```

What changed is remembered per app and country in a named key-value store in your Apify account, so the second run of the same Actor already shows changes. Schedule it (Apify → Schedules) for a daily log.

### Pricing

**$2 per 1,000 apps** (one app in one country is one app), plus $0.01 per run. Error rows (apps that do not exist or are not available in a country) are free. The $0.01 run-start fee is the one charge every run pays, even one that returns nothing.

### Notes

- Public data only: what anyone sees on the app's page at apps.apple.com without signing in. Release notes have **email addresses and phone numbers removed**. No reviews or reviewer names are returned — see the reviews Actor below.
- The country in a pasted URL is ignored; set `countries` instead. An app that is not on sale in a country gives a free error row for that country. A country code Apple does not have (for example `uk` — the United Kingdom is `gb`) also gives free error rows: Apple would quietly show the US page for it, so nothing is returned rather than US data under the wrong country.
- Text is read in English: category names and privacy labels are English in every country. The app name, subtitle, purchase names and release notes are whatever the developer wrote for that storefront. `ageRating` follows the storefront's own system (4+ in the US, A12 in Brazil).
- The page lists **at most 10 in-app purchases** and the **latest 25 versions**. When `iapListMayBeCut` is `true`, a purchase can show up in `iapAdded` or `iapRemoved` simply because it moved in or out of the top 10. The same purchase name can appear more than once (monthly and yearly plans); `iapPriceChanged` compares all prices under a name together.
- `iapAdded`, `iapRemoved` and `iapPriceChanged` stay `null` when the page flags purchases but does not list them; `privacyChanged` stays `null` when Apple shows no privacy section. A value that could not be read is carried over from the previous run rather than reported as removed.
- `privacy` shows data categories only (for example `Location`, `Identifiers`), not the individual data types or purposes. `not-provided` means the developer never gave Apple privacy details, which is common for old apps.
- `price`, `currency`, `releasedAt`, `ratingPrecise` and the exact `sizeBytes` come from Apple's public iTunes Lookup. If that service is unavailable they are `null` (`priceText` still shows the price, `price` is still `0` for a free app, and `sizeBytes` is calculated from the displayed size).
- `chartPosition` and `chartCategory` are only filled when Apple shows the "Chart" badge, i.e. the app is in a top chart of its category in that country. `moreByDeveloper` is empty when the developer has no other apps, `youMightAlsoLike` is empty when Apple shows no "You might also like" strip (often the case for Apple's own apps), and `versionHistory` is left out when *Versions to return* is 0.
- Some of Apple's own apps (Apple TV, for example) have no "What's New" section: `latestVersion`, `latestVersionDate`, `releaseNotes` are `null` and `versionHistory` is empty, `size` can be `null` too (`sizeBytes` still comes from Lookup), and `hasInAppPurchases` can be `true` while `inAppPurchases` is empty because Apple flags purchases without listing them. Apps nobody has rated yet have `rating`, `ratingPrecise` and `ratingHistogram` as `null` and `ratingCount` as `0`.
- `minimumOs` is the number on the page ("Requires iOS 18.0 or later"); for Mac-only apps it is a macOS version, which is what `minimumOsPlatform` tells you.
- Apple's pages are large, so a run takes one to two seconds per app and country.

### For AI agents

`{"apps": ["1232780281"], "countries": ["us"], "maxVersions": 3}` returns one row with price, rating, in-app purchases, the privacy label and the 3 latest versions. Rows have `type`: `app` or `error`. Call it again with the same input to get `newVersionSinceLastRun`, `iapAdded`, `iapRemoved`, `iapPriceChanged` and `privacyChanged`.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

One app per line: an App Store URL (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/…/id123456789) or the numeric app ID. The country in a pasted URL is ignored — use Countries below. Developer pages are not apps.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter App Store country codes (us, gb, de, jp…). Each app is read once per country, and each app in each country is one billed result. Prices, purchases, ratings and the privacy label can differ by country.

## `maxVersions` (type: `integer`):

How many of the newest versions to return in the version history (version, date, release notes), newest first. The App Store page shows at most the latest 25. 0 leaves the history out.
