## Pricing

from $0.64 / 1,000 events

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Meetup Events Scraper — Events by City, Keyword or Group

Get **Meetup** events as clean JSON: **title, date, in person or online, venue, address, going count, capacity, fee**, and the **group's name, rating and member count**. Search any keyword in any city (San Francisco, London, Tokyo, Berlin …), or list every upcoming event of the groups you care about. Schedule it with *Only new events* and each run returns just what was added since the last one.

### What you get

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `title`, `url`, `startAt`, `endAt`, `status` | the event (`endAt` and `status` with *Add coordinates…*) |
| `eventType` | `in-person` or `online` |
| `venue`, `address`, `city`, `state`, `country`, `latitude`, `longitude` | where (coordinates with *Add coordinates…*) |
| `going`, `maxAttendees`, `rsvpOpen` | how many are going, the cap, and whether RSVP is open |
| `isFree`, `fee`, `currency` | price |
| `groupName`, `groupUrl`, `groupRating`, `groupRatingsCount`, `groupMembers` | the group that runs it (`groupMembers` only for events read from a group page — Meetup's search results don't carry it) |
| `description`, `imageUrl` | details |
| `source`, `isNewSinceLastRun` | which search or group it came from, and whether it is new since your last run |

Attendee lists, hosts and organizer names are **not** collected.

### Use it for

- **Event discovery** — every Python, AI or startup meetup in your city, in one sheet
- **Community research** — which groups are biggest and best rated, how often they meet, how many show up
- **Sponsorship and sales** — groups and venues in your market, refreshed weekly
- **Alerts** — schedule daily with *Only new events* and send new events to Slack or email

### Input

```json
{ "searches": ["python", "ai"], "locations": ["San Francisco, CA, US", "London, GB"] }
```

```json
{ "groups": ["https://www.meetup.com/rust-berlin/"], "onlyNew": true }
```

Meetup's search page shows about 12–30 events per term and city; use several terms to cover more. Measured on October 7, 2026: 2 terms × 3 cities returned 114 events in 5 seconds; with event pages opened, 12 events in 11 seconds. Data comes from Meetup's public pages — no login.

### Pricing

**$0.80 per 1,000 events**, or **$1.50 per 1,000 events** with *Add coordinates, end time and member count*, plus $0.01 per run. Error rows and events left out by your filters are free. The $0.01 run-start fee is the one charge every run pays, even one that returns nothing.

### For AI agents

`{"searches": ["data science"], "locations": ["New York, NY, US"]}` returns upcoming New York data-science meetups. Rows have `type`: `event` or `error`.

# Actor input Schema

## `searches` (type: `array`):

What you would type in Meetup's search. Each term is searched in each location (about 12–30 events per term and city — add more terms for more events).

## `locations` (type: `array`):

"City, country code" — e.g. "London, GB", "Tokyo, JP", "Berlin, DE"; in the US add the state: "Austin, TX, US". Required for searches unless Event type is Online.

## `groups` (type: `array`):

meetup.com/<group> links or group names. Returns every upcoming event of each group, with the group's member count.

## `eventType` (type: `string`):

Keep in-person events, online events, or both.

## `freeOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Skip events that charge a fee.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Opens each event page (one extra request per event).

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

From the second run on, return only events this Actor has not returned before for the same search or group.

}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `events` (type: `string`):
