## Pricing

from $0.80 / 1,000 jobs

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## SEEK Jobs Scraper

**Stop re-checking SEEK by hand: get only the new jobs for your searches every morning** — in a sheet, Slack or your own job board. Search SEEK (Australia and New Zealand) by keyword, location or a pasted search URL and get every matching job as clean JSON with the salary split into min / max / interval; schedule it and each run marks **which jobs are new since your last run**.

### How "new since last run" works

The Actor remembers which jobs each search returned last time. A job it has not seen before is marked `isNewSinceLastRun: true`. SEEK returns jobs newest first, so a daily run with **Max jobs** above a day's volume catches every new listing.
If the whole search fits within **Max jobs**, the comparison is exact and jobs that disappeared come back as `type: "closed"` rows. If the search is bigger than Max jobs, a job only counts as new when it was also posted after your previous run — so an old job that merely moved into view is never reported as new.

Filters (title, location text, salary, remote) never change the comparison, so changing a filter never makes jobs look new.

### What you get

| Field | |
|---|---|
| `title`, `company`, `location`, `locations` | as listed |
| `classification`, `subClassification` | the site's job category |
| `workType`, `workArrangement`, `remote` | full time / contract…, on-site / hybrid / remote |
| `salaryText` | the salary exactly as shown |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryInterval` | read from that text — `null` when it has no number (e.g. "Competitive"), never guessed |
| `description` | the full job text, HTML stripped (turn off with *Include the full description*) |
| `teaser`, `bulletPoints` | the summary the employer wrote for the search page |
| `postedAt`, `isFeatured` | listing date, and whether it is a paid featured ad |
| `isNewSinceLastRun` | `true` / `false`, or `null` on the first run (unknown, not "old") |
| `jobUrl` | link to the job on SEEK |
| `search`, `country` | which of your searches returned it |

### Input

Put one search per line in **Searches** (e.g. `data analyst`) and optionally a **Location** (e.g. `Sydney NSW`). Pick one or more **Countries**. SEEK shows at most the newest ~500 jobs of any one search, so split very broad searches by location or use **Posted within**. Or set the filters on the site and paste the result page into **Search URLs** (e.g. `https://www.seek.com.au/accountant-jobs/in-Sydney-NSW-2000?worktype=242`) — every filter the site has then applies. Many searches in one run are cheaper than one run each.

A search the site refuses comes back as an `error` row and the run carries on.

### Example output

One real row from a test run (long text shortened here with …).

### Get only the new jobs every morning (3 steps)

1. Open this Actor in Apify Console, fill in your searches, set **What to return** to **Only jobs that are new since the last run**, and click **Save as a new task**.
2. On the task, add a **Schedule** — for example daily at 07:00.
3. Open the task's **Integrations** tab and connect **Slack**, **email**, **Google Sheets** (or Zapier / Make / a webhook). Each morning you get only the new jobs.

You pay only for the new jobs plus $0.01 per run, so a quiet day costs about a cent. When you export by hand, pick the **Jobs** view: 13 tidy columns, title first, instead of every raw field.

### Pricing

**$1 per 1,000 jobs**, plus $0.01 per run. Closed-job rows and errors are free. With **Only jobs that are new since the last run**, a daily schedule only pays for the new ones.

### For AI agents

For a fast answer call with `{"searches": ["data analyst"], "countries": ["AU"], "maxJobsPerSearch": 20, "includeDescription": false}` — a few seconds. The defaults (up to 200 jobs with full descriptions) can take about a minute, which is longer than many agent tool timeouts. Each row has `type`: `job`, `closed` or `error`. `isNewSinceLastRun: null` means "no previous run to compare with".

# Actor input Schema

## `searches` (type: `array`):

One search per line, the same words you would type on SEEK — e.g. "data analyst". Many searches in one run cost one start fee.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Or paste search result URLs from SEEK — set any filters on the site first, then copy the address, e.g. https://www.seek.com.au/accountant-jobs/in-Sydney-NSW-2000?worktype=242. Each URL is its own search.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Each search runs once per country you pick. Salaries come in that country's currency.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Same as the "where" box on SEEK, e.g. "Sydney NSW". Leave empty for the whole country.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days. Leave empty for all.

## `workTypes` (type: `array`):

Same as the work type filter on SEEK.

## `workArrangements` (type: `array`):

Same as the remote / hybrid filter on SEEK.

## `salaryMin` (type: `integer`):

In local currency per year, as SEEK filters it.

## `salaryMax` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty for no upper limit.

## `output` (type: `string`):

Schedule this Actor daily and pick "Only new" to get a cheap new-jobs feed. The first run returns everything (there is nothing to compare with yet).

## `titleKeywords` (type: `string`):

Comma-separated. Keep jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. "senior, lead".

## `locationKeywords` (type: `string`):

Comma-separated. Filters the returned jobs by their location text.

## `withSalaryOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs whose salary could be read as a number.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the site marks as remote.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

The complete job text as plain text. One extra request per job returned (only the jobs you keep after filtering). Turn off for faster runs.

## `trackChanges` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers which jobs each search returned, so the next run can mark new ones (and closed ones, when the whole search fits in Max jobs).

## `maxJobsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Caps what you pay for: $1 per 1,000 jobs. Newest first on SEEK.
