## Pricing

from $1.60 / 1,000 apps

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify App Details — Pricing Plans, Ratings & Integrations

Give it Shopify App Store links or app handles and get one clean row per app: **every pricing plan with its price, billing period, free-trial days and feature list, the exact 5-to-1-star rating breakdown, launch date, categories, languages, the apps and tools it works with**, the developer, and whether it carries the Built for Shopify badge. **$2 per 1,000 apps**, no login, no API key.

Run it again — or put it on a daily schedule — and every row also tells you **what changed since the last run**: a plan **added, removed or repriced**, how many **new reviews** came in and how the **rating moved**. The store only shows you today's page; this keeps the memory, so you see a competitor's price change the day it happens.

### What you get

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `name`, `handle`, `url`, `iconUrl` | the app, as listed on apps.shopify.com |
| `developer`, `developerUrl` | the company behind it, and its page in the store |
| `tagline`, `description`, `keyFeatures` | the one-line pitch, the short description (**email addresses and phone numbers removed**) and the feature bullets from the listing |
| `categories`, `categorySlugs` | the store categories it is listed in, as names and as slugs you can feed to the [rank tracker](https://apify.com/northbell/shopify-app-store-rank-tracker) |
| `rating`, `reviewCount` | the rating as the store displays it (one decimal) and the number of reviews — `rating` is `null` and `reviewCount` is `0` for an app nobody has reviewed yet |
| `ratingHistogram` | the exact number of ratings per star: `{"1": 155, "2": 36, "3": 72, "4": 795, "5": 47044}` — `null` when there are no reviews |
| `ratingMean` | the plain average of those star counts, to two decimals — see Notes: the store's own figure is not always the simple average |
| `pricingText` | the store's one-line pricing summary, e.g. `Free plan available. Free trial available.` or `From $9.90/month. Free trial available.` |
| `pricingPlans` | `[{name, price, priceAmount, billing, trialDays, note, usageCharges, features[]}]` — one entry per plan card. `price` is the store's text (`$15/month`, `Free`, `Free to install`), `priceAmount` the number (`15`), `billing` is `monthly`, `yearly`, `one-time`, `every-30-days`, `free` or `other`, `note` the plan's extra-charges text (e.g. "Up to 500 monthly orders"), `usageCharges` the pay-per-use rates of usage-priced plans (`null` for flat plans) |
| `pricingCurrency` | `USD` — the store bills all charges in USD (`null` when the page shows no plan cards) |
| `freePlanAvailable`, `freeTrialAvailable`, `freeTrialDays` | whether the app has a plan that costs nothing to install, whether it offers a free trial, and the longest trial in days |
| `launchedAt` | the date the app launched in the store (`2015-06-25`) |
| `languages`, `worksWith` | the languages the app supports, and the apps and Shopify surfaces it works with (Checkout, Shopify Flow, Klaviyo…) |
| `builtForShopify` | `true` for apps with the Built for Shopify badge |
| `previousObservedAt` | when your previous run of this app was (`null` on the first run) |
| `pricingChanged`, `plansAdded`, `plansRemoved`, `planPriceChanged` | `true`/`false`, the plan names added or removed, and `[{name, from, to}]` for price changes (`null` on the first run) |
| `reviewCountChange`, `ratingChange`, `ratingMeanChange` | reviews added since the previous run, the change in the displayed rating, and in the star-count average (`null` on the first run) |
| `type`, `input`, `observedAt` | `app` or `error`, the text you gave for this app, and when it was read (error rows add `handle` and a plain-English `message`) |

### Use it for

- **Competitor pricing watch** — schedule it daily for the apps you compete with and get alerted to a new plan, a price change or a longer free trial
- **Market research** — compare how apps in a category price (free tier, entry price, trial length), when they launched and how many reviews they have earned
- **Choosing or vetting an app** — what each plan includes, what it works with, which languages it supports, who is behind it
- **Lead and partner lists** — developer, categories and integrations for a set of apps, ready for a sheet or a CRM

### Input

```json
{ "apps": ["judgeme", "https://apps.shopify.com/klaviyo-email-marketing", "loox"] }
```

What changed is remembered per app in a named key-value store in your Apify account, so the second run of the same Actor already shows changes. Schedule it (Apify → Schedules) for a daily log. Put all your apps in one run: the $0.01 start fee is charged once per run.

### Pricing

**$2 per 1,000 apps**, plus $0.01 per run. Error rows (apps that do not exist, were removed from the store, or inputs that are not apps) are free. The $0.01 run-start fee is the one charge every run pays, even one that returns nothing.

### Notes

- Public data only: what anyone sees on an app's page at apps.shopify.com without signing in, in English. **No reviewer or shop names, no developer address and no contact details are returned**; email addresses and phone numbers are removed from the description, tagline and feature texts.
- The first run has nothing to compare with, so `previousObservedAt`, `pricingChanged`, `plansAdded`, `plansRemoved`, `planPriceChanged`, `reviewCountChange`, `ratingChange` and `ratingMeanChange` are `null`. From the second run on they are filled in (`pricingChanged: false` and a change of `0` mean nothing moved). A plan counts as repriced when its price text changes — or, for usage-priced plans, when its usage rates change; changes to a plan's feature list or trial length do not set `pricingChanged`.
- `rating` is the figure the store displays. `ratingMean` is the plain average of the star counts, so the two can differ: the store's displayed rating is not always the simple mean (a live example: an app showing 4.2 whose star counts average 3.69). Use `ratingHistogram` for the exact distribution. For an app with no reviews, `rating`, `ratingMean` and `ratingHistogram` are `null`. If an app's star counts ever fail to add up to its review count, the breakdown and `ratingMean` are left `null` for that row instead of showing wrong numbers.
- `pricingPlans` is an empty list for an app that shows no plan cards (the store's summary is just "Free" — Shopify Flow is an example) and `null` when the page says there are plans but they could not be read; in that case the previous run's plans are kept for the next comparison, so a read problem is never reported as "plans removed". Usage-priced plans (the store shows an estimator, "Plus usage charges") show their base price in `price` — for example `$15/month` — and the pay-per-use rates in `usageCharges`: `[{"meter": "thousand emails sent", "billingScheme": "graduated", "tiers": [{"upTo": 15, "pricePerUnit": 0, "flatAmount": 0}, {"upTo": null, "pricePerUnit": 0.15, "flatAmount": 0}]}]` (the first 15 units cost $0, every unit after that $0.15; `billingScheme` is `graduated` or `volume`). Plans can carry other charges that are not in the plan price — read `note` and `pricingText`, for example "Free to install. Additional charges may apply." or usage fees billed by the developer outside Shopify.
- `freePlanAvailable` is `true` when the page lists a plan that costs nothing to install (`Free` or `Free to install`) or says "Free plan available"; usage charges can still apply. `trialDays` on a plan is the trial the store itself shows on the card (for example "15-day free trial") and `null` for plans without one — a trial that is only mentioned in a plan's feature bullets or in the developer's own extra-charges text is not counted (read it in `note` or `features`), and `freeTrialDays` is the longest trial among the plans (`null` when no plan states a number of days, even if `freeTrialAvailable` is `true`).
- `tagline` is taken from the page title, where Shopify itself shortens long ones with "…". `description` is the short description exactly as the store gives it (Shopify itself ends some of them with "…"); it falls back to the first paragraph of the listing for the few apps whose short description is empty.
- `worksWith` is an empty list for apps that name no integrations. `categorySlugs` are the slugs of the store's category pages, so you can paste them straight into the rank tracker.
- A handle that does not exist, or an app that was removed from the store, gives a free error row. An app that was renamed (for example `shopify-email`, now `shopify-messaging`) is returned under its current `handle`; if you list both names you get one row.
- Developer pages, category pages and search URLs are not apps and give a free error row too.
- A run takes about two seconds per app: the store's pages are large, and the Actor reads them one at a time to stay well under the store's rate limit.

### For AI agents

`{"apps": ["judgeme"]}` returns one row with the app's pricing plans (including usage rates), exact star breakdown, launch date, categories, languages and integrations. Rows have `type`: `app` or `error`. Call it again with the same input to get `pricingChanged`, `planPriceChanged`, `reviewCountChange` and `ratingChange`.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):
