## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Product Reviews Scraper — Judge.me, Okendo, Yotpo

Get the **product reviews of any Shopify store that uses Judge.me, Okendo or Yotpo** — three of the most used review apps on Shopify — one clean row per review: **star rating, title, text, date, verified buyer, helpful votes, photos and the shop's reply**, with the product's name, link, average rating and review count. **$1 per 1,000 reviews**, no login, no API key.

Give it a store and it reads the store's reviews — on Okendo the whole store newest first, on Judge.me and Yotpo product by product; give it product pages and it reads just those. Filter by stars and date — `maxRating: 2` gives you the complaints — and switch to **Only new** to get just the reviews written since your last run.

It reads the same review data the store's own product pages load, so it does not depend on the theme.

**Try it now — the input is already filled in.** Press **Start**: 5 products of one Shopify store (`www.brooklynbicycleco.com`), up to 20 reviews each — **41 reviews in about 11 seconds, for $0.05** (measured on 28 Oct 2026). Three of the rows:

| `productTitle` | `productRating` | `rating` | `title` | `reviewApp` |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Warehouse Deal: Brighton 7 Speed Cruiser | 4.95 | 5 | My dream bicycle | Judge.me |
| Warehouse Deal: Brighton 7 Speed Cruiser | 4.95 | 5 | The bike is one of a kind! Thecustomer service | Judge.me |
| Warehouse Deal: Brighton 7 Speed Cruiser | 4.95 | 5 | Sea Glass Brighton Cruiser | Judge.me |

Each row also has the review text, date, verified-buyer flag and the product link.

### What you get

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `rating`, `title`, `text`, `createdAt` | the stars (1–5), the review's title and text, and when it was written |
| `verifiedBuyer`, `helpfulVotes`, `unhelpfulVotes` | whether the review app marks the reviewer as a verified buyer, and the votes other shoppers gave it |
| `imageUrls`, `hasVideo` | the photos attached to the review, and whether it has a video |
| `shopReply` | the store's public reply, when there is one |
| `variant`, `country`, `language` | the product option reviewed (`Blue / M`), the reviewer's country code (Judge.me) and the language, when the app gives them |
| `productTitle`, `productHandle`, `productId`, `productUrl` | the product reviewed |
| `productRating`, `productReviewCount` | the product's average rating and number of reviews in the review app |
| `store`, `reviewApp`, `reviewId` | the store, `Judge.me`, `Okendo` or `Yotpo`, and the review's ID |
| `isNewSinceLastRun` | `true` when an earlier run for the same store had not returned it (`null` on the first run) |

Stores that cannot be read get one free `error` row that says why: the store uses another review app (it names the app — Loox, Stamped, Junip…), its robots.txt does not allow it, or it is behind a bot check.

### Run it again and again

- **On a schedule** — save your input as a task and add a **Schedule**: every morning, *Only new* gives you yesterday's reviews. Send each run to Google Sheets, Slack or email with an integration on the task.
- **Watch for complaints** — `maxRating: 2` with *Only new*: every new one- or two-star review on your store or a competitor's.
- **In bulk** — Many stores in one run; each store's reviews are remembered separately.

### Use it for

- **Competitor research** — what buyers love and hate about a competitor's best sellers, in their own words
- **Product research** — which products in a niche have the most and best reviews before you stock or build one
- **Your own store** — every review in one sheet, new complaints the morning after, and reviews for analysis or AI summaries
- **Agencies** — review monitoring for many client stores in one run

### Input

```json
{
  "stores": ["www.brooklynbicycleco.com", "https://www.mvmt.com/products/odyssey-ii-ceramic-fusion-grey-40mm-28000461"],
  "maxProductsPerStore": 30,
  "maxReviewsPerProduct": 100,
  "maxRating": 2,
  "reviewedWithinDays": 90,
  "output": "new"
}
```

- **stores** — store addresses or product pages, one per line. On Judge.me and Yotpo a store address reads its products in the store's own order, up to **maxProductsPerStore**; on Okendo it reads the whole store's reviews newest first, up to **maxReviewsPerStore**.
- **maxReviewsPerProduct**, **maxReviewsPerStore** — limits, newest reviews first.
- **minRating**, **maxRating**, **reviewedWithinDays** — filters.
- **output** — `all` or `new` (see above). The reviews already returned are remembered per store in a named key-value store in your Apify account.

### Pricing

**$1 per 1,000 reviews**, plus $0.01 per run. Error rows are free, and so are reviews left out by *Only new*. 30 products with 20 reviews each is about $0.61.

### Notes

- On 23 Oct 2026, four stores — one on Judge.me, two loading Yotpo, one on neither — gave 137 reviews from 15 products in 22 seconds. Every review had a rating, text and date; 79 of 137 had a country and 16 had photos. One of the Yotpo stores loads Yotpo for loyalty points only and keeps its reviews in Junip, so it got an error row instead.
- **Reviewer names are not returned**, nor their initials, profile pictures, cities or the personal details some stores ask for (age, height…), nor the name or picture of the staff member who replied. Email addresses in the review text are replaced with `[email removed]`. What a reviewer wrote in the text itself is returned as written.
- Each store's robots.txt is read first (including the rules addressed to Claude crawlers) and its Crawl-delay is kept. The Actor waits half a second between requests to each site. If a store or review app refuses the request or shows a bot check, that store gets a free error row; the Actor does not try to get around it.
- On 23 Oct 2026 two Okendo stores (SKIMS and True Classic) gave 150 reviews each, newest first, in the same 22-second run. Okendo gives no country and no product average; it does say which size or colour was reviewed.
- Stores on other review apps (Loox, Stamped, Junip, Reviews.io…) are not read; the error row says which app the store uses. Loox's own robots.txt does not allow its review widget to be read, so Loox stores will not be added. Tell me on the Issues tab which other app you need.

For the products and prices of the same stores, see [Shopify Store Products & Price Tracker](https://apify.com/northbell/shopify-store-products-tracker). For reviews of Shopify apps, see [Shopify App Store Reviews](https://apify.com/northbell/shopify-app-reviews-scraper).

### For AI agents

`{"stores": ["www.brooklynbicycleco.com"], "maxProductsPerStore": 2, "maxReviewsPerProduct": 10}` returns up to 20 rows with `type: "review"`. Rows have `type`: `review` or `error`. Fields the review app does not fill are `null` (or an empty list), never missing. Run the same input later with `"output": "new"` to get only new reviews.

# Actor input Schema

## `stores` (type: `array`):

Shopify stores, one per line: "www.brooklynbicycleco.com" reads the store's reviews (Okendo: the whole store, newest first; Judge.me and Yotpo: the store's products in its own order); a product page like "https://www.mvmt.com/products/odyssey-ii-ceramic-fusion-grey-40mm-28000461" reads just that product. The store must use Judge.me, Okendo or Yotpo for its reviews; other stores get a free error row saying which review app they use.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

How many products to read reviews for, in the order of the store's product list (Judge.me and Yotpo stores). Okendo stores are read newest review first across all products, up to Reviews per store. Ignored for product pages.

## `maxReviewsPerProduct` (type: `integer`):

The most reviews to return for one product, newest first.

## `maxReviewsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stop a store after this many reviews.

## `minRating` (type: `integer`):

Only reviews with at least this many stars.

## `maxRating` (type: `integer`):

Only reviews with at most this many stars. Set it to 2 to get the complaints.

## `reviewedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only reviews written in the last N days. 0 means any date.

## `output` (type: `string`):

With "Only new", reviews returned by an earlier run for the same store are left out and not charged. The first run returns everything, because there is nothing to compare with yet.
