## Pricing

from $1.20 / 1,000 games

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Steam Scraper — Game Details, Prices & Reviews

Get **Steam** games as clean JSON — **price and discount, developer, publisher, release date, genres, platforms, Metacritic score**, and the **review score with positive and negative counts** — and optionally their **newest reviews** with the text, recommendation, playtime and helpful votes. Paste store URLs or search by name. Schedule it with *Only new reviews* for a daily feed of what players are saying.

### What you get

| Row | Fields |
|---|---|
| `game` | `appId`, `name`, `url`, `isFree`, `price`, `originalPrice`, `discountPercent`, `currency`, `developers`, `publishers`, `releaseDate`, `comingSoon`, `genres`, `categories`, `platforms`, `metacriticScore`, `recommendations`, `reviewScore`, `totalReviews`, `positiveReviews`, `negativeReviews`, `positivePercent`, `shortDescription`, `website`, `headerImage`, `dlcCount` |
| `review` | `gameName`, `recommended`, `review`, `language`, `createdAt`, `updatedAt`, `votesHelpful`, `votesFunny`, `weightedScore`, `comments`, `boughtOnSteam`, `receivedForFree`, `earlyAccess`, `steamDeck`, `playtimeAtReviewHours`, `playtimeTotalHours`, `isNewSinceLastRun` |

Reviewer Steam IDs, names, profiles and avatars are **not** collected.

### Use it for

- **Game market research** — prices, discounts, genres and review scores for a list of games or a search
- **Player feedback** — the newest negative reviews after a patch, with playtime to tell veterans from newcomers
- **Price and sale tracking** — schedule it during sales and record discounts per country
- **AI analysis** — review text in any language for sentiment and topic tagging

### Input

```json
{ "games": ["https://store.steampowered.com/app/620/Portal_2/"], "searches": ["hollow knight"], "includeReviews": true, "maxReviewsPerGame": 200, "reviewLanguage": "english" }
```

Measured on October 7, 2026: 4 games and 600 English reviews in 20 seconds. Data comes from the Steam store's public endpoints — no login, no API key.

### Pricing

**$1.50 per 1,000 games**, **$0.20 per 1,000 reviews**, plus $0.01 per run. Error rows are free. The $0.01 run-start fee is the one charge every run pays, even one that returns nothing.

### For AI agents

`{"searches": ["stardew valley"], "maxResultsPerSearch": 1}` returns the game with price and review score. Rows have `type`: `game`, `review` or `error`.
