## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Apple App Store Reviews: multi-country, incremental

Pull customer reviews for any iOS app from Apple's public customer-reviews feed, across one or many storefronts in a single run.

**Good for:** tracking your own app's feedback by country, watching competitors' 1–2 star reviews, feeding reviews to your own analysis.

### What you get (one row per review)

`appId, appName, country, reviewId, author, rating, title, text, version, voteCount, voteSum, date, url`

### Features

- **Many countries in one run**: pass `["us","gb","de"]` or `"all"` to sweep every storefront.
- **Filters**: star range, reviews since a date, keyword match.
- **Incremental mode** (`onlyNewSinceLastRun`): with a schedule, each run returns only reviews newer than the last run, per country.
- **Cost cap**: `maxTotalReviews`. You are charged per review returned, nothing for empty results.

### Example input

```json
{ "apps": ["389801252"], "countries": ["us", "gb"], "maxReviewsPerCountry": 100, "maxRating": 2 }
```

### Limits (honest)

- Apple's public feed exposes at most the latest ~500 reviews per app per country (10 pages × 50). Older reviews and developer replies are not available from it.
- Only reviews with text that Apple publishes in the feed; no private/App Store Connect data.
- Uses Apple's public endpoints at a modest rate. If an app is missing in a storefront it returns nothing for it.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

App Store app IDs or URLs, e.g. 389801252 or https://apps.apple.com/us/app/instagram/id389801252.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter storefront codes such as us, gb, de. Use the single value "all" to sweep every storefront.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Order in which Apple returns reviews: newest first or most helpful first.

## `maxReviewsPerCountry` (type: `integer`):

Apple's public feed exposes at most 500 per app per country.

## `maxTotalReviews` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on total reviews returned across all apps and countries (controls cost).

## `minRating` (type: `integer`):

Only return reviews with at least this star rating (1-5).

## `maxRating` (type: `integer`):

Only return reviews with at most this star rating (1-5).

## `sinceDate` (type: `string`):

e.g. 2026-09-01

## `keywords` (type: `array`):
