# Career Site Jobs Scraper — Greenhouse, Lever, Workday & 8 More (`ocrad/career-site-jobs-scraper`) Actor

Paste any company careers URL. The Actor detects the ATS behind it (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Teamtailor, BambooHR, Personio, JazzHR, Workday) and returns every open job in one unified format: title, location, department, type, description, apply URL.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Career Site Jobs Scraper

***

Scrape **all job postings from any company careers site** without knowing which applicant tracking system (ATS) is behind it. Paste one or more careers URLs — the Actor detects the ATS (**Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Teamtailor, BambooHR, Personio, JazzHR or Workday**), calls that ATS's public job feed or API, and returns every open role in **one unified format**: title, company, location, department, employment type, workplace type (remote / hybrid / onsite), posting date, plain-text description and apply URL.

Both the ATS-hosted board URL (`https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://acme.bamboohr.com/careers`…) and the company's **own careers domain** (`https://careers.voi.com`, `https://www.bunq.com/careers`…) work: custom domains are fetched once and the ATS is recognised from the page's links, embeds and API references. URLs that no supported ATS powers are reported in the log and skipped; the other URLs still run.

#### **📋 Example Output**

```json
{
  "id": "8590034",
  "url": "https://careers.voi.com/jobs/8590034-warehouse-operations-manager-berlin-m-f-d",
  "title": "Warehouse Operations Manager - Berlin (m/f/d)",
  "company": "Voi Technology",
  "location": "Berlin, Germany",
  "department": "Fleet Operations",
  "employmentType": null,
  "workplaceType": "onsite",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-22T10:57:05.000Z",
  "descriptionText": "Your mission at Voi The Warehouse Operations Manager (Site Manager) is responsible for ensuring our operations run as smoothly, safely and efficiently as possible by leading our fleet operations team. As we continue to be present …",
  "applyUrl": "https://careers.voi.com/jobs/8590034-warehouse-operations-manager-berlin-m-f-d/applications/new",
  "ats": "teamtailor",
  "sourceUrl": "https://careers.voi.com",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-23T20:11:15.342Z",
  "extra": {
    "role": "Site Manager",
    "remoteStatus": "onsite",
    "locations": null,
    "city": "Berlin",
    "region": "Germany",
    "country": "Germany",
    "countryCode": "DE"
  }
}
```

Every record has the same 14 top-level fields regardless of the ATS. `workplaceType` is `remote`, `hybrid` or `onsite` when the ATS states it (or the location/title says so) and `null` otherwise. `extra` holds the ATS-specific fields that have no unified equivalent (compensation on Ashby, offices on Greenhouse, seniority and salary on Personio, requisition IDs on Workday, …).

#### ⚙️ **Configuration**

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `startUrls` | Array | *(required)* | One or more careers URLs — ATS board URLs or the company's own careers domain. Each URL is processed independently. |
| `maxItemsPerSite` | Integer | `0` | Max jobs to return per URL (0 = all available). |
| `detailedInfo` | Boolean | `false` | Open each job's detail record. Needed for the description on **SmartRecruiters, BambooHR, JazzHR and Workday** (their listings do not include it) and for the employment type on **Teamtailor**. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Recruitee and Personio already return full descriptions without it. One extra request per job. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | Apify Proxy (auto) | Proxy settings. Switch to RESIDENTIAL only if results are empty. |

##### Example Input

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    { "url": "https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe" },
    { "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp" },
    { "url": "https://careers.voi.com" }
  ],
  "maxItemsPerSite": 0,
  "detailedInfo": false
}
```

##### Supported ATSs and how they are recognised

| ATS | Recognised URLs | Data source | `detailedInfo` adds |
|-----|-----------------|-------------|---------------------|
| Greenhouse | `boards.greenhouse.io/{company}`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/{company}`, embeds (`…?for={company}`) | public board API | — (description included) |
| Lever | `jobs.lever.co/{company}` | public postings API | — (description included) |
| Ashby | `jobs.ashbyhq.com/{company}` | public job-board API | — (description + compensation included) |
| Workable | `apply.workable.com/{company}`, `{company}.workable.com` | public widget API | — (no description available from the listing API) |
| SmartRecruiters | `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/{Company}`, `careers.smartrecruiters.com/{Company}` | public posting API, paginated | description |
| Recruitee | `{company}.recruitee.com` | public offers API | — (description + requirements included) |
| Teamtailor | `{company}.teamtailor.com` and custom domains | JSON feed + RSS (HTML fallback) | employment type |
| Workday | `{tenant}.wd{N}.myworkdayjobs.com/{Site}`, `wd{N}.myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/{tenant}/{site}` (search `?q=` and facets honoured) | public JSON API, paginated | description, time type, remote type, exact locations |

##### Getting your careers URL

1. Open the company's careers page in your browser. If it redirects to or embeds one of the hosts above, either that host URL or the company page works.
2. Copy the URL and add it to `startUrls`. You can mix ATSs freely in one run.
3. If a company careers page is a JavaScript-only app that loads its job board from a script (no ATS link in the HTML), the Actor logs it as unsupported — paste the ATS board URL directly in that case (open the page, click a job and copy the host of the job link).

Notes: Workday lists at most 2000 jobs per search — narrow with `?q=` or the site's own filters for very large tenants. `company` is the display name when the ATS exposes one and the board token otherwise (Lever, Ashby, Workday without `detailedInfo`).

#### 💬 **Support and Feedback**

Reach out via Apify support channels or leave feedback on the Actor's page.

#### **Is it legal to scrape job data from career sites?**

It is legal to scrape publicly available job data such as titles, locations and descriptions. Results may include personal data (e.g. recruiter or hiring-manager names in job ads); scrape personal data only with a legitimate reason. Consult your legal advisor if unsure.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

One or more company careers URLs. The Actor detects the ATS behind each one: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Teamtailor, BambooHR, Personio, JazzHR or Workday. Paste the ATS board URL (e.g. https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe) or the company's own careers domain (e.g. https://careers.voi.com) — custom domains are fetched once to find the ATS.

## `maxItemsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to return per careers URL (0 = all available).

## `detailedInfo` (type: `boolean`):

Open each job's detail record for ATSs whose listing lacks the description (SmartRecruiters, BambooHR, JazzHR, Workday) or the employment type (Teamtailor). One extra request per job. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Recruitee and Personio already include descriptions without it.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings. Defaults to Apify Proxy (auto). Switch to RESIDENTIAL only if results are empty.
