## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Jobboom Jobs Scraper

***

Quebec Job Listings. Provide any Jobboom listing URL, in English (`/en/...`) or French (`/fr/...`), and get structured job data across result pages: title, employer, location, sector, posting language, employer profile and the job page. Turn on `detailedInfo` to also get the full description, job type, work schedule, shift, salary, start date, posting and closing dates, status and employer reference from each job page.

Jobboom is a long-running Quebec job board (Montréal, Québec City, Laval, Longueuil, Gatineau …). Its listing pages can be narrowed by city, region, industry and posting language; see "Getting your listing URL" below.

#### **📋 Example Output**

Record from a run with `detailedInfo: true` on `https://www.jobboom.com/fr/emploi/_lfr` (French-language postings). Without `detailedInfo`, the result cards only provide `id`, `url`, `title`, `company`, `location`, `sector`, `companyUrl`, `language` and `postingLanguage`; the other fields are `null`:

```json
`salary`, `workShift` and `reference` are filled only when the employer provides them. Applications go through Jobboom's own form, so `applyUrl` is the job page. `postingLanguage` is `"fr"` when Jobboom flags a posting as available in French only (null otherwise).
#### ⚙️ **Configuration**
| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `url` | String | *(required)* | Jobboom listing URL: all jobs (`https://www.jobboom.com/en/job/`, `https://www.jobboom.com/fr/emploi/`), a city page (`https://www.jobboom.com/en/montreal/_c66023`), an industry page (`https://www.jobboom.com/en/accounting-finance-insurance/_i5`), a region page, or a language-filtered page (`https://www.jobboom.com/fr/emploi/_lfr`). A `&page=N` parameter is honoured as the starting page. |
| `maxItems` | Integer | `100` | Stop after this many jobs (15 per result page, pages are fetched until the limit or the last page). 0 = no limit. |
| `detailedInfo` | Boolean | `false` | Visit each job page for the full description, job type, schedule, shift, salary, start date, dates, status and reference. One extra request per job. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | Apify RESIDENTIAL, country CA | Jobboom blocks datacenter IPs, so the default is Apify residential proxy in Canada; the pages are small, so proxy traffic per run is negligible. |
##### Example Input
```json
{
  "url": "https://www.jobboom.com/en/montreal/_c66023",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "detailedInfo": true
}
```
##### Getting your listing URL
1. Open jobboom.com in English or French and open the job listing ("Find a job" / "Trouver un emploi"); it is sorted by last update
2. Narrow it with the left-hand facets: city, region, industry or posting language. The URL changes to a facet path such as `/en/montreal/_c66023` or `/en/accounting-finance-insurance/_i5`
3. Copy the full URL from your browser address bar and paste it as the `url` input
Note: Jobboom's keyword box only decorates the URL (`displayKeyword=...`); the site's server returns the same unfiltered listing for keyword searches, so use the city / industry / region / language facets to narrow results and filter the dataset by `title` afterwards.
#### **Is it legal to scrape Jobboom data?**
It is legal to scrape publicly available data such as job titles, employers, salaries and descriptions. Results may contain personal data (e.g. contact names or e-mails inside a posting); scrape personal data only with a legitimate reason. Personal data is protected by PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 and other regulations — consult your legal advisor if unsure.
# Actor input Schema
## `url` (type: `string`):
A Jobboom listing URL in English or French: all jobs (https://www.jobboom.com/en/job/ or https://www.jobboom.com/fr/emploi/), a city page (https://www.jobboom.com/en/montreal/\_c66023), an industry page (https://www.jobboom.com/en/accounting-finance-insurance/\_i5), a region or language-filtered page, or a keyword search URL copied from the site. A \&page=N parameter is honoured as the starting page.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many jobs (15 per result page). 0 = no limit.
## `detailedInfo` (type: `boolean`):
Visit each job page for the full description, job type, schedule, start date, industry, posting and closing dates, status and employer reference. Slower, one extra request per job.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Jobboom blocks datacenter IPs (HTTP 403), so the Actor uses Apify RESIDENTIAL proxies in Canada by default; leaving Apify Proxy on 'auto' also resolves to residential Canada. Pages are small, so proxy traffic per run is negligible.
## Actor input object example
```json
{
  "url": "https://www.jobboom.com/en/montreal/_c66023",
  "maxItems": 30,
