## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Jobillico Jobs Scraper

***

Quebec Job Listings. Provide any Jobillico search URL, in French (`/recherche-emploi`) or English (`/search-jobs`), and get structured job data across result pages: title, employer, location, employment type, posting date, description snippet, employer profile and the job page. Turn on `detailedInfo` to also get the full description, salary, industry, skills, job status, start date, postal code, exact posting / modification / closing dates and the apply link from each job page.

Jobillico is one of Quebec's largest job boards (Montréal, Québec City, Laval, Gatineau, Sherbrooke …) and is bilingual: use a French search URL for French records and an English one for English records.

#### **📋 Example Output**

Record from a run with `detailedInfo: true` on `https://www.jobillico.com/search-jobs?skwd=analyst&scty=Montreal` (without `detailedInfo`, the detail-only fields `postalCode`, `jobStatus`, `startDate`, `industry`, `skills`, `updatedAt`, `validThrough` and `description` are `null`, and `salary` is filled only when the result card shows one):

`salary` is whatever the employer entered: a figure such as `"80000$ à 95000$ par année"` or a placeholder such as `"À discuter"` / `"To be discussed"`. Applications go through Jobillico's own form, so `applyUrl` is the job page unless the posting exposes an external employer link.

#### ⚙️ **Configuration**

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `url` | String | *(required)* | Jobillico search URL with your filters, French (`https://www.jobillico.com/recherche-emploi?skwd=analyste&scty=Montreal`) or English (`https://www.jobillico.com/search-jobs?skwd=analyst&scty=Montreal`). An `&ipg=N` parameter is honoured as the starting page. |
| `maxItems` | Integer | `100` | Stop after this many jobs (about 10 per result page, pages are fetched until the limit or the last page). 0 = no limit. |
| `detailedInfo` | Boolean | `false` | Visit each job page for the full description, salary, industry, skills, job status, start date, postal code, exact dates and apply link. One extra request per job. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | Apify Proxy (auto) | Proxy settings; switch to RESIDENTIAL only if results are empty. |

##### Example Input

```json
{
  "url": "https://www.jobillico.com/recherche-emploi?skwd=analyste&scty=Montreal",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "detailedInfo": true
}
```

##### Getting your search URL

1. Open jobillico.com (French) or jobillico.com/search-jobs (English), enter keywords and a city, and apply filters (distance, category, job type, date …)
2. Copy the full URL from your browser address bar
3. Paste it as the `url` input

#### **Is it legal to scrape Jobillico data?**

It is legal to scrape publicly available data such as job titles, employers, salaries and descriptions. Results may contain personal data (e.g. names of contacts inside a posting); scrape personal data only with a legitimate reason. Personal data is protected by PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 and other regulations — consult your legal advisor if unsure.
