## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### jobs.ch Jobs Scraper

***

Swiss Job Listings. Provide any jobs.ch search URL, in English (`/en/vacancies/`), German (`/de/stellenangebote/`) or French (`/fr/offres-emplois/`), and get structured job data across result pages: title, employer, location with postal code and canton, workload percentage, contract type, position level, required languages, posting dates, company profile and the job page. Turn on `detailedInfo` to also get the full description (original text plus jobs.ch's translation), jobs.ch's salary estimate, apply link, application method, closing date, weekly working hours, category and the employer website from each job page.

jobs.ch is one of Switzerland's largest job boards (Zürich, Geneva, Basel, Bern, Lausanne …). The search URL language decides the labels (e.g. `Permanent position` / `Festanstellung`) and the job links in the output.

#### **📋 Example Output**

Record from a run with `detailedInfo: true` on `https://www.jobs.ch/en/vacancies/?term=data%20analyst` (description shortened here). Without `detailedInfo`, the detail-only fields `salary*`, `contractStart`, `validThrough`, `workHours`, `category`, `description`, `descriptionTranslated`, `applyUrl`, `applicationMethod`, `companyWebsite` and `language` are `null`:

`salary` is the **salary estimate jobs.ch shows on the job page** (calculated by jobs.ch for a 100% workload, not provided by the employer). `description` is the ad in its original language (`language`); when that differs from the search URL language, `descriptionTranslated` holds jobs.ch's translation. `applyUrl` is the employer's application link for `applicationMethod: "external"`, and the jobs.ch job page when applications go through the jobs.ch form (`"form"`). `contractStart` is filled only when the ad states a start date.

#### ⚙️ **Configuration**

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|

A `&page=N` parameter is honoured as the starting page. |
| `maxItems` | Integer | `100` | Stop after this many jobs (about 20 per result page, pages are fetched until the limit or the last page). 0 = no limit. |
| `detailedInfo` | Boolean | `false` | Visit each job page for the full description, salary estimate, apply link, closing date, working hours, category and company website. One extra request per job. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | Apify Proxy (auto) | Proxy settings; switch to RESIDENTIAL only if results are empty. |

Personal data is protected by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), the GDPR and other regulations — consult your legal advisor if unsure.
