## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### Personio Jobs Scraper

***

Scrape **all job postings** from any Personio-powered career page. Provide any URL on the company's `{company}.jobs.personio.de` (or `.com`) site — the Actor reads the public XML job feed and returns every open position as structured data, full description included, in a single request.

#### **📋 Example Output**

```json
{
  "id": "2716785",
  "url": "https://docuware.jobs.personio.de/job/2716785",
  "title": "(Senior) Sales Manager Outbound (m/w/d)",
  "company": "DocuWare Europe GmbH",
  "location": "Germering / Germany",
  "department": "Sales Europe Central",
  "recruitingCategory": "Open positions - Lea",
  "employmentType": "permanent",
  "seniority": "experienced",
  "schedule": "full-time",
  "yearsOfExperience": "2-5",
  "occupation": "business_development_and_new_accounts",
  "occupationCategory": "sales_and_business_development",
  "keywords": null,
  "salary": null,
  "salaryMin": null,
  "salaryMax": null,
  "salaryCurrency": null,
  "salaryPeriod": null,
  "postedAt": "2026-07-17T09:39:08+00:00",
  "descriptionText": "Warum Wir?: Bei uns erwarten Dich weltweit verteilte, internationale Teams, flache Hierarchien und eine offene Unternehmenskultur, die zum Mitgestalten einlädt. Mobiles Arbeiten und flexible Arbeitsze…",
  "applyUrl": "https://docuware.jobs.personio.de/job/2716785",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-13T17:53:48.481Z"
}
```

When a company publishes a salary range, `salary` reads e.g. `USD 60000-70000 yearly` and the numeric `salaryMin` / `salaryMax` / `salaryCurrency` / `salaryPeriod` fields are filled.

#### ⚙️ **Configuration**

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `url` | String | *(required)* | Any page of a Personio career site, e.g. `https://docuware.jobs.personio.de`. Add `?language=en` to request English texts where the company provides them. The company slug alone also works (defaults to `.de`). |
| `maxItems` | Integer | `0` | Max jobs to return (0 = all). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | Apify Proxy (auto) | Proxy settings. Switch to RESIDENTIAL only if results are empty. |

##### Example Input

```json
{
  "url": "https://docuware.jobs.personio.de",
  "maxItems": 0
}
```

##### Getting your career page URL

1. Open the company careers page hosted on Personio (URL pattern: `{company}.jobs.personio.de` or `{company}.jobs.personio.com`)
2. Copy the full URL from your browser — any page of the site works, including a single job page
3. Paste it as the `url` input

#### **Is it legal to scrape Personio data?**

It is legal to scrape publicly available job data such as titles, locations, and descriptions. Results may include personal data (e.g. recruiter contact names inside descriptions); scrape personal data only with a legitimate reason. Personal data is protected by GDPR and other regulations — consult your legal advisor if unsure.
