## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Québec Grocery Flyers Scraper

***

Weekly flyer prices from Québec grocery stores. Pick the stores - Maxi, Metro, Super C, IGA, Provigo, Adonis, Kim Phat, Avril, Marché Tradition, Marché Richelieu, Mayrand, Supermarché PA, T\&T, Walmart and more - give a postal code, and get every item of their current weekly flyer: product name (split into French and English when the flyer prints both), brand, pack size, price, discount, validity dates, the flyer it comes from and the item image. Leave the store list empty to collect every grocery flyer at that postal code (about 45 stores in Montréal, 20+ in Québec City), or add a keyword such as `poulet` or `café` to compare one product across all stores.

The flyers come from Flipp, the flyer platform Québec grocers publish to, so each record is exactly what the store advertises that week. Flyers change every Thursday.

#### **📋 Example Output**

Record from a run on stores `Maxi, Metro, Adonis, Kim Phat` at `H2X 1Y4` (Montréal), week of 29 October 2026:

```json
{
  "id": "1050182439",
  "url": "https://flipp.com/fr-ca/item/1050182439-maxi-sur-les-soins-pour-bebe-dove-baby-needs-144-g384591-ml?postal_code=H2X1Y4",
  "title": "SUR LES SOINS POUR BÉBÉ DOVE | BABY NEEDS, 144 G/384-591 ML",
  "titleFr": "SUR LES SOINS POUR BÉBÉ DOVE",
  "titleEn": "BABY NEEDS, 144 G/384-591 ML",
  "store": "Maxi",
  "brand": "Dove",
  "size": "144 g/384-591 ML",
  "price": 6.39,
  "priceText": "$6.39",
  "discountPercent": 20,
  "validFrom": "2026-10-29T00:00:00-04:00",
  "validTo": "2026-11-04T23:59:59-05:00",
  "flyerId": "8207435",
  "flyerTitle": "Weekly Flyer - Valid Thursday, October 29 - Wednesday, November 04",
  "flyerUrl": "https://flipp.com/fr-ca/flyer/8207435-maxi-weekly-flyer-valid-thursday-october-29-wednesday-november-04?postal_code=H2X1Y4",
  "imageUrl": "https://f.wishabi.net/page_items/438749673/1792809535/extra_large.jpg",
  "postalCode": "H2X1Y4",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-11-02T15:59:56.911Z"
}
```

A run on those four stores returned 1,020 items: Metro 355, Maxi 302, Adonis 205, Kim Phat 158. `price` is the flyer price in CAD as a number; it is `null` on the few promotional tiles that print no price (about 4 %). `discountPercent` is filled when the flyer shows a saving (about half the items), `brand` on about 45 % and `size` when the name ends with a pack size.

Reach out via Apify support channels or leave feedback on the Actor's page.

#### **Is it legal to scrape grocery flyer data?**

Flyers are advertising that stores publish so that shoppers can compare prices; the actor collects product names, prices and promotion dates and no personal data. Check that your use complies with the terms of the stores and of Flipp - consult your legal advisor if unsure.
