## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Workday Jobs Scraper

***

Scrape **all job postings** from any Workday-powered careers site (`*.myworkdayjobs.com` / `*.myworkdaysite.com`). Provide the careers site URL — the Actor calls the site's public JSON API, pages through every result and returns each open role as structured data. Turn on `detailedInfo` to add the full description, exact locations, time type, remote type and hiring organization.

***

#### **📋 Example Output**

```json
{
  "id": "JR2026775",
  "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/Germany-Munich/Developer-Technology-Engineering-Intern---Compute-Performance_JR2026775",
  "title": "Developer Technology Engineering Intern - Compute Performance",
  "company": "nvidia",
  "location": "Germany, Munich",
  "additionalLocations": "France, Courbevoie | Germany, Wuerselen",
  "country": "Germany",
  "postedOn": "Posted Today",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-13",
  "timeType": "Full time",
  "remoteType": null,
  "jobReqId": "JR2026775",
  "hiringOrganization": "DE01 NVIDIA Germany",
  "descriptionText": "NVIDIA is hiring passionate, world-class computer science studetns to work in its Compute Developer Technology (Devtech) team. With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology industry's most desirable employers…",
  "applyUrl": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/Germany-Munich/Developer-Technology-Engineering-Intern---Compute-Performance_JR2026775/apply",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-13T17:50:42.091Z"
}
```

Without `detailedInfo`, `additionalLocations`, `country`, `timeType`, `remoteType`, `hiringOrganization` and `descriptionText` are `null`, `location` is the listing's location text (or the primary location from the job URL when the listing only says "3 Locations"), and `postedAt` is derived from the "Posted N Days Ago" label (`null` for "30+ Days Ago").

#### ⚙️ **Configuration**

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `url` | String | *(required)* | Workday careers site URL, e.g. `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`. A locale path (`/en-US/`), a search (`?q=engineer`) and facet filters copied from the site URL are honoured. |
| `maxItems` | Integer | `0` | Max jobs to return (0 = all). Workday itself stops listing after 2000 results per search — narrow with `?q=` or facets on very large sites. |
| `detailedInfo` | Boolean | `false` | Fetch each job's detail record (full description, exact locations, time type, remote type, country, hiring organization). One extra request per job. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | Apify Proxy (auto) | Proxy settings. Switch to RESIDENTIAL only if results are empty. |

##### Example Input

```json
{
  "url": "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site?q=engineer",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "detailedInfo": true
}
```

##### Getting your careers site URL

1. Open the company's careers page hosted on Workday (URL pattern: `https://{company}.wd{N}.myworkdayjobs.com/{SiteName}`, e.g. `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`)
2. Optionally type a search term or apply filters on the site so the URL carries `?q=…` and facet parameters
3. Copy the full URL from your browser and paste it as the `url` input — job-page and `/en-US/` URLs also work, the site name is taken from the path

#### **Is it legal to scrape Workday job data?**

It is legal to scrape publicly available job data such as titles, locations and descriptions. Results may include personal data (e.g. recruiter or hiring-manager names inside descriptions); scrape personal data only with a legitimate reason. Consult your legal advisor if unsure.

# Actor input Schema

## `url` (type: `string`):

URL of a Workday careers site, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite or https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site. A locale path (/en-US/...), a search (?q=engineer) and facet filters copied from the site URL are honoured.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to return (0 = all available). Workday stops listing after 2,000 results per search, so narrow huge sites with ?q= or facets; fetching everything on a large site takes several minutes.

## `detailedInfo` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch each job's detail record for the full description, exact locations, time type, remote type, country and hiring organization. One extra request per job.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings. Defaults to Apify Proxy (auto). Switch to RESIDENTIAL only if results are empty.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "detailedInfo": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```
