## Changelog

### 1.1 (2026-10-01)

- **Fair use fix.** The Gazette's fair use policy asks automated tools to crawl only between 21:00 and 07:00 UK time. Between 07:00 and 21:00 UK time the Actor now sends **no request to The Gazette**: it reads a nightly cache (a Cloudflare Worker, `GAZETTE_CACHE_URL`, default `https://gazette-cache.sitecheck-api.workers.dev`) holding the last 8 days of notices. At night it still reads The Gazette directly, within the same limits (one request at a time, 10 s apart, at most 100 requests, none after 07:00 UK time).
- If the cache cannot be read during the day, the run returns one free `cache-unavailable` row ("try again after 21:00 UK time") instead of calling The Gazette. New free row codes: `cache-unavailable`, `cache-range`, `outside-hours`.
- Every row has `dataSource` (`cache` or `gazette`) and `cacheTimestamp`.
- No path that robots.txt disallows is ever requested; a test checks every URL the client can build against a saved copy of the current robots.txt.

### 1.0 (2026-10-01)

- First public version.
- UK corporate insolvency events from The Gazette: administrations, creditors' and members' voluntary liquidations, winding-up petitions (and dismissals), winding-up orders, receiverships and moratoriums; optional follow-up notices (meetings, dividends, final meetings, releases). Default: the last 7 days.
- Notices are listed through The Gazette's documented notice feed (`/insolvency/notice/data.json`) and their structured data (company, court, case number, dates, insolvency practitioners) is read from its documented SPARQL endpoint. If the SPARQL endpoint fails, rows still come from the feed (marked `noticeDetail: "summary"`) with a free `partial-data` row.
- Follows The Gazette's fair use policy: robots.txt read on every run (crawl delay, at least 10 s between requests), an identifiable User-Agent with a contact, Retry-After honoured, and at most 20 requests per run during UK business hours (100 between 21:00 and 07:00 UK time).
- Watch-list mode: up to 1,000 company numbers; with a Companies House API key it also reports first Gazette notices for strike-off (compulsory and voluntary, from the filing history) and CVAs (from the insolvency record).
- Optional Companies House enrichment (status, incorporation date, SIC codes, registered office, insolvency cases), company number found by exact name when a notice has none (`matchConfidence`), sector presets and SIC filters, postcode prefixes, company name filter.
- A high/medium/low `riskSignal` with a one-line explanation for every event type.
- Pay per event: `event-returned` at $0.003. Info rows, the "no results" row and rows about a source that could not be read are free.
