- FDA food, drug and medical device recalls (openFDA enforcement reports) and CPSC consumer product recalls (CPSC Recall Retrieval Web Services) in one feed, newest first. Default: the last 30 days, all four sources, no API key needed.
- Filters: date range (absolute or relative, up to 5 years), keyword, firm, FDA classification, severity, FDA status, firm state or country, and US states in the FDA distribution pattern.
- Output: agency, category, recall number, stable `recallId`, firm(s), product, reason, hazard, classification, status, initiation/report/classification/termination dates, distribution, quantity, lots/models, UPCs, remedy, link to the official notice.
- `severity` (high, medium, low, unknown) from the FDA class or CPSC hazard wording, with a plain-English explanation and the basis of the rating.
- Optional openFDA API key (encrypted input or `OPENFDA_API_KEY`); follows openFDA's documented limits and retries on HTTP 429 and 5xx.
- Pay per event: `recall-returned` at $0.002. Error rows and the "no results" row are free.
