## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 websites

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Contact details scraper: emails, phone numbers and social profiles from any website

**TL;DR:** Contact Details Scraper takes a list of websites or domains and returns, for each one, the **business emails, phone numbers and social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Yelp)** published on its homepage and contact/about pages, plus the company name, CMS/tech stack and a list of website gaps. Built for lead generation, sales prospecting, CRM enrichment and AI agents. You pay **$1.00 per 1,000 websites** read - not per page - and websites that are offline or blocked are free.

It reads only each site's own public pages, respects robots.txt, uses no login and no proxy, and returns only role/business mailboxes - personal-looking addresses are never output.

### What data you get

One dataset row per website that could be read. Values not found are `null` or empty lists.

| Field | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| `url`, `domain`, `finalUrl` | Your input, its domain, the URL after redirects | `https://www.eff.org`, `eff.org` |
| `companyName` | Organisation name from schema.org data or `og:site_name` | `Electronic Frontier Foundation` |
| `email`, `emails` | Business emails (own-domain first) from mailto links, schema.org, visible text, lightly de-obfuscated `[at]` / `[dot]` | `info@eff.org`, `press@eff.org` |
| `phone`, `phones` | Phone numbers from `tel:` links and schema.org (E.164 when international) | `+1...` |
| `facebook`, `instagram`, `linkedin`, `twitter`, `youtube`, `tiktok`, `pinterest`, `yelp` | Social profile URLs (share buttons and post links ignored) | `https://www.linkedin.com/company/EFF` |
| `contactPageUrl`, `pagesFetched` | Contact/about page read, number of pages read | `https://www.eff.org/about`, `3` |
| `personalEmailsHidden` | Personal-looking addresses found on the site but never returned | `3` |
| `cms`, `ecommercePlatform`, `technologies` | Website builder / CMS, shop platform, detected technologies | `Drupal` |
| `analytics`, `adPixels`, `marketingTools`, `bookingPlatform` | Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, HubSpot, live chat, Calendly... | |
| `websiteTitle`, `websiteDescription`, `websiteLanguage` | Homepage SEO basics | |
| `hasHttps`, `websiteResponseMs`, `websiteGaps` | HTTPS, response time, outreach-ready list of what the site lacks | `No analytics` |

Websites that could not be read are listed with the reason (offline, HTTP 403, robots.txt, not HTML) in the key-value store record `FAILED_WEBSITES` and are not charged.

### Use cases

- **Lead generation and cold outreach**: turn a list of company domains into emails, phones and LinkedIn pages.
- **CRM enrichment**: fill missing contact and social fields for accounts you already have.
- **Agencies**: combine contacts with `websiteGaps` and `technologies` to pitch the right service to each prospect.
- **Local business lists**: feed the `website` column from our Local Business Leads Scraper (or any list) to get contacts in bulk.
- **AI agents**: one tool call answers "find the contact email and LinkedIn page for these 20 companies".

### How to scrape contact details from websites

1. Paste **Websites** - full URLs or bare domains, one per line (up to 50,000 per run).
2. Choose **Pages per website** (default 3 = homepage + 2 contact/about/team/imprint pages).
3. Optional: **Parallel websites**, **Respect robots.txt** (on by default).
4. Click **Start**. Export CSV / Excel / JSON or read the dataset via API.

`RUN_SUMMARY` holds websites requested / saved / failed, seconds, requests, retries and charged events. The dataset has two views: **Contacts** and **All fields**.

### How much does it cost to scrape contact details?

Pay per event, per website - every page read on that site (up to your **Pages per website**) is included. Compute and requests are included; the price is the same on every Apify plan.

| Event | Charged when | Price |
|---|---|---|
| `website` | One website read and saved to the dataset | **$1.00 per 1,000** ($0.001 each) |
| `apify-actor-start` | Once per run (Apify's standard start fee) | $0.00005 |

**Worked examples**

- **1,000 websites** = 1,000 × $0.001 = **$1.00**, whether you read 1 or 10 pages per site.
- In our 300-business test list (Denver, 281 unique domains), 207 sites were readable = **$0.21**; the 74 offline or blocked sites cost nothing.

### Speed

Measured on our test runs (2026-11-03): the 3 prefill websites at 3 pages each in a few seconds; **281 real small-business domains in 50.5 s** with 20 sites in parallel (881 requests, 50 retried). Each site has a hard deadline so a slow server never stalls the run; 429 and 5xx responses are retried with exponential backoff.

### How it compares

| | This actor | Page-based crawlers | Manual research | Contact databases |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unit price | Per website (all pages included) | Per page crawled | Your time | Subscription / credits |
| Source | The company's own public website | Same | Same | Mixed, often undisclosed |
| Social profiles | 8 networks, share links filtered out | Varies | Manual | Some |
| Tech stack and website gaps | Included | No | No | Sometimes |
| Personal data | Role/business mailboxes only; personal addresses never output | Usually everything | You decide | Personal data by design |
| robots.txt | Respected | Varies | n/a | n/a |

### FAQ

#### How do I extract emails from a list of websites?

Paste the URLs or domains into **Websites** and run. Each row returns the business emails found on the homepage and up to N contact/about pages, plus phones and social links. Export as CSV.

#### Which emails are returned?

Role and business mailboxes such as info@, contact@, sales@, press@, office@, bookings@, and addresses named after the company (for example `joesplumbingatx@gmail.com`). Personal-looking addresses (`firstname.lastname@...`) are counted in `personalEmailsHidden` but never returned - there is no option to turn them on.

#### Is it legal to scrape contact details from websites?

The actor reads only pages the website publishes openly, honours robots.txt, sends an identifying user agent and does not log in or bypass protections; sites that block automated access (for example with HTTP 403) are skipped. Business contact data is still subject to privacy and anti-spam law (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, PECR) when you use it - which is why personal addresses are never returned.

#### How many pages per website are crawled?

The homepage plus up to N-1 same-domain pages whose link text or URL looks like contact, about, team, imprint/Impressum, locations or "get in touch" (default N = 3, max 10). The price is the same per website.

#### Does it find phone numbers and LinkedIn pages?

Yes: phones come from `tel:` links and schema.org data; social profiles from links and schema.org `sameAs` for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest and Yelp.

#### What happens with websites that are down or block bots?

They are not charged. They appear in `FAILED_WEBSITES` with the reason, for example `unreachable (ENOTFOUND)`, `HTTP 403` or `disallowed by robots.txt`.

#### Can I use it with a list of businesses from Google Sheets or my CRM?

Yes - pass the website column as **Websites** via the API, Make, Zapier or n8n, then write the rows back.

#### Can an AI agent use this contact finder?

Yes. Through the Apify MCP server an agent can find it with `search-actors`, read the input schema and call it with a list of domains. See **Integrations**.

#### Something wrong?

Open an issue on the Issues tab; we aim to respond within 24 hours.

### Integrations

- **API**: `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/offgrid-labs~website-contact-extractor/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>` with the input JSON returns the rows directly (runs under 5 minutes; otherwise start a run and read its dataset).
- **Python / JavaScript**: `pip install apify-client` / `npm install apify-client`, then `client.actor("offgrid-labs/website-contact-extractor").call(run_input={"urls": [...]})`.
- **No-code**: Apify integrations for **Make**, **Zapier** and **n8n**, Google Sheets, HubSpot/CRM webhooks and Schedules.
- **MCP / AI agents**: add `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=offgrid-labs/website-contact-extractor` to your MCP client.

### Changelog

- **2026-11-03** · Policy: removed the `includePersonalEmails` option. Only role/business mailboxes are ever returned; personal-looking addresses are counted in `personalEmailsHidden` only.
- **2026-11-03** · First release: homepage + contact/about page crawl, business-email policy, phones, 8 social networks, company name, tech stack and website gaps, per-site deadline, HTTPS→HTTP fallback for bare domains, `FAILED_WEBSITES` (not charged), `RUN_SUMMARY`.
