## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## WooCommerce Scraper - Products, Prices, Stock & Price Tracker

**Scrape every product from any WooCommerce store and track price and stock changes over time.** Get names, SKUs, prices, regular and sale prices, discount %, currency, stock and backorder flags, categories, tags, brands, attributes, ratings, images and URLs. Run many stores at once, filter by category, keyword, stock or sale, and switch on change mode to get only what changed since your last run.

✅ Whole catalogue in seconds   ✅ Many stores per run   ✅ Price, sale and stock change tracking   ✅ Category, keyword, in-stock and on-sale filters   ✅ No login, no API keys   ✅ $0.80 per 1,000 products

### What can you use it for?

- **Competitor price monitoring**: schedule daily runs and get only price drops, new sales and restocks
- **MAP and reseller monitoring**: check what retailers on WooCommerce charge for your products
- **Dropshipping and product research**: see what stores sell, at what price, and what's in stock
- **Catalogue migration and feeds**: export a WooCommerce catalogue to CSV, Excel or JSON (e.g. before moving to Shopify)
- **Market research**: price ranges, discounts and assortment across a niche

### How it works

WooCommerce stores (WooCommerce 4.x and newer, which is nearly all of them) serve a public **Store API** that powers their own cart and product blocks. This Actor reads that same public catalogue, page by page, so it's fast, cheap and doesn't need a browser. If a site isn't on WooCommerce, or has switched the Store API off, you get a warning and pay nothing.

### How to use it

1. Add store URLs or domains: `yithemes.com`, `https://example-shop.co.uk`. Paste a `/product-category/<slug>/` link to scrape one category, or put category slugs in **Categories**.
2. Optional: keywords, in stock only, on sale only, description and all images.
3. For monitoring, switch on **Only new products and price/stock changes** and schedule the Actor (daily is typical).
4. Click **Start** and export JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "stores": ["https://yithemes.com", "https://woocommerce.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/operations/accounting-extensions/"],
  "keywords": ["booking", "xero"],
  "onlyAvailable": true,
  "onlyChanges": true
}
```

#### Input fields

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `stores` | Store URLs or domains. A `/product-category/` URL limits that store to one category. |
| `categories` | Category slugs or IDs applied to every store. |
| `keywords` | Keep products whose name, SKU, categories, tags, brands or short description contain any keyword. |
| `onlyAvailable` / `onlyOnSale` | In-stock only / discounted only. |
| `includeDescription` | Adds full description text and all image URLs. |
| `onlyChanges` | Returns only new products and price/stock changes since the last run for the same store and categories. |
| `maxProductsPerStore`, `maxConcurrency`, `useApifyProxy` | Limits and networking. Proxy is included in the price. |

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "https://woocommerce.com",
  "productId": 18734006569311,
  "name": "Invoice Sync for Xero",
  "type": "simple",
  "sku": null,
  "url": "https://woocommerce.com/products/invoice-sync-for-xero/",
  "image": "https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/woo-xero-logo-160.png",
  "price": 69.0,
  "regularPrice": 69.0,
  "salePrice": null,
  "priceMin": 69.0,
  "priceMax": 69.0,
  "currency": "USD",
  "onSale": false,
  "discountPercent": null,
  "inStock": true,
  "onBackorder": false,
  "averageRating": 0.0,
  "reviewCount": 0,
  "categories": ["WooCommerce extensions", "Store management", "Accounting"],
  "tags": [],
  "brands": [],
  "attributes": [],
  "variationCount": 0,
  "shortDescription": "Stop entering WooCommerce orders into Xero by hand...",
  "change": "new"
}
```

Prices are converted from WooCommerce's minor units into normal decimals in the store's currency. Variable products carry `priceMin` / `priceMax` across their variations. `change` appears only in change mode: `new` or `updated` (price, sale price or stock moved).

### How much does it cost?

**$0.80 per 1,000 products** (pay per event, $0.0008 per product row). No start fee. Sites that aren't on WooCommerce, or that block the Store API, cost nothing. In change mode you only pay for rows that changed.

**Worked examples**

- A 129-product store, full scrape = 129 × $0.0008 = **$0.10**
- 5 stores with 2,000 products each = 10,000 rows = **$8.00**
- Daily tracking of 20 stores with ~200 price/stock changes a day = **$0.16 a day** (about $4.80 a month)

### Use it via API

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_API_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("olsols4/woocommerce-store-products").call(run_input={
    "stores": ["yithemes.com"], "onlyOnSale": True})
for row in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(row["name"], row["price"], row["regularPrice"], row["currency"], row["inStock"])
```

Or with plain HTTP:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/olsols4~woocommerce-store-products/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_API_TOKEN>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"stores":["yithemes.com"]}'
```

Send results to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier, n8n or a webhook through Apify integrations.

### FAQ

**Which stores work?** WordPress sites running WooCommerce with the public Store API enabled, which is the default. A few stores disable it or sit behind aggressive bot protection; those return nothing and cost nothing.

**How do I know if a site is WooCommerce?** Just add it. If it isn't, the log says so and you're not charged.

**Does it get each variation's price?** It returns the price range across variations (`priceMin`, `priceMax`) and the attribute values (sizes, colours). The public Store API doesn't list per-variation prices on the catalogue endpoint.

**Does it get exact stock quantities?** It gets in-stock, backorder and the low-stock count when the store chooses to show one. Exact quantities aren't public.

**What currency are prices in?** The store's own currency, given in `currency`.

**Do I need a WooCommerce API key?** No. It reads the same public catalogue shoppers see. It never logs in or touches orders or customer data.

**Shopify stores too?** Use our sister Actor [Shopify Scraper - Products, Prices, Stock & Price Tracker](https://apify.com/olsols4/shopify-store-products).
