## Pricing

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Instagram Profile Scraper — One Bad Handle Never Kills Your Batch

> **You paste usernames. You get followers, engagement, bio contact, and
> Instagram's own suggested similar accounts — per profile, with a source
> URL on every field.**

### Why this, not another Instagram scraper

The category leader has 508 clients and a 2.54/5 rating, driven by 12.6%
failure — a private or deleted profile in your batch used to destroy the
whole run. This Actor scopes each profile independently: one failure costs
you nothing and nobody else's data.

### 5 advantages

1. **One bad handle never kills your batch.** A private/deleted profile
   returns an error for that item only; every other profile still delivers.
2. **Never billed on a failed lookup.** Only profiles actually delivered
   are charged.
3. **Lookalikes for free.** Set a seed username and get Instagram's own
   "similar accounts" for it — no second scrape, no extra engine.
4. **Contact verification level, always disclosed.** `published` (found on
   the page) or `mx_valid` (domain's mail server confirmed). Never guessed.
5. **Hard cost cap you control.** Set `maxTotalChargeUsd` and the run can
   never bill above it.

### Output

```json
{
  "username": "examplebrand",
  "profile_url": "https://www.instagram.com/examplebrand/",
  "followers": 104384,
  "is_business": true,
  "category": "Retail",
  "engagement_rate": 0.021,
  "median_recent_likes": 2210,
  "public_contact": {
    "email": "hello@example.com",
    "verification_level": "mx_valid",
    "source": "https://example.com"
  },
  "lookalikes": [{"username": "similarbrand", "full_name": "Similar Brand"}],
  "status": "ok"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event, base FREE-tier prices: **$0.0015** per profile delivered, **$0.0008** per recent post.
Paid Store plans pay less on every event — the largest plans reach $0.00044 on the cheapest event; the Pricing tab on this Actor's Store page is
always the authority. **No event is ever charged on an item that returns an `error`** —
a batch of 200 with one bad input bills 199.
