## Pricing

from $3.30 / 1,000 supplier verifieds

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## ThomasNet Supplier Scraper — Verify, Not Just List

> **You paste a company name. You get its ThomasNet listing: address, year
> founded, employee range, product categories and a public contact.**

### Why verification, not a bulk list

Most sourcing tools return a giant list you have to sift through. This
Actor verifies specific suppliers you already have in mind — the entity you
put in is the entity you get back, with proof.

### 5 advantages

1. **One bad company name never kills your batch.** Not found on ThomasNet?
   That row errors out alone; every other company still delivers.
2. **Never billed on a failed lookup.**
3. **Honest about what ThomasNet has — and doesn't.** ThomasNet listings
   carry no certifications data, so we don't pretend otherwise: you get
   real product/service categories instead, not an empty promise.
4. **Optional contact discovery.** Turn on `includeContacts` and we check
   the supplier's own website for a public email, on top of ThomasNet's
   listed phone number.
5. **Hard cost cap you control.** Set `maxTotalChargeUsd` and the run can
   never bill above it.

### Output

```json
{
  "supplier_id": "10005409",
  "legal_name": "Boeing",
  "website": "https://www.boeing.com/",
  "address": {"city": "Chicago", "state": "IL", "country": "USA"},
  "year_established": "1916",
  "employee_range": "1000+",
  "capabilities": ["Aircraft", "Communication Systems"],
  "public_contact": {"phone": "(888) 970-7171", "email": null},
  "status": "ok"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event, base FREE-tier prices: **$0.011** per verified supplier.
Paid Store plans pay less on every event — the largest plans reach $0.00605 on the cheapest event; the Pricing tab on this Actor's Store page is
always the authority. **No event is ever charged on an item that returns an `error`** —
a batch of 200 with one bad input bills 199.
