## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Spotify Play Count Scraper

Spotify Play Count Scraper by Omkar Cloud gets you 🎯 accurate, 🔍 detailed Spotify play counts.

**$1 per 1,000 tracks.** And with Apify's free plan you get $5 of credit every month, so your first **~5,000 tracks each month are free**.

This is an excellent Actor made by Omkar Cloud, which is Rated Excellent — [4.7 based on 30 reviews on Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/omkar.cloud).

👉 [**Try Spotify Play Count Scraper free**](https://apify.com/omkar-cloud/spotify-play-count-scraper) — your first ~5,000 tracks are Free.

### What can I get

- 🎤 **An artist's whole discography** — paste an artist link and get every track of every album, single and compilation, each with its exact play count
- 💿 **Every track of an album** — track number, disc, duration, explicit flag and play count
- 📋 **Every track of a playlist** — position, date added, chart movement on chart playlists, and play count
- 🎵 **Single tracks** — paste as many track links as you like; they are fetched 20 at a time
- 🔗 **Any Spotify link** — open.spotify.com links in any language, `spotify:` URIs and spotify.link short links

### Why Spotify Play Count Scraper

Most other Spotify play count scrapers fail you in one of four ways:

- 🗄️ **Inaccurate, cached, stale data**
- 🧩 **Low-detail data** — a play count and a name, never the album, artists, duration or chart position
- 💸 **Pay more to get the same data** — $4 or more per 1,000 tracks, plus start fees
- 🪦 **Works today, breaks next month** — nobody maintains it

Spotify Play Count Scraper is scraped live on every run, priced honestly, and actively maintained.

### FAQ

#### What is the play count?

The all-time number of streams Spotify shows for the track — the same number you see on the artist's page in the Spotify app, as a plain integer (`1665656522`, not "1.6B").

#### What does an artist link return?

Every track of the artist's releases — albums, singles & EPs and compilations, newest first. Pick **Artist Releases** to limit it to albums, singles or compilations only. A track that appears on two releases (a single and its album) is scraped and billed only once per run.

#### How many tracks do I get per link?

All of them, up to **Max Tracks per Link** (default 1,000). Albums and playlists are read 100 tracks at a time; there is no upper limit on playlist size.

#### Do playlists with podcast episodes work?

Yes — the tracks are returned with their play counts and the episodes are skipped, since episodes have no play count.

#### Is the data live?

Yes. Every run fetches Spotify live — play counts are as fresh as Spotify itself.

#### What does it cost?

$0.001 per track — $1 per 1,000, flat on every plan, with no start fee. Tracks that can't be found are not billed. Apify's free plan gives you $5 of credit every month, which is 5,000 tracks free every month.

#### Is it legal to scrape Spotify?

The Actor collects publicly available catalog data — track names, artists, albums and play counts — without personal information. Please review Spotify's terms of use and make sure your use complies with the law of your jurisdiction.

# Actor input Schema

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Paste any Spotify track, album, playlist or artist links (`https://open.spotify.com/album/4a6NzYL1YHRUgx9e3YZI6I`), `spotify:` URIs or spotify.link short links. An album or playlist gives every track on it; an artist gives every track of their discography; a track gives that track. Each row carries a `source_type` and `source_name` so you can tell the inputs apart.

## `artistReleaseTypes` (type: `string`):

For artist links: which releases to take tracks from.

## `maxResultsPerUrl` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many tracks from one link — the easiest way to cap cost (1,000 tracks ≈ $1). A whole discography can run to several hundred tracks.
