## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Amazon Reviews Scraper: Public Product Reviews by ASIN or Product Link

**$1 per 1,000 reviews. Platform usage included. No rental, no minimum.**

[Open it in Apify Console](https://console.apify.com/actors/76qwbRgJ6Wee2eHQi/input)

### What it costs

| Reviews | Price |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $1.00 |
| 10,000 | $10.00 |
| 100,000 | $100.00 |

Plus $0.001 per run. One flat price, platform usage included, so there is no separate compute or proxy bill. Products that show no reviews, products that are not found and pages Amazon refuses cost nothing beyond the run fee.

Amazon shows a logged out visitor about 8 to 13 reviews per product, so 1,000 reviews takes about 77 to 125 products. A weekly run over 20 products returns at most about 260 reviews and costs up to $0.261, or about $1.04 a month over four runs.

### Why use it

- **One flat price.** Compute and proxy are included, and you pay only for reviews delivered.
- **Any of 20 Amazon stores.** Give ASINs or product links for amazon.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .it, .es, .ca, .com.au, .in, .co.jp and more. A link sets its own store.
- **Product facts on every row.** Each review comes with the product's title, brand, average rating and ratings count, plus stars, title, full text in the original language, date, country, verified purchase, Vine flag, helpful votes, photos and variant.
- **No login, no repeats.** No Amazon account, cookies or API key. A review is never returned twice in one run, even when variant ASINs share it.

### Quick start

1. Open the actor, paste ASINs or product links, press **Start**.
2. Or paste this input:

```json
{ "products": ["B07ZPKBL9V", "https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PJV3JPR"], "maxItems": 30 }
```

3. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Use it from code

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/one_dollar_store~amazon-product-reviews-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"products": ["B07ZPKBL9V", "B0CHWRXH8B"], "maxItems": 30}'
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("one_dollar_store/amazon-product-reviews-scraper").call(
    run_input={"products": ["B07ZPKBL9V", "B0CHWRXH8B"], "maxItems": 30}
)
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["asin"], item["rating"], item.get("title"), item.get("text", "")[:80])
```

### Use it from an AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants can call this actor through Apify's MCP server. Add it with this server address:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=one_dollar_store/amazon-product-reviews-scraper
```

Then ask, for example: "Get the Amazon reviews shown for ASIN B07ZPKBL9V and sum up what buyers like and dislike."

### Switching from another Amazon reviews actor

Products go in `products`, as ASINs or product links. The store for bare ASINs is `marketplace`, and the result limit is `maxItems`. The core fields are `asin`, `rating`, `title`, `text`, `date`, `verifiedPurchase` and `reviewCountry`. Note the per product limit under Limits before you switch.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| `products` | list of text | required | ASINs (like `B07FZ8S74R`) or product links (`https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PJV3JPR`). A link sets its own store. |
| `marketplace` | text | `amazon.com` | The Amazon store used for bare ASINs, for example `amazon.co.uk`, `amazon.de`, `amazon.in` or `amazon.co.jp`. |
| `includeOtherCountries` | true or false | true | Keep the reviews Amazon adds from its other stores. Turn off to keep only local reviews. |
| `maxItems` | number | 100 | Total reviews for the run. Minimum 10. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | Apify data center | Works for most products. Switch to residential if many products come back empty. Its cost is included in the price. |

### Output fields

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `reviewId`, `reviewUrl` | Review ID and link. |
| `asin`, `marketplace`, `productUrl` | Product and store. |
| `productTitle`, `productBrand`, `productRating`, `productRatingsCount` | Product facts from the page. |
| `rating`, `title`, `text` | Stars (1 to 5), review title and full text in the original language. |
| `date`, `dateText` | Date as YYYY-MM-DD and Amazon's wording. |
| `reviewCountry`, `fromOtherCountry` | Where it was written; true if from another Amazon store. |
| `verifiedPurchase`, `vineReview`, `helpfulVotes` | Badges and helpful votes. |
| `authorName`, `authorProfileUrl` | Public display name and profile link, when shown. |
| `variant`, `images` | Option bought and full size review photo links, when shown. |
| `scrapedAt` | Collection time. |

Empty fields are left out of a row.

### Sample results

Real rows from a test run on 4 October 2026. Reviewer names and `scrapedAt` are left out here.

   "variant": "Size: 64GB | Color: Black | Service provider: Cricket | Product grade: Renewed"}
]
```
The second and third rows also leave out the product and link fields shown in the first.
### Limits
- **About 8 to 13 reviews per product.** Amazon asks visitors to sign in before it shows its full review pages. This actor stays logged out, so it reads only what the public product page shows: usually 8 reviews from the product's own store plus up to 5 from other Amazon countries, chosen by Amazon (mostly its "top reviews"). Paging deeper, sorting by newest or filtering by star needs a login, so this actor cannot do it. For more reviews, add more products.
- Some visitors get "Sign in to see customer reviews" instead of the reviews (an Amazon test). The actor then asks again a few times as a new visitor; if the product still shows none, it is skipped and noted in the log.
- CAPTCHAs are never solved. The actor tries that product once more, then skips it. After several refused products in a row the run stops and says so in the log.
- A run summary is saved in the key-value store as `RUN_SUMMARY`.
### FAQ
**How much does it cost to scrape 10,000 Amazon reviews?**
$10, plus $0.001 for each run. At about 8 to 13 reviews per product, that is roughly 770 to 1,250 products.
**Do I pay for compute or proxy on top?**
No. Platform usage is included in the $1 per 1,000 price.
**Why did a product return no reviews?**
Either the product has no reviews on that store, or Amazon kept showing "Sign in to see customer reviews" to every visit the actor made. Try again later, try the product's link on another Amazon store, or switch the proxy to residential.
**Can I get all reviews of a product, or only 1 star reviews?**
Not while logged out. Amazon serves those views only to signed in users, and this actor never logs in.
**Which Amazon stores work?**
Every store in the marketplace list. Reviews keep their original language.
**Is it legal?**
The actor reads only public pages that any logged out visitor can see. It does not log in or get around any login. You are responsible for how you use the data: follow Amazon's terms and the laws where you live, and take extra care with reviewer names, which are personal data in many countries.
**Is this an official Amazon product?**
No. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon.
**Do I need an Apify account?**
Yes. Actors run from an Apify account, and a free account is enough to start: it includes $5 of platform usage every month. You can [sign up here](https://www.apify.com?fpr=ymnoit). This is a referral link and it costs you nothing.
**Is there a limit on the free plan?**
Yes. A run started from a free plan account delivers the first 10 results, then ends with a message and a link to the plans. Any paid plan returns everything you ask for, up to your own limit. The price per result is the same on every plan.
### Changelog
- October 2026: first release.
# Actor input Schema
## `products` (type: `array`):
ASINs (like B07FZ8S74R) or Amazon product links. A link sets its own marketplace; a bare ASIN uses the marketplace below.
## `marketplace` (type: `string`):
Which Amazon store to read when you give an ASIN without a link.
## `includeOtherCountries` (type: `boolean`):
Amazon often adds a few reviews written on its other stores under the local ones. Turn this off to keep only reviews from the chosen marketplace.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
The run stops after this many reviews in total. Minimum 10. Each product gives about 8 to 13 reviews, so add more products for more reviews.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Apify datacenter proxy works for most products and is the cheapest. Switch to residential if many products come back empty.
