## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Lever Jobs Scraper: open roles from company job boards

**$1 per 1,000 jobs. Platform usage included. No rental, no minimum.**

Lever Jobs Scraper returns open roles from the Lever job boards of the companies you list by site name or board link, filtered by keyword, location and department. Each row has the job title, team, location, work type, apply link, posting date and the salary range when the posting shows one, with the full description if you ask for it.

[Open it in Apify Console](https://console.apify.com/actors/p6jL0w1MwDyyP4L6e/input)

Paste the site name or board link of any company that hires through Lever, and get its open roles as clean rows: title, team, location, work type, salary range when the posting shows one, link to apply, date and, if you want it, the full description. Filter by keyword, location and department. It reads Lever's public postings API, so there is no login and no API key.

### How much does Lever Jobs Scraper cost?

| Jobs | Price |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $1.00 |
| 10,000 | $10.00 |
| 100,000 | $100.00 |

Plus $0.001 per run. One flat price, platform usage included, so there is no separate compute or proxy bill. A daily run that collects 300 jobs costs about $0.30, or about $9 a month.

### Why use it

- **Many companies in one run.** List as many Lever boards as you like. A board is read 100 postings at a time, so a board with 300 postings takes a few requests.
- **Names or links.** Paste `palantir`, or `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, or an EU board link such as `https://jobs.eu.lever.co/name`. The actor finds the site name itself and picks the right region.
- **Filters that run before you pay.** Keyword in the title, location, department or team, and a per company limit are applied first, so you are charged only for the jobs you keep.
- **Work type and salary.** Each row says whether the role is remote, hybrid or on site when Lever has it, and carries the salary range when the posting publishes one.

### How to use Lever Jobs Scraper

1. Open the actor, add one or more site names or board links, press **Start**.
2. Or paste this input:

```json
{ "companies": ["palantir", "spotify"], "keyword": "engineer", "maxJobsPerCompany": 50, "maxItems": 100 }
```

3. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Use it from code

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/one_dollar_store~lever-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"companies": ["palantir", "spotify"], "keyword": "engineer", "maxItems": 50}'
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("one_dollar_store/lever-jobs-scraper").call(
    run_input={"companies": ["palantir", "spotify"], "keyword": "engineer", "maxItems": 50}
)
for job in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(job["companyToken"], job["title"], job["location"], job["url"])
```

### Use it from an AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants can call this actor through Apify's MCP server. Add it with this server address:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=one_dollar_store/lever-jobs-scraper
```

Then ask, for example: "List the open engineering jobs at Spotify on Lever in London, with the apply link."

### Switching from another Lever actor

Most Lever actors take a list of companies and a result limit. Here the list is `companies` (site names or board links) and the limit is `maxItems`, with `maxJobsPerCompany` to keep one large board from using the whole run. The core fields are `companyToken`, `title`, `location`, `team`, `url`, `postedAt` and `jobId`.

### How to find a company's Lever site name

The site name is the part after `jobs.lever.co/`: for `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir` it is `palantir`. You can paste the whole address. A link to one job (`https://jobs.lever.co/spotify/<job id>`) works too. EU boards use `jobs.eu.lever.co`; paste that link, or just the name, and the actor tries the main region first and then the EU one.

When a company shows its jobs on its own site, open any job and look at the Apply button or the page source for a `jobs.lever.co/<name>` link. If the name is wrong, the log and the `RUN_SUMMARY` record list it under `notFound`. A real board with no open jobs is not an error; it just returns no rows.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| `companies` | list of text | none | Lever site names or board links, one per line. Required. |
| `keyword` | text | none | Keeps jobs whose title contains all of these words, in any order. Not case sensitive. |
| `location` | text | none | Keeps jobs whose location (or any listed location) contains this text. Several options with a semicolon: `London; Remote`. |
| `department` | text | none | Keeps jobs whose department or team contains this text. Several options with a semicolon. |
| `includeDescription` | true or false | false | Adds the description, requirement lists and closing text as plain text in `description`. |
| `maxJobsPerCompany` | number | 200 | Most jobs taken from one board, after your filters (up to 5,000). |
| `maxItems` | number | 1000 | Total jobs for the run. Minimum 10. |

Example with filters:

```json
{
  "companies": ["https://jobs.lever.co/palantir", "spotify"],
  "keyword": "engineer",
  "location": "London; New York",
  "includeDescription": true,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 25,
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

### What data does Lever Jobs Scraper return?

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `companyToken` | The Lever site name that was read. Lever does not send a company display name. |
| `jobId` | Lever posting id. Stable, good for dropping repeats between runs. |
| `title` | Job title. |
| `location` | Main location. |
| `allLocations` | All locations, only when a posting lists more than one. |
| `department`, `team` | Department and team as the company set them. Many boards fill only one of them. |
| `commitment` | Employment type text such as Full-time or Permanent. |
| `workplaceType` | `remote`, `hybrid`, `onsite` or `unspecified`, as the company set it. |
| `country` | Country code of the posting, when set. |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryInterval` | Salary range, only when the posting publishes one. |
| `url`, `applyUrl` | Lever page of the job and its apply page. |
| `postedAt` | When the posting was created in Lever, in UTC. |
| `description` | Plain text description, only when `includeDescription` is on. |

### Sample results

Real rows from test runs on 9 October 2026 (descriptions left out). The third row comes from `leverdemo`, Lever's own demo board, and is the one with a salary range.

### Limits

- Only published postings are returned. Internal and unpublished postings are not visible to the public API.
- Lever sends no company display name, so rows carry the site name in `companyToken`.
- Salary fields appear only when a posting publishes a range. Most boards publish none.
- Many boards fill only `team` or only `department`, and some fill neither. `commitment` and `workplaceType` depend on how the company set up its postings.
- `postedAt` is when the posting was created in Lever, so a long running posting can look old.
- A board is read 100 postings at a time, up to 6,000 postings per board. Filters are applied after reading, so a rare keyword on a very large board still reads the whole board first.
- The description is plain text from Lever's own plain text fields, with the requirement lists added below it. Formatting is simplified.
- Repeats of the same company and job id are removed before you are charged.

### FAQ

**How much does it cost to scrape 10,000 Lever jobs?**
$10, plus $0.001 for each run.

**Do I pay for compute or proxy on top?**
No. Platform usage is included in the $1 per 1,000 price. The actor calls Lever's public API directly and uses no proxy.

**Where does the data come from?**
From Lever's public postings API (api.lever.co/v0/postings, and api.eu.lever.co for EU boards), the same feed that fills a company's Lever careers page. It needs no key and no login.

**How do I find a company's Lever site name?**
Open a job and look for `jobs.lever.co/<name>` in the address or the Apply link. Pasting the whole link works. See the section above for more.

**How do I find only new jobs every day?**
Schedule a run and keep the `jobId` values you already have. You can also compare `postedAt` with yesterday's date.

**Why did a company give me no rows?**
Either the site name is wrong (the log says "No Lever site found" and the run summary lists it under `notFound`), the board has no open jobs, or your keyword, location and department filters matched nothing.

**Is it legal?**
The actor reads public data only, with no login. The postings are published by the companies so that anyone can read and apply. How you use the data is up to you: follow the terms of the company and of Lever, and the law where you live. Do not use the data to send unwanted messages.

**Is this an official Lever product?**
No. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Lever.

**Do I need an Apify account?**
Yes. Actors run from an Apify account, and a free account is enough to start: it includes $5 of platform usage every month. You can [sign up here](https://www.apify.com?fpr=ymnoit). This is a referral link and it costs you nothing.

**Is there a limit on the free plan?**
Yes. A run started from a free plan account delivers the first 10 results, then ends with a message and a link to the plans. Any paid plan returns everything you ask for, up to your own limit. The price per result is the same on every plan.
