## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 results

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Telegram Channel Scraper: Posts, Views, Reactions and Media from Public Channels

**$1 per 1,000 posts. Platform usage included. No rental, no minimum.**

Posts from any public Telegram channel: text, date, views, reactions, photos, videos, link previews, links, hashtags and mentions. Read from the public `t.me/s/<channel>` preview page, newest first. No account, phone number or API key.

[Open it in Apify Console](https://console.apify.com/actors/bdGIpHRLFDxBpfI6t/input)

### What it costs

| Posts | This actor |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $1.00 |
| 10,000 | $10.00 |
| 100,000 | $100.00 |

Plus $0.001 per run. One flat price, platform usage included, so there is no separate compute or proxy bill. Only post rows are charged; missing channels, private chats and empty searches cost nothing beyond the run fee. A daily run of 300 posts costs $0.301, or about $9 a month.

### Why use it

- **One flat price.** Compute and proxy are included, so the bill follows the number of posts and nothing else.
- **No login of any kind.** No account, phone number, bot token or API key to set up.
- **Full history.** It walks back page by page to the first post if you ask, or starts at any post link and goes back from there.
- **Rich rows.** Reactions with counts, photo and video links, link cards, polls, files, forwards and replies, plus a word filter and a date cutoff.

### Quick start

1. Open the actor, add one or more channel names, press **Start**.
2. Or paste this input:

```json
{ "channels": ["durov", "https://t.me/telegram", "@TelegramTips"], "maxPostsPerChannel": 20, "maxItems": 50 }
```

3. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Use it from code

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/one_dollar_store~telegram-channel-posts-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"channels": ["durov", "telegram"], "maxPostsPerChannel": 20, "maxItems": 40}'
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("one_dollar_store/telegram-channel-posts-scraper").call(
    run_input={"channels": ["durov", "telegram"], "maxPostsPerChannel": 20, "maxItems": 40}
)
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["date"], item["postUrl"], item.get("views"))
```

### Use it from an AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants can call this actor through Apify's MCP server. Add it with this server address:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=one_dollar_store/telegram-channel-posts-scraper
```

Then ask, for example: "Get the last 50 posts from the Telegram channel durov with their views and reactions."

### Switching from another Telegram actor

Channels go in `channels` (a list). Write them as `durov`, `@durov`, `t.me/durov` or `https://t.me/s/durov`; a post link such as `https://t.me/durov/300` starts at that post. Limits are `maxPostsPerChannel` and `maxItems`. The core fields are `channel`, `postUrl`, `date`, `text` and `views`.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| `channels` | list of text | required | Public channel names or t.me links. |
| `searchQuery` | text | empty | Keep only posts whose text, link preview, poll or file names contain all these words. |
| `newerThan` | text | empty | A date (`2026-09-01`) or a span back from now (`7 days`, `12 hours`). |
| `maxPostsPerChannel` | number | 100 | Most posts to take from each channel. |
| `maxItems` | number | 1000 | Most posts in the whole run (minimum 10). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | proxy | Apify datacenter | The default works well for t.me. |

### Output fields

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `channel`, `channelTitle`, `channelSubscribers` | Username, name and subscribers (10.5M becomes 10500000). |
| `postId`, `postUrl`, `date`, `edited` | Post number, t.me link, publish time (UTC) and the edited mark. |
| `author`, `text` | Signature when the channel signs posts; text or caption with line breaks. |
| `views`, `reactions`, `reactionsCount` | Views, each reaction with its count, and the total of non paid reactions. |
| `mediaTypes` | `photo`, `video`, `round_video`, `voice`, `document`, `sticker`, `poll`, `location`. |
| `photos`, `videos`, `documents`, `poll` | Image links; video link, thumbnail, duration; file names, sizes; poll options. |
| `linkPreview` | Link card: URL, site, title, description, image. |
| `links`, `hashtags`, `mentions` | Links, #tags and @mentions in the text. |
| `forwardedFrom`, `replyToUrl` | Source of a forwarded post, and the post it replies to. |
| `searchQuery`, `scrapedAt` | Your filter words (when used) and when the row was read. |

Empty fields are left out of a row.

### Limits

- **Public channels only.** Private channels, groups, chats and invite links have no public preview, so they are skipped with a note in the log.
- **Some channels turn the preview off.** Those return no posts.
- **Counts are rounded by Telegram.** Views, reactions and subscribers come as shown on the page (for example 1.2M), so they are approximate.
- **A few post types do not appear in the preview.** For those, `mediaTypes` holds `not_shown_in_preview`; the post link opens them in Telegram.
- **The word filter reads the channel page by page.** Without a date limit it checks up to 3,000 of the newest posts per channel. Add `newerThan` to search further back.
- **Media links can expire.** Video links carry a signed token, and Telegram may change its file links over time; download files soon after the run if you need them.

### FAQ

**How much does it cost to scrape 10,000 Telegram posts?**
$10, plus $0.001 for each run.

**Do I pay for compute or proxy on top?**
No. Platform usage is included in the $1 per 1,000 price.

**Do I need a Telegram account or API key?**
No. The actor reads the same public pages anyone can open in a browser without logging in.

**How far back can it go?**
To the first post of the channel, if you set `maxPostsPerChannel` high enough. Each page holds about 20 posts.

**Can I get only new posts every day?**
Yes. Schedule the actor with `newerThan` set to `1 day` (or `25 hours` to leave some overlap).

**Can it read comments under posts?**
No. Comments live in linked discussion groups, which are not part of the public channel preview.

**Is it legal?**
The actor collects only public data that Telegram shows to anyone without logging in. You are responsible for how you use it: follow Telegram's terms and the laws that apply to you, including data protection rules when posts mention people.

**Is this an official Telegram product?**
No. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Telegram.

**Do I need an Apify account?**
Yes. Actors run from an Apify account, and a free account is enough to start: it includes $5 of platform usage every month. You can [sign up here](https://www.apify.com?fpr=ymnoit). This is a referral link and it costs you nothing.

**Is there a limit on the free plan?**
Yes. A run started from a free plan account delivers the first 10 results, then ends with a message and a link to the plans. Any paid plan returns everything you ask for, up to your own limit. The price per result is the same on every plan.

### Changelog

- October 2026: first release.

# Actor input Schema

## `channels` (type: `array`):

Public Telegram channels to read. Use the channel name (durov), @durov, or a link such as https://t.me/durov. A link to a single post (https://t.me/durov/300) starts reading at that post and goes back in time. Private chats and invite links have no public page and are skipped.

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keeps only posts whose text, link preview, poll or file names contain all of these words (not case sensitive). Without a date limit, up to 3,000 of the newest posts per channel are checked.

## `newerThan` (type: `string`):

Optional. A date (2026-09-01) or a span back from now (7 days, 12 hours, 2 weeks). Reading stops at the first older post.

## `maxPostsPerChannel` (type: `integer`):

The most posts to take from each channel, newest first.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

The run stops after this many posts across all channels. Minimum 10.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

The t.me preview pages load fine through Apify datacenter proxy, which is the default and costs nothing extra. Switch to residential only if you see repeated errors.

{
  "channels": [
