## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper: open jobs from employer career sites on Workday

**$1 per 1,000 jobs. Platform usage included. No rental, no minimum.**

Workday Jobs Scraper returns the open jobs of any employer career site hosted on Workday (addresses ending in myworkdayjobs.com), as clean rows: title, requisition id, locations, posted date, time type, remote type, link, and the full description if you ask for it. Filter by keyword, location, job category, full or part time, remote type and how recently a job was posted. It reads the public JSON that the career page loads for every visitor, so there is no login, no browser and no API key.

[Open it in Apify Console](https://console.apify.com/actors/PLeoiqju7BohK3E0w/input)

### How much does Workday Jobs Scraper cost?

| Jobs | Price |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $1.00 |
| 10,000 | $10.00 |
| 100,000 | $100.00 |

Plus $0.001 per run. One flat price, platform usage included, so there is no separate compute or proxy bill. A weekly run that collects 2,000 jobs from a few employers costs about $2.00 per run, or about $8 a month.

### Why use it

- **Big career sites in one run.** A Workday search stops at 2,000 jobs on some sites, and the real count can be higher. NVIDIA's site reports 2,000 and holds 2,737. When you ask for more than 2,000 jobs, the actor splits the site by job category (and by a second list if a category is still too big) and reads every part, so you get the whole board.
- **Filters that run on Workday's side.** Location, job category, full or part time, remote type and any other filter list of the site are applied before jobs are read, so you pay only for the jobs you keep. Names are matched for you: type `Germany` or `Engineering`, not an internal id.
- **Several employers at once.** Paste as many career site links as you like. Links to a single job, with `/en-US/` in them, or from the JSON address all work.
- **Honest dates.** Without details, `postedDate` is counted back from Workday's age text ("Posted 3 Days Ago") and marked `postedDateExact: false`. With details it is the real start date.
- **Polite by design.** The actor reads each site's robots.txt first. It keeps to three requests at a time and slows to one request per second if a site asks for it.

### How to use Workday Jobs Scraper

1. Open the actor, paste one or more career site links, press **Start**.
2. Or paste this input:

```json
{
  "careerSites": ["https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"],
  "keyword": "engineer",
  "location": "United States",
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

3. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Use it from code

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/one_dollar_store~workday-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"careerSites": ["https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"], "keyword": "engineer", "maxItems": 50}'
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("one_dollar_store/workday-jobs-scraper").call(
    run_input={
        "careerSites": ["https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"],
        "jobCategory": "Engineering",
        "maxItems": 50,
    }
)
for job in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(job["tenant"], job["jobId"], job["title"], job["jobUrl"])
```

### Use it from an AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants can call this actor through Apify's MCP server. Add it with this server address:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=one_dollar_store/workday-jobs-scraper
```

Then ask, for example: "List the engineering jobs posted in the last week on the NVIDIA Workday career site, with the link to each job."

### Switching from another Workday actor

Most Workday actors take a list of career site links and a result limit. Here the list is `careerSites` and the limit is `maxItems`, with `maxJobsPerSite` to keep one big site from using the whole run. The core fields are `tenant`, `jobId`, `title`, `location`, `locationText`, `postedDate`, `timeType`, `remoteType` and `jobUrl`.

### How to find a career site link

Open the employer's careers page and look at the address. If it contains `myworkdayjobs.com`, the site runs on Workday. Copy the address up to the site name, for example `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite` (employer account `nvidia`, data center `wd5`, site `NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`). One employer can run several sites, such as one for experienced hires and one for students. Each site is its own link. If the address is wrong, the run ends with no rows and the log says so.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| `careerSites` | list of text | none | Career site links, one per line. Required. |
| `keyword` | text | none | Workday's own search box. Matches job titles and descriptions. |
| `location` | text | none | Country, state, city or site name from the career site's own lists. Several with a semicolon: `Germany; France`. |
| `jobCategory` | text | none | Job category or family, such as `Engineering` or `Sales`. Several with a semicolon. |
| `timeType` | choice | any | Any, full time or part time. |
| `remoteType` | choice | any | Any, remote, hybrid or flex, or on-site. Only for sites that have a remote type filter. |
| `workerType` | text | none | The site's job type list, for example `Regular` or `Intern`. |
| `facetFilters` | object | none | Any other filter list of the site, as name and value: `{"Job Category": "Sales; Marketing"}`. The run summary lists the names and values of each site. |
| `postedWithinDays` | number | none | Keeps jobs posted within this many days (1 to 365). |
| `includeDescription` | true or false | false | Adds the description and the detail fields. One extra request per job, so runs are slower. |
| `maxJobsPerSite` | number | none | Most jobs taken from one career site. |
| `maxItems` | number | 100 | Total jobs for the run. Minimum 10, maximum 100,000. |

Example with filters and details:

```json
{
  "careerSites": [
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "https://adobe.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/external_experienced"
  ],
  "jobCategory": "Engineering",
  "timeType": "fullTime",
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
  "includeDescription": true,
  "maxJobsPerSite": 200,
  "maxItems": 400
}
```

### What data does Workday Jobs Scraper return?

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `tenant`, `site`, `dataCenter` | The employer's Workday account, the career site and its data center. |
| `siteUrl`, `jobUrl`, `jobPath` | Link to the career site, link to the job, and the job's path on the site. |
| `jobId` | The employer's requisition number. Good for dropping repeats between runs. |
| `title` | Job title. |
| `postedOnText` | The age as the site words it, for example `Posted 7 Days Ago`. |
| `postedDate`, `postedDateExact` | Posting date in ISO form. Exact only with details, otherwise counted back from the age text. Left out for `Posted 30+ Days Ago`. |
| `location`, `locationText`, `locationCount` | Primary location, the location text of the job list and the number of locations when the list shows a count. |
| `timeType`, `remoteType` | Full or part time and remote type, where the site publishes them. |
| `tags` | Extra labels, such as `Spotlight Job`. |
| `matchedFacets` | The filter values that selected the job, such as its job category. |
| `employerSocialLinks` | Social media pages the employer lists on its career site. |
| `scrapedAt` | When the job was read. |
| With details: `additionalLocations`, `country`, `countryCode`, `requisitionLocation` | All locations, country and the requisition's location record. |
| With details: `hiringEntity`, `applyBy`, `timeLeftToApply`, `canApply`, `jobPostingId` | The hiring organization record, the closing date, Workday's time-left text, whether applications are open, and Workday's posting id. |
| With details: `description` | The full job description as plain text. |

Rows leave out fields the site does not publish. Workday's public data has no employer brand name, so the account name in `tenant` is the employer key. With details, `hiringEntity` shows the hiring organization record, which is often a legal entity or a store code.

### Limits

- Only open jobs that an employer has published on its Workday career site are returned. Internal postings, closed jobs and drafts are not visible to the public.
- The job list gives little: title, requisition id, a location text, the age text, and on some sites the time type or remote type. Everything else (exact date, all locations, country, hiring entity, apply by date, description) needs `includeDescription`, which costs one extra request to the employer's site for every job. Runs with details are slower.
- Workday gives the age of a posting in words and only up to 29 days ("Posted 30+ Days Ago" after that). With `postedWithinDays` of 30 or more, the actor opens each older job to read its start date.
- A Workday search reports and pages at most 2,000 jobs on some sites. Asking for more than 2,000 jobs makes the actor split the site by job category and read the parts, which finds jobs the plain list never shows. A job that sits in several parts is delivered once.
- Filters use the lists of each career site. Lists differ from site to site, and a remote type filter exists only where the employer turned it on. If a filter value matches nothing, that site returns no rows and the log shows the values that exist. The run summary (`RUN_SUMMARY`) lists the filter lists and values of every site.
- `location` of a job with several locations is the primary one. The other locations come with details.
- Workday publishes no employer brand name and no salary field. Pay, when an employer states it, is inside the description text.
- Employer sites that are not on myworkdayjobs.com (for example myworkdaysite.com) are not supported.
- Speed: a plain run reads about 20 jobs per request, so 50 jobs take 4 seconds. A site with more than 2,000 jobs that is split into many small parts is slower: 5,000 jobs from a 19,000 job site took 518 seconds (about 9 jobs a second, 27 October 2026). Runs have a default time limit of one hour; raise Timeout under Run options for very large pulls.

### FAQ

**How much does it cost to scrape 10,000 Workday jobs?**
$10, plus $0.001 for each run.

**Do I pay for compute or proxy on top?**
No. Platform usage is included in the $1 per 1,000 price. The actor calls the career site's public JSON directly and uses no proxy.

**Where does the data come from?**
From the same public JSON address that each Workday career page loads in your browser to show its job list and job pages. It needs no login and no key.

**How do I get only new jobs every day?**
Schedule a daily run with `postedWithinDays` set to 2 and keep the `jobId` values you already have.

**Why did a career site give me no rows?**
Either the link is wrong (the log says no Workday career site answered there), no job matches your keyword and filters, or a filter value does not exist on that site (the log lists the values that do). The run still ends as succeeded, with no rows and no charge for results.

**Why is the posted date marked as not exact?**
Workday's job list gives only words such as "Posted 3 Days Ago". The actor counts back from today and sets `postedDateExact` to false. Turn on `includeDescription` to read the real start date from each job page.

**Is it legal?**
The actor collects only job postings that employers publish for any visitor, with no login, at a modest rate. You are responsible for how you use the data: follow the terms of the employer and of Workday, and the data protection laws that apply to you. Workday's Online Terms of Service for its own website prohibit data mining and robots and ask that robots.txt is not bypassed; those terms do not mention employer career sites on myworkdayjobs.com, and each employer may have its own terms. The actor reads the robots.txt of each career site before it starts. On the sites checked (NVIDIA, Salesforce, Adobe) it disallows only paths such as /refreshFacet/ and not the JSON address this actor reads. If a site ever disallows that address, the actor still reads it, but slows to one request at a time, one second apart. Do not use the data to send unwanted messages.

**Is this an official Workday product?**
No. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Workday, Inc.

### Feedback and support

Found a problem or want a field added? Open an issue on the Issues tab of this actor and it gets read. If the actor saved you time, an honest rating on the Reviews tab helps other people find it.

**Do I need an Apify account?**
Yes. Actors run from an Apify account, and a free account is enough to start: it includes $5 of platform usage every month. You can [sign up here](https://www.apify.com?fpr=ymnoit). This is a referral link and it costs you nothing.

**Is there a limit on the free plan?**
Yes. A run started from a free plan account delivers the first 10 results, then ends with a message and a link to the plans. Any paid plan returns everything you ask for, up to your own limit. The price per result is the same on every plan.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerSites` (type: `array`):

One link per employer career site hosted on Workday. Open the employer's careers page and copy the address, for example https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite. A link to a single job or with a language part (/en-US/) works too. Only addresses ending in .myworkdayjobs.com are accepted.

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Optional. Workday's own search box: matches job titles and descriptions. Example: data engineer.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Optional. A country, state, city or site name from the career site's own location lists. Separate several with a semicolon: Germany; France. Names from one list are combined with OR. If nothing matches, the run ends with no rows and the log shows the names that exist.

## `jobCategory` (type: `string`):

Optional. A job category or job family from the career site, for example Engineering or Sales. Separate several with a semicolon.

## `timeType` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keeps only full time or only part time jobs.

## `remoteType` (type: `string`):

Optional. Works only on career sites that offer a remote type filter. Where there is none, the run ends with no rows for that site and says so.

## `workerType` (type: `string`):

Optional. The career site's own job type list, for example Regular, Intern or Contractor. Separate several with a semicolon.

## `facetFilters` (type: `object`):

Optional. Any other filter list the career site offers, as list name and value. The run summary lists the names and values of each site. Example: {"Job Category": "Sales; Marketing"}.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Keeps jobs posted within this many days. Workday shows exact ages only up to 29 days; for 30 or more the actor opens each older job to read its start date, which adds one request per such job.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the description and the extra detail fields (exact posted date, countries, other locations, hiring entity, apply by date). This costs one extra request per job to the employer's site, so runs are slower. Off by default.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Optional. The most jobs taken from any one career site, after your filters.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

The run stops after this many jobs across all career sites. Minimum 10.
