## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 results

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Zillow Rentals Scraper: Rent Listings by City, ZIP or Search Link

**$1 per 1,000 listings. Platform usage included. No rental, no minimum.**

The four most used Zillow rentals actors on Apify Store charge $2.00 to $4.99 per 1,000 results (Store prices checked 5 October 2026). This actor returns the same kind of data for $1.

[Open it in Apify Console](https://console.apify.com/actors/4xCKfOyJreJaceChA/input)

### What it costs

| Listings | This actor | Most used Zillow rentals actors on the Store |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $1.00 | $2.00 to $4.99 |
| 10,000 | $10.00 | $20 to $49.90 |
| 100,000 | $100.00 | $200 to $499 |

Plus $0.001 per run. A daily run of 200 listings across a few ZIP codes costs $0.201, or about $6.03 over 30 days.

### Why people switch

- **One flat price.** Zillow shows a bot check to most data center addresses, so this actor uses US residential proxy by default. That proxy and the compute are included. The bill follows the number of listings and nothing else.
- **Apartment communities in full.** A community row has the lowest rent, the range, the starting rent for every bedroom count, units available, required fees, the leasing office phone and any special offer on the card.
- **Any search you can make on Zillow.** A city, ZIP code or neighborhood, or a Zillow search link with its area and filters kept. Filter by rental type, rent range, beds and baths.
- **Fast, with no repeats.** In our tests 50 listings took 6 to 10 seconds. A rental found by two of your searches is delivered once, before you are charged.

### Quick start

1. Open the actor, type a city or ZIP code, press **Start**.
2. Or paste this input:

```json
{ "locations": ["Boise, ID"], "maxItems": 50 }
```

3. Download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

### Use it from code

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/one_dollar_store~zillow-rentals-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"locations": ["Boise, ID"], "maxItems": 50}'
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("one_dollar_store/zillow-rentals-scraper").call(
    run_input={"locations": ["83702"], "rentalType": "houses", "maxRent": 2500, "maxItems": 50}
)
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item.get("rentLabel"), item.get("beds"), item["address"])
```

### Use it from an AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants can call this actor through Apify's MCP server. Add it with this server address:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=one_dollar_store/zillow-rentals-scraper
```

Then ask, for example: "Find houses for rent in Boise ZIP 83702 under $2,500 a month and sort them by rent."

### Switching from another Zillow rentals actor

Places go in `locations` (cities, ZIP codes or neighborhoods), and Zillow links go in `searchUrls`. The result limit is `maxItems`. The core fields are `rent`, `rentLabel`, `beds`, `baths`, `livingAreaSqft`, `address`, `zipcode`, `url` and, for communities, `floorPlans`.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| `locations` | list of text | none | Cities, ZIP codes or neighborhoods, for example `Denver, CO` or `10001`. |
| `searchUrls` | list of links | none | Zillow search links copied from your browser. Area and filters in the link are kept. |
| `rentalType` | text | `any` | `any`, `houses`, `townhomes` or `apartments` (Zillow's own groups; `apartments` includes condos and communities). |
| `minRent`, `maxRent` | number | none | Monthly rent range in USD. |
| `minBeds`, `minBaths` | number | none | Lowest number of bedrooms or bathrooms. |
| `maxItems` | number | 100 | Total listings for the run. Minimum 10. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | US residential | Zillow shows a bot check to most data center addresses. The proxy cost is included in the price. |

Give at least one place or link. Example:

```json
{ "locations": ["Boise, ID", "83702"], "rentalType": "houses", "maxRent": 2500, "maxItems": 200 }
```

### Output fields

One row per rental card on Zillow: a single unit (house, townhome, condo or apartment) or a whole apartment community.

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `listingId`, `zpid`, `url`, `isBuilding` | Zillow ids, listing link, and whether the row is a community. |
| `address`, `street`, `city`, `state`, `zipcode`, `latitude`, `longitude` | Location. |
| `rent`, `rentLabel` | Monthly rent as a number, and as Zillow printed it. |
| `beds`, `baths`, `livingAreaSqft`, `homeType`, `statusText` | Single units: size and type. `beds: 0` means a studio. |
| `availableFrom`, `daysOnZillow`, `rentZestimate`, `zestimate` | Single units: move in date, days listed and Zillow estimates. |
| `buildingName`, `rentMin`, `rentMax`, `bedsMin`, `bedsMax`, `floorPlans`, `unitsAvailable` | Communities: rent range and starting rent per bedroom count. |
| `requiredMonthlyFees`, `rentIncludesRequiredFees`, `leasingPhone`, `specialOffer` | Communities: fees, office phone and offer on the card. |
| `photoCount`, `imageUrl`, `has3DTour`, `searchInput`, `scrapedAt` | Photos, which search found the listing, and collection time. |

Empty fields are left out of a row rather than sent as null.

### Sample results

Real rows from test runs on 4 October 2026 (search `Boise, ID`, and ZIP `83702` with houses up to $2,500). Some fields, such as `street`, `city`, `state`, `imageUrl` and the map position, are removed for space.

### Limits

- Zillow shows about the first 1,000 rentals of any one search. For a big city, list its ZIP codes instead; a rental that turns up in two of your searches is delivered once.
- Communities show starting rents per bedroom count, as on the Zillow card. Baths and square feet for each floor plan are only on the community's own page and are not fetched.
- If Zillow shows a bot check, the page is tried again on a new address up to two more times, then that search is skipped and the run moves on. A skipped search adds no billed rows.
- US listings only, as Zillow serves them at run time.
- You pay only for rental rows in your dataset. Run notes and errors are never billed.

### FAQ

**What is the cheapest Zillow rentals scraper on Apify?**
This actor costs $1 per 1,000 listings with platform usage included. The four most used Zillow rentals actors on the Store charged $2.00 to $4.99 per 1,000 when we checked on 5 October 2026.

**How much does it cost to scrape 10,000 Zillow rentals?**
$10, plus $0.001 for each run. Zillow serves about 1,000 rentals per search, so split a large area into ZIP codes.

**Do I pay for compute or proxy on top?**
No. Platform usage, including the US residential proxy, is included in the $1 per 1,000 price.

**Is it legal?**
It reads only public pages that anyone can open without an account. You are responsible for using the data in line with Zillow's terms and the laws where you live, including privacy law.

**Is this an official Zillow product?**
No. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Zillow.

**Do I need a Zillow account or cookies?**
No. Nothing is logged in.

**Why is rent missing on a few rows?**
Some communities show "Call" instead of a price. The row still comes with the address, floor plans and phone, and `rentLabel` shows what Zillow printed.

**What is `rentIncludesRequiredFees`?**
Zillow's own flag saying the shown rent already includes required monthly fees (`requiredMonthlyFees`).

**Can I filter condos only?**
Zillow searches condos and apartments as one group. Choose `apartments` and keep rows with `homeType` `CONDO`.

**Can I run it on a schedule?**
Yes. Use an Apify schedule with the same input to track rents and new listings over time. Every run reads Zillow live.

**Do I need an Apify account?**
Yes. Actors run from an Apify account, and a free account is enough to start: it includes $5 of platform usage every month. You can [sign up here](https://www.apify.com?fpr=ymnoit). This is a referral link and it costs you nothing.

**Is there a limit on the free plan?**
Yes. A run started from a free plan account delivers the first 10 results, then ends with a message and a link to the plans. Any paid plan returns everything you ask for, up to your own limit. The price per result is the same on every plan.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Places to search, one per line, written the way you would type them into Zillow, for example "Denver, CO", "10001" or "Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA".

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional. Paste the link from your browser's address bar after setting up a rental search on zillow.com. The area and filters in the link are kept; the filters below are added on top when you set them.

## `rentalType` (type: `string`):

Zillow groups rentals three ways. Apartments includes condos and apartment communities.

## `minRent` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty for no lower limit.

## `maxRent` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty for no upper limit.

## `minBeds` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty to include studios.

## `minBaths` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty for any number.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

The run stops after this many rentals in total, across all places. Zillow shows about the first 1,000 rentals of any one search, so split a big city into ZIP codes to get more. Minimum 10.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Zillow shows a bot check to most data center addresses, so US residential proxy is the default.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "locations": [
    "Boise, ID"
