## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Career Site Jobs (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable & more)

Get **every open job straight from company career sites**. Paste careers page URLs or just company names, and get
one clean, flat dataset of jobs from **Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Personio,
Teamtailor and Recruitee**: title, department,
locations, remote/hybrid/on-site, employment type, **salary where the company publishes it**, posting date, apply
link and the full description as plain text.

It reads each job board's **public job feed** (the same feeds companies use to show jobs on their own
websites), not the pages, so it's fast, cheap and doesn't break when a careers site is redesigned. These are jobs
as the employer posted them: no duplicates from job boards, no expired reposts, no agency listings.

### What it's for

- **Job alerts and job boards:** watch a list of target companies on a schedule and get only the jobs posted since
  the last run (`onlyNewJobs`). Feed a niche job board, a Slack channel or a newsletter.
- **Recruiters and sales teams:** companies that are hiring are companies that are growing. Track who's hiring for
  which roles, where, and at what salary.
- **Job seekers:** check 50 dream employers in one run for "engineer" roles in London or remote.
- **Market and salary research:** pull every posting from a set of companies with structured salary ranges
  (Ashby, Lever and Recruitee publish them as numbers).
- **AI agents:** one call answers "what is Stripe hiring for in Dublin?" (see MCP below).

### Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `companies` | Careers page URLs, `board:slug`, or company names. See below. |
| `titleKeywords` | Keep jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. `engineer`, `product manager`. |
| `excludeTitleKeywords` | Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. `intern`. |
| `locations` | Keep jobs where any location or the country contains one of these, e.g. `London`, `United Kingdom`, `Remote`. |
| `remoteOnly` | Only remote jobs (marked remote, or with a remote location). |
| `postedWithinDays` | Only jobs posted in the last N days. |
| `onlyNewJobs` | Skip jobs this actor returned on earlier runs, per company. Pair it with a schedule. |
| `includeDescription` | Full description as plain text (on by default). |
| `maxResultsPerCompany`, `maxResults` | Caps (defaults 1,000 and 5,000). |

**What you can put in `companies`:**

- A careers page URL: `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/monzo`,
  `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify`, `https://jobs.eu.lever.co/...`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai`,
  `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`, `https://apply.workable.com/huggingface`,
  `https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup`, `https://acme.jobs.personio.de`, `https://polestar.teamtailor.com`,
  `https://bunq.recruitee.com`.
- `board:slug`, when you know it: `greenhouse:stripe`, `lever:spotify`, `lever-eu:yourcompany`, `ashby:openai`,
  `workable:huggingface`, `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup`, `personio:acme`, `teamtailor:polestar`, `recruitee:bunq`.
- Just the company name, e.g. `Monzo`. The actor tries each supported job board with likely slugs and uses the first
  that has jobs. If a company isn't found it's skipped with a warning, and you aren't charged for it.
- **Workday** sites can't be guessed from a name, so paste the careers page URL (it looks like
  `https://company.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/SiteName`).

**Engineering jobs in London or remote at three companies:**

```json
{
    "companies": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai"],
    "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
    "locations": ["London", "Remote"]
}
```

**Daily alert for new product roles (run on a schedule):**

```json
{
    "companies": ["Monzo", "greenhouse:stripe", "ashby:ramp"],
    "titleKeywords": ["product"],
    "onlyNewJobs": true
}
```

### Output

One row per job, the same shape whichever job board it came from:

```json
{
    "company": "openai",
    "ats": "ashby",
    "boardSlug": "openai",
    "jobId": "1e4e9985-babf-4bd9-8fe8-a2016250780d",
    "title": "Software Engineer, Security Observability",
    "department": "Security",
    "team": "Security",
    "location": "San Francisco",
    "allLocations": ["San Francisco", "New York City", "Seattle", "US - Remote"],
    "country": "United States",
    "workplaceType": null,
    "employmentType": "FullTime",
    "salaryMin": 293000,
    "salaryMax": 325000,
    "salaryCurrency": "USD",
    "salaryPeriod": "1 YEAR",
    "salaryText": "$293K - $325K",
    "postedAt": "2026-04-15T16:54:42.457Z",
    "updatedAt": null,
    "jobUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/1e4e9985-babf-4bd9-8fe8-a2016250780d",
    "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/1e4e9985-babf-4bd9-8fe8-a2016250780d/application",
    "description": "About the Team\n\nSecurity is at the foundation of OpenAI's mission..."
}
```

Fields a job board doesn't publish are `null`. In short: Greenhouse has no salary or employment type, and its
`workplaceType` is only filled when the location says "Remote" or "Hybrid". Workday, Workable, Personio and
Teamtailor don't publish salaries; Workable only says whether a job is remote, not hybrid. Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters and Recruitee
give the company's display name; for Lever and Ashby `company` is the name you typed, or the board slug if you gave a
URL.

### Pricing

**$0.002 per job returned**, plus a token $0.00005 per run. 1,000 jobs cost about $2. Companies that aren't found,
and jobs your filters drop, cost nothing.

### Good to know

- Every run reads the live job board, so closed jobs disappear and new ones appear straight away.
- `onlyNewJobs` remembers results in a named key-value store in your Apify account (`ats-career-jobs-seen`), per
  company. Delete that store to start afresh.
- **Workday** shows at most 2,000 jobs per search. With `titleKeywords` and `locations`, the actor searches and
  filters on Workday's side first, so even the biggest employers (NVIDIA, Salesforce...) come back in seconds. Without
  keywords, very large Workday sites are capped at their 2,000 newest jobs; the run log says when that happens.
- Companies on iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors and other job boards aren't supported yet. Ask on the Issues tab if you
  need one.

### Use it from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor (MCP)

AI assistants can call this actor as a tool through Apify's MCP server. Add this server URL to your MCP client and
sign in with your Apify account when prompted:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=onibaku/ats-career-jobs
```

### Data source

Each job board's public job posting feed: Greenhouse Job Board API, Lever Postings API, Ashby Job Postings API,
SmartRecruiters Posting API, Recruitee Careers Site API, the Workday careers site search, the Workable job widget,
Personio's XML job feed and Teamtailor's careers site RSS. These publish the jobs companies have chosen to make
public, with no login. Every row's `jobUrl` links to the original posting on the company's careers site.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Careers page URLs (e.g. https://jobs.lever.co/spotify, https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite, https://apply.workable.com/huggingface), "board:slug" (e.g. greenhouse:stripe, personio:acme, teamtailor:polestar) or company names (we try every supported job board except Workday, which needs its URL).

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Case-insensitive, e.g. "engineer", "product manager". Leave empty for every job. On Workday sites these are also searched on the server, which is much faster for big employers.

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

e.g. "intern", "senior".

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Matched against the job's locations and country, e.g. "London", "United Kingdom", "Remote".

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only jobs marked remote, or with a remote location.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty for all. Jobs with no posting date are left out when this is set.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers the jobs each run returned (per company) and skips them next time. Use with a schedule for job alerts.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Plain text of the full description. Turn off for smaller, faster output.

## `maxResultsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs from any one company.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total.
