## Pricing

Pay per event

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse, Lever & Ashby Jobs API: Every Open Job From Any Company

Pull all open jobs from any company on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable or SmartRecruiters by careers URL or board slug, and get one identical JSON shape back whichever applicant tracking system (ATS) the company uses.
Pay per use: **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs**, no API key, failed boards are free.

This Actor reads only the official public job-board endpoints that the ATS vendors publish for career pages and aggregators.
It does not scrape HTML, log in to anything, or touch candidate data.

Use it as a Greenhouse job board API, a Lever postings API, an Ashby job board API, or all three behind one schema: hiring-signal monitoring, job aggregators, lead lists of companies that are hiring, and AI agents that need to answer "what roles does this company have open".

### Use it from an AI agent (MCP)

The same job listing tool is available as a hosted MCP server and HTTP API at [api.openkrill.app](https://api.openkrill.app) (tool name `list_jobs`, overview at [tools.openkrill.app](https://tools.openkrill.app)).
On Apify you can also call this Actor from any MCP client through the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp).
The input is a plain array of strings with no credentials, so an agent can fill it in from a company name or careers link.

### What you get

One record per job, the same fields for every ATS:

| Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `id`, `ats`, `companySlug`, `companyName` | Stable identity. Jobs are deduped by `ats` + `id`. |
| `title`, `department`, `team` | As published (team is null where the ATS has no such concept). |
| `locations[]` | `name` as published, plus `city`, `region` and `country` (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code such as `US` or `GB`) when the ATS provides them or the location text states them. |
| `remote` | `true` when the job is remote, `false` when the ATS says hybrid or on-site, `null` when unknown. |
| `workplaceType` | `remote`, `hybrid`, `onsite` or `null` when the ATS and location text do not say. |
| `employmentType` | `full_time`, `part_time`, `contract`, `intern`, `temporary`, `other` or `null`. |
| `compensation` | `min`, `max`, `currency`, `interval`, `summary` when the company publishes pay, else `null`. |
| `descriptionHtml`, `descriptionText` | Full description as HTML and as plain text. |
| `applyUrl`, `sourceUrl` | Where candidates apply, and the public posting page. |
| `postedAt`, `updatedAt` | ISO timestamps where the ATS provides them. |

A board that cannot be fetched produces an `error` record (`type: "error"`, with `code`, `message`, `retryable`, `status`) instead of failing the run.
Error records are never charged.

### Supported sources

| ATS | Endpoint used | Compensation |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Greenhouse | `boards-api.greenhouse.io/v1/boards/{token}/jobs?content=true` | when pay transparency ranges are published |
| Lever | `api.lever.co/v0/postings/{company}?mode=json` | when a salary range is published |
| Ashby | `api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/{name}?includeCompensation=true` | when published |
| Workable | `apply.workable.com/api/v1/widget/accounts/{account}?details=true` | not available |
| SmartRecruiters | `api.smartrecruiters.com/v1/companies/{company}/postings` | not available |

### Input

`companies` accepts a mix of careers URLs (the ATS is detected for you), `ats:slug` tokens, and `{ "ats", "slug" }` objects.

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify",
    "ashby:notion",
    { "ats": "workable", "slug": "huggingface" }
  ],
  "keyword": "engineer",
  "remote": true,
  "postedSince": "2026-09-01",
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 50
}
```

Optional filters: `keyword` (every word must match title, department, team or description), `location` (location text, city, country name or ISO code), `remote`, `department`, `postedSince`.
Filters run after the board is fetched, so results for a board are cached for about an hour regardless of the filters used.

### Example output

```json
{
  "type": "job",
  "id": "5eca795c-48dd-496a-be23-2181068a5450",
  "ats": "lever",
  "companySlug": "metabase",
  "companyName": "Metabase",
  "title": "Analytics Engineer",
  "department": null,
  "team": "Engineering",
  "locations": [{ "name": "Remote-North & South America", "city": null, "region": null, "country": null }],
  "remote": true,
  "workplaceType": "remote",
  "employmentType": "full_time",
  "compensation": null,
  "descriptionText": "Metabase is the easiest way for people to get insights from their data...",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.lever.co/metabase/5eca795c-48dd-496a-be23-2181068a5450/apply",
  "postedAt": "2020-11-19T02:41:25.375Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "sourceUrl": "https://jobs.lever.co/metabase/5eca795c-48dd-496a-be23-2181068a5450"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs** ($0.0015 per `job-returned` event, one event per job in the dataset).
On paid Apify plans the price drops to $1.25 per 1,000 on Silver and $1.00 per 1,000 on Gold and above.
Failed boards and error records are free.
Set `maxJobsPerCompany` and the run's maximum cost to cap spend.

### FAQ

**Do I need an API key or a Greenhouse/Lever/Ashby account?**
No. Only public job-board endpoints are used.

**How do I find a company's board?**
Paste its careers URL (`boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb`, `jobs.lever.co/spotify`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/notion`, `apply.workable.com/huggingface`, `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/Canva`) or use an `ats:slug` token.

**Can it monitor for new jobs?**
Run it on an Apify schedule with `postedSince` set to the last run date.
It returns jobs; it does not keep state between runs.

**Is salary included?**
Where the company publishes a pay range on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby. Workable and SmartRecruiters do not publish pay in these endpoints.

### Limits

- Only companies that use one of the five supported ATSs, and only their public boards. Custom-domain careers pages are not auto-detected: pass `ats:slug` for those.
- `maxJobsPerCompany` defaults to 1000.
- SmartRecruiters needs one extra request per returned job to get the description, so very large boards are slower.
- Workable and SmartRecruiters do not publish pay in these endpoints.
- Data is as fresh as the ATS, cached up to one hour.

### Privacy

Output contains only company-published job data.
No candidate, recruiter or other personal data is collected or returned.

See `docs/notes.md` for endpoint details and known failure modes.
