## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse, Lever & Ashby Job Monitor

Give it a list of companies and some keywords. It returns the job postings that match, with the company, location, and posting date. Turn on **Only new postings** and schedule it, and later runs return only postings you haven't seen, so you pay for new results only.

Use it to spot when a target account starts hiring for a role, or to watch openings at companies you care about.

### Input

- **Careers page URLs**: board links like `https://jobs.lever.co/company`, `https://boards.greenhouse.io/company`, or `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/company`. Other careers pages work too, with fewer details.
- **Keywords**: for example `python`, `data engineer`, `วิศวกร`. Thai and English both work.
- **Only new postings**: skip postings your earlier runs already found.
- **State key**: an optional name for each watch list, such as a client name. Each name remembers its own seen postings.

### Output

```json
{
    "title": "Senior Python Developer",
    "url": "https://jobs.lever.co/company/123",
    "company": "company",
    "location": "Bangkok",
    "postedAt": "2026-10-30T09:00:00+00:00",
    "site": "https://jobs.lever.co/company",
    "matchedKeywords": ["python"],
    "foundAt": "2026-11-01T02:00:00+00:00"
}
```

### What you pay

Each posting in the results is charged. Your first run charges for every matching posting it finds, even with **Only new postings** on, because none have been seen yet. Set a maximum charge for the run if you're watching many companies.

### Check that each page worked

Every run saves a `SITE_STATUS` record in its key-value store, at no charge. It tells you whether each page was read, how many job links it had, and how many matched. `NO_JOB_LINKS` means the page probably needs JavaScript.

### Limits

- `company` on Lever and Ashby is the name in the board's URL. Other careers pages have no company, location, or date.
- Other careers pages are read as HTML, so jobs loaded by JavaScript won't appear. Workday, Workable, and SmartRecruiters pages returned nothing in our tests.
- On those pages, keywords match link text, and the link's URL must contain a word like `job`, `career`, or `position`.
- Keywords match the job title only. Full job descriptions aren't collected.
- Email addresses and Thai phone numbers are removed from titles.
- Check that each site's terms allow automated access before you add it.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerPageUrls` (type: `array`):

Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby board links, such as https://jobs.lever.co/company, or any page that lists job openings. JavaScript-rendered pages are not supported yet.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

A posting is reported when its link text contains any of these. Not case-sensitive.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Turn this on for scheduled runs. Postings already found by your earlier runs are skipped and not charged.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Optional name for this watch list, such as a client name. Each name remembers its own seen postings, so one watch list doesn't hide postings from another.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "careerPageUrls": [
    "https://www.python.org/jobs/"
  ],
  "keywords": [
    "engineer",
    "developer"
  ],
  "onlyNew": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

No description

## `siteStatus` (type: `string`):

No description

};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("oppabank/job-postings-monitor").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
