## Pricing

from $3.75 / 1,000 jobs

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## 💼 Google Jobs Scraper: Listings, Salaries & Direct Apply Links

Get job listings from **Google Jobs** for any role and city, with the **direct apply links** to LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Dice and company career sites. Google Jobs gathers postings from hundreds of job boards into one place; this Actor turns that into clean, structured data, one row per job.

- ✅ **Every apply link**, with the site name and tracking parameters removed, not Google redirects
- ✅ **Salary, job type and posting age** when the posting gives them
- ✅ **Google's job highlights** (qualifications, benefits, responsibilities) and the **full description**
- ✅ **Many searches and cities in one run**, with duplicates removed
- ✅ **Pay only for unique jobs**: repeats, empty searches and failed searches are free

### What does Google Jobs Scraper do?

You give it job searches ("registered nurse", "python developer") and, optionally, locations ("Austin, TX", "Denver, CO"). It then:

1. Runs every search in every location on Google Jobs, as a visitor from the country you choose would see it.
2. Reads each listing: title, company, location, the job board it came from, salary, job type, posting age, highlights and description.
3. Collects the direct apply links Google lists for each job.
4. Drops jobs it has already saved in the same run, so the same posting found by two searches is only charged once.

### Use cases

- 🧑‍💼 **Recruiting and staffing.** A fresh feed of openings by role and city every morning, with the links to apply.
- 💰 **Sales intelligence.** Companies that are hiring have budget. Spot who is growing a team you sell to.
- 📊 **Labour-market research.** Salary ranges, demand by skill, remote versus on-site, by city.
- 📰 **Job boards and newsletters.** Current listings with apply links for your niche or region.
- 🤖 **AI agents.** "Find senior data engineer roles in Denver posted this week, with salaries."

### What data can you get?

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `title`, `company`, `location` | The basics of the posting |
| `via` | The job board Google found it on, e.g. `LinkedIn` |
| `salary` | As published, e.g. `98K–174K a year` or `35–54 an hour`. Only when the employer gave one |
| `employmentType` | `Full-time`, `Part-time`, `Contractor`, `Internship`... |
| `postedAgo`, `postedAt` | Google's "3 days ago", and an estimated timestamp calculated from it |
| `extensions` | Other tags Google shows, such as `Health insurance`, `Paid time off`, `No degree mentioned` |
| `highlights` | Google's summary bullets: `Qualifications`, `Benefits`, `Responsibilities` |
| `description` | The full job description (switch off **Include the full job description** for smaller results) |
| `applyLinks` | `[{ source, url }]` for every place you can apply |
| `googleJobUrl` | The job on Google Jobs |
| `jobId` | Google's ID for the posting, stable across runs |
| `searchQuery`, `searchLocation`, `position` | Which search found it, and where it ranked |

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** (or **Start**) at the top of this page.
2. Type what you would search for into **Job searches**, one per line.
3. Add cities, regions or "remote" to **Locations**, or leave it empty and put the location in the search text.
4. Optionally choose **Posted within** (past 24 hours, 3 days, week or month). Google's own date filter is approximate, so by default jobs outside the window are dropped and not charged; switch off **Only keep jobs inside that window** to get everything Google returns.
5. Press **Start**, then download the results from the **Output** tab as Excel, CSV or JSON.

### How to get many results

Each Google Jobs search returns about **10 jobs**. To collect more, add **more searches and more locations**: every search runs once in every location, and duplicates are removed.

| Searches | Locations | Searches run | Unique jobs, at most |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 1 | about 10 |
| 3 | 3 | 9 | about 90 |
| 10 | 10 | 100 | about 1,000 |

Searches that overlap return some of the same jobs, which are saved once, so the real number is somewhat lower. In testing, 2 roles in 2 cities gave 40 unique jobs out of 40. Variations work well: "registered nurse", "RN", "ICU nurse", "travel nurse".

### Input examples

**One role in a few cities, posted this week.**

```json
{
  "queries": ["registered nurse"],
  "locations": ["Austin, TX", "Dallas, TX", "Houston, TX"],
  "datePosted": "week"
}
```

**Several related roles, location in the search text.**

```json
{
  "queries": ["python developer remote", "django developer remote", "backend engineer python remote"]
}
```

**Another country and language.**

```json
{
  "queries": ["software engineer"],
  "locations": ["London"],
  "country": "gb",
  "language": "en"
}
```

### Output example

### Statuses and errors

The dataset contains only jobs, so it stays clean for spreadsheets and integrations. Anything that goes wrong is in the run log:

| Log line | Meaning | Charged? |
|---|---|---|
| `"nurse in Austin, TX": 10 job(s), 7 new.` | Normal. "New" excludes jobs already found by an earlier search | Only the new ones |
| `"...": 0 job(s), 0 new.` | Google Jobs had nothing for that search | No |
| `..., 3 older than the "today" window skipped` | Google returned postings older than **Posted within** allows; they were dropped | No |
| `"...": Google did not return results after 4 attempts` | Google refused the search four times in a row. The rest of the run continues | No |
| Run fails with `Every search failed` | Google refused every search in the run. Try again in a few minutes | No |

### How much does it cost?

You pay per unique job saved. Duplicates, empty searches and failed searches are free. Platform usage and Google search proxies are included.

| Jobs | Price on the Free and Bronze tiers |
|---|---|
| 100 | $0.50 |
| 1,000 | $5.00 |
| 10,000 | $50.00 |

Larger Apify plans pay less per job: 15% less on Silver, and 25% less on Gold and above.

### FAQ

#### Can I use it through the API?

Yes. For a quick search, the synchronous endpoint returns the jobs in one request:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/optimistical_lectern~google-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"queries": ["data analyst"], "locations": ["Austin, TX"]}'
```

JavaScript:

```js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('optimistical_lectern/google-jobs-scraper').call({ queries: ['data analyst'], locations: ['Austin, TX'], datePosted: 'week' });
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

Python:

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("optimistical_lectern/google-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={"queries": ["data analyst"], "locations": ["Austin, TX"], "datePosted": "week"})
items = client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items
```

#### Can AI agents use it?

Yes. It runs with limited permissions, so it needs no approval step. Add it to Claude, Cursor or any other MCP client through Apify's MCP server at `mcp.apify.com`, using the Actor name `optimistical_lectern/google-jobs-scraper`.

#### Can I get new jobs every day?

Yes. Create a schedule in Apify Console with **Posted within** set to **Past 24 hours**, and send the results to Google Sheets, Slack, a webhook or your database with an integration. `jobId` stays the same across runs, so you can tell new postings from ones you have seen.

#### Why about 10 jobs per search?

That is what Google Jobs shows for a search before you scroll. Add more searches, variations and locations to cover more of the market.

#### Why is salary sometimes empty?

Salary is only shown when the employer published it. Google's highlights sometimes include pay information too; check `highlights.Benefits`.

#### Is it legal to scrape Google Jobs?

The tool collects job postings that are publicly shown to any visitor. Using automated tools on Google may go against Google's terms of service, and whether that matters depends on how and where you use the data. If you are unsure, ask a lawyer.

#### Something looks wrong?

Open an issue on the **Issues** tab with the search and location. Every report is read.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

What you would type into Google Jobs, one per line, e.g. 'registered nurse' or 'python developer remote'. Each search returns up to about 10 jobs, so add more searches for more results.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Optional. Every search is run once for each location, e.g. 'Austin, TX' and 'Denver, CO'. Leave empty to put the location in the search text instead.

## `datePosted` (type: `string`):

Ask Google for recent postings only.

## `strictDateFilter` (type: `boolean`):

Google's date filter is approximate and lets some older postings through. With this on, jobs older than the window you chose are dropped and not charged.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Switch off for smaller results when you only need the listing fields and apply links.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code for the Google search, e.g. us, gb, ca, de.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language code for the results, e.g. en, de, fr.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches to run at the same time.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "queries": [
    "software engineer"
  ],
  ],
  "datePosted": "any",
  "strictDateFilter": true,
  "includeDescription": true,
  "country": "us",
  "language": "en",
  "maxConcurrency": 5
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One item per unique job across all searches.
