## Changelog

### 1.0.9 (2026-10-07)

- Monitor mode: `firstRunDaysBack` default raised from 3 to 10 days. FDA publishes enforcement reports weekly, so 3 days could return 0 rows. Explicit `daysBack`/`fromDate` still win.

### 1.0.8 (2026-10-07)

- Monitor mode: the first run of a new `monitorId` (no saved state) looks back `firstRunDaysBack` days (new input, default 3) instead of 30, unless you set `daysBack` or `fromDate`. Later monitor runs and normal runs are unchanged.
- When a run stops at `maxItems` or the max cost per run, the status message says "Returned X of Y+ new recalls. Raise maxItems to get them all." Y counts recalls actually seen; no `+` only when every source was read to the end.
- README: first-run backlog, `maxItems` 500 recommended for daily monitors, approximate daily cost.

### 1.0.5 (2026-10-04)

- New optional input `keywordFields` (productName, title, description, reason, firm) to limit where keywords must appear. Default = all fields, so existing inputs behave exactly as before.
- FDA: the openFDA keyword clause searches only the matching openFDA fields; when none apply (e.g. title only) FDA sources are skipped without a request.

### 1.0 (2026-10-04)

- First release: FDA food, drug and medical-device enforcement reports (openFDA) and CPSC consumer-product recalls in one call.
- Filters: date window, keywords, FDA class, FDA status, recalling-firm state.
- Monitor mode (only new recalls, pay only for new ones), time budget for AI agents, fair share of `maxItems` across sources.
- Optional openFDA API key (secret input, never logged); an invalid key is reported as FDA_API_KEY_INVALID.
- Privacy: no street addresses, postal codes or CPSC consumer-contact details in the output.

### Console prefill cap (2026-10-05)

- Input: `maxItems` Console prefill lowered so a first one-click run from the Store costs at most $0.02 including the start fee. The default for API callers who omit `maxItems` is unchanged. No code or pricing changes.
