## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## UCC Lien Filings – New Business Financing & Tax Liens

See **which businesses just took secured financing, and from whom**. Get new **UCC-1 financing statements** and business **tax liens** from official state filing-office data in **Colorado, Connecticut and Oregon**: debtor business, address, lender (secured party), collateral description, filing and lapse dates.

About **9,000 new business filings a month**. No API key, no login, no scraping of state websites.

### Why UCC filings are great leads

A UCC-1 means a business just borrowed against its assets: a bank loan, SBA loan, equipment lease, merchant cash advance or vendor credit. That makes them ideal for:

- **Business lenders, MCA and revenue-based financing**: businesses actively seeking capital, with their current funder named
- **Equipment dealers and lessors**: see who's financing tractors, trucks, copiers and machinery (Caterpillar, John Deere and similar)
- **Refinancing and debt consolidation**: businesses stacking multiple advances
- **Tax resolution firms**: businesses with new IRS, state or municipal tax liens (Connecticut, Colorado)
- **Credit, risk and competitive intelligence**: monitor customers, vendors or a lender's portfolio

### What's in the data

| State | Update | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| **Colorado** | daily | debtor, secured party, **collateral description** (equipment, receivables, all assets…), IRS and statutory liens |
| **Connecticut** | daily | debtor, secured party, lien category (**IRS / municipal / state tax liens**), lapse date |
| **Oregon** | monthly (previous month) | debtor, secured party, link to the filing image |

Top secured parties include the **U.S. Small Business Administration**, MCA filing agents (**Corporation Service Company** and **CT Corporation** as representative), **Caterpillar Financial**, banks and equipment lessors.

### Features

- 🆕 **Filed within the last N days**, newest first
- 🗂️ **Filing types**: new financing statements (default), tax liens, other liens, continuations, amendments, terminations
- 🎯 **Filters**: lender keywords (`SBA`, `capital`, `funding`, `leasing`, `Corporation Service Company`), collateral keywords (`receivables`, `equipment`, `all assets`), debtor keywords, debtor city, ZIP and state
- 🔁 **Only new filings**: remembers what you've received, for a clean daily feed
- 🔒 **Business debtors only**: filings against individuals are excluded, individual lenders are unnamed, individual co-debtors are redacted from collateral text, "attn" lines are removed from addresses, hospital and restitution liens are never collected, and bogus "sovereign citizen" filings are filtered out

### Good to know

- **Oregon is monthly.** It publishes the previous month's filings at the start of each month, so use a window of 45+ days for Oregon.
- **"As representative" lenders.** Many fintech, MCA and SBA lenders file through agents such as Corporation Service Company or CT Corporation, and the agent is what appears as the secured party.
- **Contact rules.** This is public filing data. When you contact these businesses, follow CAN-SPAM, TCPA and do-not-call rules.
