## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU TED Tenders API – Public Procurement Notices

Search, filter and monitor **EU public procurement notices** from TED (Tenders Electronic Daily, the Supplement to the Official Journal of the EU) and get them as clean, flat JSON. The Actor talks to the **official TED Search API** run by the Publications Office of the EU, so there is no HTML scraping, no proxies, no blocking and no missing notices: what TED publishes, you get, usually within the hour.

Every year TED publishes **hundreds of thousands of notices** worth over EUR 500 billion: calls for tender, contract awards, prior information notices and corrigenda from ministries, cities, hospitals, utilities and universities in all EU member states plus the EEA and other participating countries.

### What you can do with it

- **Find open tenders** in your sector and country before the deadline (e.g. CPV `72` IT services in `DEU` and `AUT`, deadline after today).
- **Monitor new notices** daily: set a *monitor key*, schedule the task, and each run returns only notices you have not received before. Pipe them to Slack, email, Google Sheets or your CRM with Apify integrations.
- **Win/loss intelligence**: pull *contract award* notices to see which companies win which contracts, in which countries, for how much.
- **Lead generation for B2G sales**: buyer name, country, city, email, phone and website of the contracting authority (official contact points published in the notice).
- **Market research and datasets**: thousands of notices per run with CPV codes, NUTS place of performance, estimated and awarded values, procedure types and durations.

### Input

All filters are optional and combine with AND. Leave everything empty to get the newest notices of the last 7 days.

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `keywords` | Words or phrases matched against title and description (any language). Choose *any* or *all* with `keywordMode`. |
| `cpvCodes` | CPV codes; 8 digits match exactly, shorter prefixes match the whole group (`72` = IT services, `45` = construction, `33` = medical, `09` = energy, `79` = business services). |
| `buyerCountries` | ISO alpha-3 codes of the contracting authority: `DEU`, `FRA`, `NLD`, `IRL`, `POL`, `ESP`, `ITA`, `SWE`, `NOR`, ... |
| `placeOfPerformanceCountries` | ISO alpha-3 or NUTS codes of where the contract is performed (`DEU`, `DE21`, `FR10`). |
| `noticeCategories` | `competition` (calls for tender), `result` (contract awards), `planning` (prior information), `change` (corrigenda), `modification`. |
| `noticeTypes` | Advanced: exact eForms notice types (`cn-standard`, `can-standard`, `pin-only`, `veat`, ...). Overrides categories. |
| `publishedAfter` / `publishedBefore` | Publication date window (YYYY-MM-DD). |
| `deadlineAfter` / `deadlineBefore` | Tender submission deadline window. `deadlineAfter` = today gives you only tenders still open. |
| `minEstimatedValue` | Minimum estimated procedure value. |
| `expertQuery` | Advanced: a raw TED expert-search query; when set, all other filters are ignored. |
| `maxItems` | How many notices to return (default 100, up to 10,000 per run). |
| `language` | Preferred language for title/description when a translation exists (`eng` default, falls back to the original). |
| `monitorKey` | Any name. With a key set, each run only returns notices not delivered under that key before. |
| `includeRaw` | Attach the full multilingual API record. |

Example input – open IT tenders in Germany and Austria worth at least EUR 500,000:

```json
{
  "cpvCodes": ["72"],
  "buyerCountries": ["DEU", "AUT"],
  "noticeCategories": ["competition"],
  "deadlineAfter": "2026-10-20",
  "minEstimatedValue": 500000,
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

### Output

  "fetchedAt": "2026-10-16T14:31:02Z"
}
```
Contract award notices (`result`) fill `winnerNames`, `winnerCountries`, `tenderValue` and `totalValue`.
`deadlineDate` is the deadline for receipt of tenders. Two-stage procedures (restricted, competitive dialogue, negotiated) publish a deadline for *requests to participate* instead, which you find in `deadlineRequestDate`; between the two, nearly every call for tender has a date. Buyer email, phone and website are the official contact points the authority published in the notice, filled for virtually all notices since the 2024 eForms switch.
### Pricing
The current price is always shown on the **Pricing tab** of this page. The Actor is priced per **notice returned** (or free while no per-notice price is listed) and uses no proxies and no browser, so platform usage is negligible. Notices that do not match your filters are never charged. A run returning 1,000 notices takes well under a minute. Use `maxItems` and the run's spending limit to control cost.
### Notes and limits
- Data source: the official TED Search API (`api.ted.europa.eu`). Notices are published by TED usually within one working day of dispatch; this Actor cannot be faster than TED itself.
- Older notices (before the 2024 eForms switch) have fewer structured fields; values such as buyer email or estimated value may be `null` where the notice did not contain them.
- TED notices can be freely reused for commercial and non-commercial purposes under the Publications Office legal notice. Buyer contact details are the official contact points that authorities publish for this purpose; please use them responsibly and respect applicable data-protection law.
- Use `expertQuery` for anything the simple filters do not cover; the TED expert search syntax supports all 1,800+ fields of the eForms standard.
### Integrations and API
Run it on a schedule, use the Apify API, webhooks or the Apify MCP server from any AI agent, and export to JSON, CSV, Excel, Google Sheets or your database. Questions or a field you need added: open an issue in the Issues tab and it will be answered within days.
