## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Israel Government Tenders & Exemptions Scraper (mr.gov.il)

Get **live** Israeli government tenders, procurement exemption notices and central tenders from the official Government Procurement Portal (mr.gov.il) as clean, structured JSON. No browser, no proxy, fast and cheap to run.

### What you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `title` | מכרז לרכישת מחשבים ניידים |
| `publisher` | משרד האוצר - סיגמה |
| `publicationNumber` / `procedureNumber` | 4000623493 / 10/2026 |
| `status` | פורסם |
| `publishedDateIso`, `updatedDateIso` | 2026-10-29 |
| `submissionStartIso`, `submissionDeadlineIso` | 2026-11-03T11:00 / 2026-11-10T11:00 |
| `submissionInstructions` | where to submit the bid |
| `documents` | tender documents file names |
| `topics` | מחשבים |
| `url` | link to the official notice |

With **Include full description**: `description`, `exemptionReasons` (for exemption notices) are added.

### Use cases

- Daily alert on new tenders in your field (IT, construction, security, marketing...)
- Lead lists for suppliers: who buys what, from which ministry, and when bids close
- Market research on government spending patterns
- Feed a CRM or a Slack/WhatsApp alert through Apify schedules and webhooks

### Input

- **Notice type:** tenders, exemptions, or central tenders
- **Keyword:** Hebrew works best (e.g. `מחשבים`, `שיווק`, `בנייה`)
- **Statuses, publisher contains, only still open for submission, updated since**
- **Max items** (up to 5,000)

Results are sorted newest-update first, so a daily run with `updatedFrom` set to yesterday is cheap.

### Data and privacy

Only public procurement data published by the Israeli government is collected. Contact persons' names and emails are intentionally **not** collected. You are responsible for using the data in line with the portal's terms and applicable law.

### Notes

- Dates are provided both as shown on the portal and as ISO values.
- The portal uses Hebrew; field values stay in Hebrew, field names are in English.
