## Pricing

from $0.10 / 1,000 review scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Reviews Scraper: Android App Reviews and Ratings

Scrape **Google Play reviews** for any Android app, in any country and language, without logging in. Get each review's star rating, text, date, app version, thumbs-up count and the **developer's reply**, plus the app's average rating, number of ratings, installs and other details.

### What it does

- Reads Google Play's own reviews feed, 150 reviews per request, for as many reviews as you need (up to 30,000 per app and country).
- Sort by **newest**, **most helpful** or **rating**, and filter by **star rating** and **date**.
- One **app details** row per app and country: name, developer, category, average rating, rating count, review count, installs, content rating, version and last update.
- Many apps and countries in one run.
- Find apps by **app ID** (`com.spotify.music`) or **Play Store link**.

### Who it's for

- **Product and UX teams** tracking what Android users say after each release.
- **Competitor research**: compare ratings and complaints across rival apps and countries.
- **Agencies and analysts** building review dashboards or feeding reviews into AI summaries and sentiment analysis.
- **App marketers** watching ratings and replying faster to negative reviews.

### Input

| Field | What to enter |
| --- | --- |
| Apps | App IDs (`com.spotify.music`) or links (`https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music`) |
| Countries | Two-letter codes, e.g. `us`, `gb`, `de` |
| Language | e.g. `en`, `de`, `fr` |
| Maximum reviews per app and country | Up to 30,000 |
| Sort reviews by | Newest, most helpful or rating |
| Minimum / maximum star rating | e.g. 1 to 2 for complaints |
| Reviews since | Only reviews on or after a date |
| Include app details | On by default |

```json
{ "apps": ["com.spotify.music"], "countries": ["us", "gb"], "maxReviewsPerApp": 1000, "maxRating": 2 }
```

### Output

Review rows:

```json
{
  "type": "review", "appId": "com.example.app", "appName": "Example App", "country": "us",
  "reviewId": "1b2c3d4e-...", "rating": 2, "text": "Keeps crashing since the last update...",
  "author": "Jane D", "date": "2026-10-20T08:15:00.000Z", "thumbsUp": 14, "appVersion": "8.9.1",
  "replyText": "Sorry about this, we're fixing it in the next release.", "replyDate": "2026-10-21T09:00:00.000Z",
  "reviewUrl": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.example.app&reviewId=1b2c3d4e-..."
}
```

App rows (`"type": "app"`) carry `averageRating`, `ratingCount`, `reviewCount`, `installs`, `developer`, `category`, `version` and more.

### Pricing

| Event | When it is charged | Price per 1,000 (Free / Bronze / Silver / Gold plan) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| App checked | Each app and country: the app details row and reading its reviews, once per started 30 seconds or 3 MB (about 2,000 reviews). Also charged when an app is not found. | $2 on every plan |
| Review scraped | Each review returned in the dataset. | $0.15 / $0.13 / $0.12 / $0.10 |

Example: 3 apps in 2 countries with 1,000 reviews each on the Free plan costs about 6 × $0.002 + 6,000 × $0.00015 = $0.91.

Set a **maximum cost per run** in Apify and the scraper stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Notes and limits

- Google Play shows only reviews with written text; star-only ratings are counted in `ratingCount` but are not returned as reviews.
- Reviews differ by country and language. Add the countries you need.
- Google Play does not give review titles, so there is no `title` field.
