## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs API: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee & Personio

Get **every open job from any company's careers page** in one clean, normalized format, straight from the
public job-board APIs that power those pages. Paste company names or careers-page URLs; the Actor
**auto-detects the ATS** (applicant tracking system) and returns structured jobs with title, location,
remote flag, department, **salary range** (when published), posting date, and apply link.

**$3 per 1,000 jobs.** No monthly fee, no start fee. You only pay for jobs returned.

### Why this Actor

- **8 ATSs in one Actor**: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever (US + EU), Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio.
- **Workday career sites** (NVIDIA, banks, retailers, universities...): paste the careers URL, e.g.
  `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`. Title keywords are sent to Workday search,
  so big boards are covered beyond Workday's 2,000-job listing limit.
- **One schema for all**: no per-ATS parsing in your pipeline.
- **Fast and reliable**: official public JSON endpoints, no browser and no proxies. Stripe's 700+ jobs arrive in about 1 second.
- **New-jobs-only mode**: schedule it daily and get only jobs that appeared since the last run. Good for
  alerts, Slack, Google Sheets, or CRM enrichment.
- **Filters**: title keywords, exclusions, locations, remote-only, posted within N days.

### Use cases

- **Job boards and aggregators**: keep listings fresh for hundreds of target companies.
- **Recruiting and sales intelligence**: hiring signals ("who is hiring ML engineers in Berlin?") for outbound.
- **Job seekers**: watch your dream companies and get alerted about new roles.
- **Market research**: salary ranges, remote share, and team growth by company.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
Force an ATS with `lever:netflix`. |
| `keywords` / `excludeKeywords` | Match on job title (case-insensitive). |
| `locations` | e.g. `Berlin`, `Germany`, `London`; add `remote` to include remote jobs. |
| `remoteOnly`, `postedWithinDays` | Extra filters. |
| `onlyNewJobs` | Output only jobs not seen in previous runs (per company). |
| `includeDescription` | Add the full plain-text job description. |
| `maxItems` | Hard cap on jobs returned (and charged). |

**Finding a company's slug:** open its careers page; the slug is in the URL of the job board
(`boards.greenhouse.io/<slug>`, `jobs.lever.co/<slug>`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/<slug>`, ...). Or just paste the URL.

### Output example

```json
{
  "ats": "ashby",
  "company": "ramp",
  "jobId": "34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8...",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)"],
  "country": "USA",
  "remote": true,
  "workplaceType": "Hybrid",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salaryMin": 211400,
  "salaryMax": 248700,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryInterval": "1 YEAR",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-...",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-.../application",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35+00:00",
  "description": null,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-17T22:10:00+00:00"
}
```

A per-company summary (ATS detected, open jobs, matched) is saved in the run's key-value store as `SUMMARY`.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.003 per job** ($3 per 1,000). Companies with no matching jobs cost nothing.
Set a maximum cost per run in Apify and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** It reads the same public job-board APIs that companies publish so that their careers
pages and job aggregators can display openings. It collects no personal data.

**A company isn't found.** It may use a different ATS (iCIMS, Taleo, a custom site) or a different slug.
Paste the exact careers-page URL. To request a new ATS, open an issue.

**Workday dates.** Workday lists only "Posted today / N days ago / 30+ days ago", so `postedAt` is
day-precise, and empty for jobs older than 30 days unless `includeDescription` is on (then the exact date is used).

**Salary is empty.** Salary is included only when the company publishes it, which is common in Ashby,
and in Lever/Greenhouse for US roles under pay-transparency laws.

### Support

Open an issue in the **Issues** tab. We usually respond within 24 hours and ship fixes quickly.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Company board slugs or careers-page URLs, one per line. Workday needs the full careers-page URL; other bare slugs are auto-detected across all supported ATSs; force one with a prefix like lever:netflix.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Only keep jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive). Leave empty for all jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. intern, senior.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Only keep jobs whose location/country contains one of these strings, e.g. Berlin, Germany, US, London. Use 'remote' to also include remote jobs.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only keep jobs marked remote by the job board or with 'remote' in the location.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only keep jobs first published within this many days. Leave empty for no limit.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remember job IDs between runs (per company) and output only jobs not seen before. Ideal for scheduled runs that feed alerts, Slack, or a CRM.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the plain-text job description to every job. Makes results larger; slower for SmartRecruiters and Workday (one extra request per job).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total. You are only charged for jobs returned.
