## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Remote Jobs API: Remote OK, Jobicy & Arbeitnow

Fresh **remote jobs from three remote job boards in one normalized, deduplicated feed**: Remote OK, Jobicy and
Arbeitnow (remote-only listings). Filter by keyword, location, minimum salary and posting date, or run
it on a schedule with **new-jobs-only** mode to power alerts, newsletters, Slack channels or spreadsheets.

**$2 per 1,000 jobs.** No monthly fee. You only pay for jobs returned.

### Features

- **One schema for all boards**: title, company, location, remote, job type, category and tags, salary range, posted date, URL.
- **Filters**: title keywords, exclusions, locations (e.g. `Europe`, `USA`, `Worldwide`), minimum salary, posted within N days.
- **New jobs only**: remembers what you've already received and outputs only new listings.
- **Source attribution built in**: every item carries `sourceName`, the original listing `url`, and an `attribution` line.

### Attribution (please read)

These boards share their data on the condition that you **credit them and link to the original
listing**. If you display these jobs publicly:

- **Remote OK**: link to the job's Remote OK URL (followed link, no `nofollow`), mention "Remote OK" as the source, and don't use their logo without permission.
- **Jobicy**: keep the Jobicy job URL and the source attribution; don't present listings as your own.
- **Arbeitnow**: link back to Arbeitnow.com.

The `url`, `sourceName` and `attribution` fields make this a one-liner in your template.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `keywords` / `excludeKeywords` | Match on job title (any keyword). |
| `locations` | Location contains any of these (e.g. `Europe`, `USA`, `Worldwide`). |
| `minSalary` | Keep jobs whose published max salary is at least this (jobs without salary are dropped). |
| `postedWithinDays` | Only recent jobs. |
| `sources` | Subset of `remoteok`, `jobicy`, `arbeitnow`. |
| `onlyNewJobs` | Output only jobs not returned in previous runs. |
| `includeDescription` | Add the plain-text description. |
| `maxItems` | Hard cap on jobs returned (and charged). |

### Output example

```json
  "source": "remoteok",
  "sourceName": "Remote OK",
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.002 per job** ($2 per 1,000). Set a max cost per run and the Actor stops cleanly.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title, tags or category contain at least one of these words, e.g. python, designer. Empty = all jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. intern, senior.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location text contains one of these strings, e.g. Europe, USA, Germany. 'Worldwide' also matches jobs open to anyone.

## `minSalary` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs that state a salary at or above this number (in the job's own currency/period). Jobs without salary are dropped.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs published within this many days.

## `sources` (type: `array`):

Job boards to query. Default: all of remoteok, jobicy, arbeitnow.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remember seen job IDs between runs and output only new ones. Ideal for scheduled alerts.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add plain-text job description to each job.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs. You are only charged for jobs returned.
