## Nordic Company Registry: Norway & Finland Business Search

Search the official company registries of **Norway** (the Brønnøysund Register Centre's Enhetsregisteret) and **Finland** (PRH/YTJ open data). You can search by **company name**, **city**, **industry code (NACE)**, **registration date** (handy for lists of newly registered companies) and, for Norway, **minimum employees**. Each row includes the country, organisation or business ID, name, legal form, industry code and description, stated business purpose (Norway), business address, postcode, city, municipality, employees (Norway), founding and registration dates, website, VAT and group flags (Norway), bankruptcy, liquidation and active status, the EU ID (Finland) and a link to the official registry page. **Sole proprietorships**, emails, phone numbers and c/o names are excluded. No login or API key is needed.

### How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a small fee **per company** returned, plus a tiny per-run start fee. There is no subscription and no separate platform usage cost. For example, 1,000 companies cost about $1. Searches with no matches and error rows are **not charged**. Use **Max results per country** or **Maximum cost per run** to cap your spending.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** Yes. Norway's Enhetsregisteret data is open under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD), and Finland's PRH open data is licensed under **CC BY 4.0** (source: Finnish Patent and Registration Office). Both are offered through free public APIs. Sole proprietorships are left out because they are registered to private individuals.

**Why are employee counts missing for Finland?** Finland's open data does not include employee numbers.

**Which industry codes should I use?** Use NACE codes. Norway uses dotted codes (62.100), and Finland uses five digits (62100). Both moved to the 2025 NACE revision, so older codes may return nothing.

**Can I add Sweden or Denmark?** Their registries need paid or registered access, so they are not included.
